Why don’t we act decisively when we go to war
Why don’t we crush the enemy
The enemy is trying to crush us
What on earth are we waiting for…

… Pauses, short ceasefires, humanitarian aid
all allow the enemy to regroup
and come back stronger than ever
What on earth are we waiting for…

                  There’s a detail we’ve overlooked here.
                        a little tiny detail
Perhaps one ceasefire can lead to another
And another, and even a cessation of hostilities, who knows

And perhaps, just perhaps, we can save dozens, hundreds
                         ~ even thousands of lives

The Boy from Another World

There once was a boy who wondered what love could be,
He asked his mother for answers, but none came to see.

He believed love was more than a moment or touch,
A bond of the soul, something deeper as such.

As a child, numbers never stayed in his mind,
No matter how hard he tried, they were always unkind.

Yet in his dreams, a girl softly would say,
“Don’t give up now… you’ll find your way.”

He drew her in silence, a world of his own,
Where her gentle voice made his weakness unknown.

They called him crazy, they laughed at his view,
But he kept moving forward, though nobody knew.

Lost in the numbers, he failed time again,
But her unseen support eased all of his pain.

With time, the same boy they once denied,
Became a mind no limits could hide.

Once lost and alone in numbers and fear,
Now stronger than ever, his path became clear.
And the girl he imagined is finally near.

Never underestimate anyone.

The guy with the flowers and the milk tray
So sorry, she’s having an affair
With me
I’m your friend too
Strange the things we do
Just sort of happened
You would understand if it wasn’t you
We should end it, walk away
Start another day
We won't
Not till all the cards are played
We know the end
The hurt, the betrayal
The words they say
You, they hate the most
Now the ghost
Doors are closed
Family walk away
Strange, the marriage stronger than ever now
I did that
Self-congratulations as I walk away
Yet I don't see the gratitude coming my way..

Why do I love her

It’s back again
Stronger than ever
Can feel it eating away at me
As it gives me a feeling

Is it true?
Did I misinterpret?
Misguided feelings
It all feels the same

I feel alone
But I’m not cold
It suffocates as it watches
Waiting to see me break

I think I’ll give in
This has no logic
But is understood perfectly
From a perspective

I’m blinded by it
Losing my way as I spiral
I wish I could meet, the source of this pain
But alas I can’t

I’m stuck
Feel like I’m in mud
The feeling gives both pleasure and pain
I don’t mind the first, despise the other

Tried to break free
Tried to forget
Tried to lose myself
But it kept getting real

Vivid imaginations constantly
Of a union that may never happen
I turn and hold my chest
At the thought that I can’t make it real

Constant meet ups with no actual linkups
Always on my mind
Every waking breath
Makes God jealous

Feels like sin
I can’t deny that
But it feels like purpose
A peek in a future

But this future is on a cliff
Waiting to be saved or pushed
Forever held dear or forgotten
Accepted or denied

Why do I choose this?
Why do I suffer?
Why do I endure?
Why do I Love her?

the voyage

The Voyage

Milking cows at nine years old, how could they
sending a boy to do farm work, saying it was
to alleviate poverty
Good memories were to lean a sleepy head
against a cow's stomach, sleep until the beast
slightly stirred, not once did they kick
the bucket under the udder of an angry cow
Often, cows are gentle creatures.
packed away to sea at fifteen, how dare they
on the ships of Tommy Robertson, where
Kindness was weakness; the strong survive
Or was it an Elon Musk utterance?
A dark port in the Black Sea, a dark landscape
still filled with the fog of war, a mighty land
recuperating after a deadly war
Poor Russia, how it has been hated through
time by Europe, who wanted her cut to pieces
to get to her riches; how they all failed
Russia is stronger than ever before. How dare
They try to diminish her.
The boy has travelled far, so far that he is now
old, a survivor who listens to the howling wind
The wiping wind on the windowsill knows he
was lucky while waiting for the final chapter
That means the collapse of the world order

Premium Member Addiction

Some days, too much is not enough.
Other days, just enough is too much.
What I used to do just to get my fix.
Remembering that person who I used to be.
That temporary reprieve.
Lasting for what feels like only heartbeats.
That temporary reprieve from physical, emotional ache.
The bridges I’ve burned.
The pain and tears I’ve caused.
Now I live true to myself, clean and sober.
Having a life I didn’t know I could have.
Not a day goes by I don’t work on my recovery.
Every day is a challenge, some more than others.

Addiction is the shadow in the corner, always trying to unite with you, knowing your will is stronger than ever.

You’ve tasted the freedom of recovery, now remember it.

I will not return till victory

I'm the one who rose up like a strom from the ashes of her child's remains
I'm the one who rose up for every single drop of blood my brother shed
Thy sacrifices have made me stronger than ever
Those vandalized villages of mine has raged the fire of hatred within for the enemy
I the enlightened one have found the path of freedom I won't return till victory
I have seen those naked hurt feets of the orphans
I have seen broken widows
I have seen dying mothers
I have seen the darkness of the dungeons engulfing the freedom to live
I will be their Phoenix of light and bring freedom in the form of an epic poetry
I, immersed in the river of blood, will sing the glory of freedom till my last
O my country men not anymore am I the damsel in distress rather I stand side by side of thy self fighting for our freedom
My voice have voiced millions of women
My hands have held millions of my country men
We walk together breaking the shackles of pain and slavery
O my country men, brothers of mine, I have changed for the best, I the enlightened one
I the enlightened woman have found the path out of misery I won't return till victory

Premium Member I Saw God, But Now What

Once faithless;
hopelessly trapped
in isolating darkness, I began
searching for God,
and he came to me
in prayer.

He whispers to me...
"Do not be afraid; take my hand"...

Lost with no way to turn,
I sought refuge in the Lord.
He led me
out of the darkness
and bathed me
with his resplendent light.

He took my despair
and gave me hope.
After regaining
my spiritual balance;
my faith in him,
restored and stronger than ever...

Never again will it waver.
Now I believe there's a power
greater than myself.
After God's gift
of salvation, I'll never
stray from him...

again.

A shower of romance

A Shower Of Romance

A misty breeze gusted through the west
Swirling towards the east
Like a woman twirling in a new dress
Light rain glistened like diamonds to say the least
People hurried to make it to shelter
To flee wrath of the impending weather
Like magic straight outta a fairytale
Fate had them wrapped up in a envelope
Together they planned to elope
Their love stronger than ever
There was no stopping them no matter the weather
It was indeed a shower of romance
In Paris, the city of love, capital of France.

Model the Future

Press through trails though burdens weigh,
Your tenacity and strength, they shall not sway,
Remember this secret, shout for sure,
The joy of the Lord, your strength, endure.

In the midst of shifting and shaking ground,
You have an Advocate who knows no bound,
Protect the reserves, seek those hidden wells,
For changing of decks, open closed doors.

Run with the horse, fast and bright,
Fight the lions with fearless might,
Regain what is lost, restore the walls,
Establish the future where hope abides.

A new song stirs, deep within our core,
Release the melody, and let it soar,
For you are stronger than ever before,
Model the future, leave a legacy forever!

The Black Quiet

You can not see them
Not prove they are there
Shadows that creep, shadows that stare
You sink into your bed
Cover on your head
Beginning to sweat
something moved across the floor
Then you hear it
The black quiet at your door
Stronger than ever
It’s been many days
It knows who you are
There’s no escape
You tell yourself
Your not afraid
Your soul needs you to be brave
But beyond your witty charm
The black quiet touches your arm
Mortified, your blood runs cold
Your heart, it stops
Your shoulders sink, your body slumps
You try to scream but no sound comes
And in the window…
I am watching you!

Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining

Some days are soft and pretty, like pale lilac
Others - cold as ice and dark like charcoal black

While some days preserve your peace of mind
Melancholy takes over some, leaving you in a bind

Today, your high spirits might be serving the perfect afterglow
Fears, rage, and uncertainties might hold your soul hostage tomorrow

One day, you could be imagining yourself on the final stepping stone to success
Achieving that dream might feel like boiling the ocean on the next

But that's life - a carousel of perspectives and sentiments
Some training the novices, some draining even the toughest presidents

Here's where you remind yourself of how you made it this far;
About how many bad days you fought through without a scar
And how you didn't ever surrender - being an unsung superstar

So, collect these triumphs to build yourself stronger than ever before
And remember - you must live the bad days to love the good ones even more

For Unity Is the Key

In unity we find our strength,
Together we can go to great length,
Bound by a common goal,
We can overcome any toll.

For when we stand together,
We are stronger than ever,
No challenge is too great,
As we stand hand in hand, mate.

Our differences become our strength,
As we come together at great length,
For when we embrace diversity,
We create a bond of unity.

With unity we can build,
A world that's just and filled,
With love, peace and harmony,
For all humanity.

Let us embrace each other,
And lift one another,
For in unity we find our might,
And together we can reach new heights.

So let us join our hands,
And take a stand,
For unity is the key,
To a world that's free.

Premium Member A Novel Generation

Betrayed and backstabbed
By our African brothers.
Insulted, humiliated and robbed
By Our European brothers.
We are the descendants
Of defeated Kings and Queens.
We are the infants
Of two distressed twins.
Sold like cattles,
Winners of many battles:
We are the new generation,
We are the fine products
Of a new creation.
We walk proud like ducks
Of the newly man-made lakes,
We helped and we chased away the fakes:
We are the dreams of our forefathers.
We are, at last, speaking in unison,
Like cousins, like brothers and sisters;
Every day, we are forging new union.
We are stronger than ever,
We are smarter than the dead fish of the river:
We are the new generation.
We are building new bridges,
The world is our nation.
We are building new stages,
While fighting and defeating the old aristocracy.
This is indeed our century:
We are the novel generation.

Fading Flower

Slowly dying, I'm losing the one hope I had in you
My spirit follows the path and never breaks
I keep shooting at the ceiling glass
Hoping that someday a pattern might emerge
The world is becoming more dangerous and hostile
And my senses are stronger than ever always on the run
Is peace given or should we make our own?
I will not allow the destruction of my people
The world shall burn and regurgitate on itself before I give up
Warriors are born and never made.
