A Tiny Overlooked Detail

Why don’t we act decisively when we go to war
Why don’t we crush the enemy
The enemy is trying to crush us
What on earth are we waiting for…

… Pauses, short ceasefires, humanitarian aid
all allow the enemy to regroup
and come back stronger than ever
What on earth are we waiting for…

                  There’s a detail we’ve overlooked here.
                        a little tiny detail
Perhaps one ceasefire can lead to another
And another, and even a cessation of hostilities, who knows

And perhaps, just perhaps, we can save dozens, hundreds
                         ~ even thousands of lives

I share your thoughts....war doesn't work in the long run...and who knows, peace could prevail...even though I have a deep distruct for the Iranian leadership.

I hate war. So many lives lost and it’s not the elderly in the trenches. But the young who risk it all.

would that these decisions were made by those in the trenches not by those on the benches

Back in the old days it was one big battle, done and dusted, winner takes all. Too much faffing about these days. Tom
