summer shining sun
     
               strolling down scorching street
               

Strolling with my Love

 Taking a stroll through the undergrowth
Back to where you and me pledged our troth
To love each other, come rain or snow
In the forest that we both love so.

It's glorious this time of the year
When the wild flowers start to appear 
And trees are proudly sprouting fresh leaves

Oh! how gracefully the trees, flaunting splendor lilt

Amber breeze is blushing rosy glimmer of eventide
And robins are excavating pecking on decaying lawn
Where ducks are ambling, ogling seductive bond

Strolling Through the Past

It’s now a bird sanctuary,
and has been for some decades now,
the trail wanders through the forest,
past the rock walls of an old house.

The trail itself was once a road,
I can tell by the two rock walls,
run parallel for a mile,
but there were no cars here at all.
