Smoothest Poems

Premium MemberAlways Be We

On the days at home we watched TV and didn't play outside

On the days my hugs were not enough, with you I sat and cried.

On the days when giving up too easily or there was more I could have tried

On the days we did not read together, books were pushed and put aside.

I'm sorry it has not been the smoothest, and sometimes a bumpy ride.

But one thing you can be certain of... I'll never leave your side

For the whole entire journey, having mummy as your guide

Drama at Sea

The howling wind was still and lightning flashed no more;
the little ship was sailing on the smoothest sea,
but then a giant tentacle appeared on deck,
and as they hacked it off, a second arm...then three...
and in those icy waters there's nowhere to flee!

Allow me to introduce myself,
friends tend to call me Saturn’s MelRose;
Once you read me? I stay off the shelf;

I run around in a sweet saucer
all decked out in salmon pink and green;
It runs on the smoothest ice water;

Vast emerald and rose trails take wing,
my reputation always proceeds;
Ship arrival’s got music blasting;

Spicy taste like Taco Temptations,
I’ll share mouthwatering bliss with you;
A vibe of flavorful explosions;

Life’s a tour bus for me everyday,
spinning parties everywhere I go;
You’ll feel it as soon as I press play;

Floating in on a sick rhythmic beat,
I flutter into invisible;
Flick that switch on, hit it off, repeat;

We’ll do this all night if you want to,
those who built me forgot a slow move;
It is all or nothing just for you;

Flooding wood with cosmic ascension
glitter bombs and sick lines hit the floor;
All your senses give way to passion;

My life’s devoted to a mirror
showing you what you’re capable of;
By track’s end you’ll be a believer;

High fever demands that you return;
On my slick turntables the motto
is ‘For all you girls filled with fire? Burn.’

Premium MemberKind of Blue

What is that feelin'
Creepin' 'bout my heart,
I think its kind of blue
Breakin' me apart

Fallin' into pieces
How many a heart has,
Once throbbed with neon
And all that jazz

I'm feelin' kind of blue
Not deep enough to cry,
A solemn kind of blue
Don't need to wonder why

Revolving slowly into
This somber attitude,
Azure leanin' on green
A pale, indigo mood

Muffled sounds carry
The smoothest baritone,
Over a muted trumpet
And a sad, sad saxophone

It's nothin' strange to me
Been right here before,
... Turn up the music
Slowly, close the door.

Woe To Time That Ravages This Face

I notice an unhappy face that's changing,
wrinkles and dark spots start appearing;
The beauty of youth was a passionate fruit,
until it gets ripe and loses firmness and glow!
I had the smoothest skin exposed to sunlight,
a deep tan looks great when mood is mellow!

Woe To Time That Ravages This Face

I've noticed an aging look that's changing,
wrinkles and dark spots start appearing;
the beauty of youth is a passionate fruit...
until it gets ripe and loses firmness and glow!
I had the smoothest skin exposed to scorching sunlight,
a deep tan looked great when my mood was so mellow!

Woe to time that ravages this face with haste,
more sunny days and sweetness I must taste;
time, be gentle with me as a tiger is tender with her cub!
Mankind is Nature's enemy that burns every shrub,
and leaves no home for the green shivering sterling
left without shelter: he refuses to sing his sweet song!

Man and His Car: a Short Story

There was a man whom fortune really blessed;
All things were brought to him at his behest.
Of cars he had not one but a whole fleet,
A spectacle when they were on the street.

This rich man’s cars were source of his great pride;
When he drove by, men looked at him green-eyed.
He had the fastest, smoothest, newest wheels--
They truly were the king of all mobiles.

There was another man who lived in town,
Who got the worst of fickle fortune’s frown.
He worked so hard to stay in this life’s game,
And dreamed to have just one car to his name.

As the rich man’s car collection increased;
The other poor man’s troubles never ceased;
So he grew old and dreamed when day was done
Of a Cadillac but he never had one.

The rich man died later as all men do--
And brought to the grave in a hearse not new:
It had been used so many times before
To bear the bodies, whether rich or poor.

Alas, the poor man also did expire!
Freed at last from too long in the mire.
His body was borne by a hearse that’s black--
The town’s newest elegant Cadillac.

A Life Preserver In the Most Beautiful Form

on a cruise with my ex and her new man
i am here for our two kids and their smiles
i find a quiet place and listen to garnet mimms
my common sense punches me in the face
my stupidity laughs in my face
i look at the blue water and say a quiet prayer
that is when i open my eyes to the smoothest buttercream legs
i look up slowly and a smile that woke up the sunshine refreshes my self esteem
i forget about the stresses of my unwise choice and begin a conversation
guided by God, we inspire the moon to rise with a smile
the next day is departure day, but the beginning of a New Arrival Revival
instead of the ship sinking, it makes it safely to shore

Drop the Ruse Continue Abuse

Evidently beyond your control
they must be less
for you to be more

A drive beyond
Your governess
to belittle,discard,abhor

declaring self hero or victim
Simultaneously
Acting so mean

Needing to reduce
All others to
the smoothest satiny sheen

Worn by your abrasive ways
Chip,chip,
Chipping away

As you bolster and fluff
Bluster enough
to keep inner critics at bay

Pathetically parading your lack
for any
and all to see

News flash!
Never will the likes of you
decimate the likes of me

Get on with it
without pretense,with relish
As the hot dog with chips

P.s. Don't forget
Send us postcards
From your endless ego trips

In closing may I offer
 this final savory bit
In life those doing the smelling also as well dealt it

Truth Won't Lie

To what avail are scriptures etched on stones ~
If it’s true, we must feel it in our bones”
       (by Unseeking Seeker)

Truth won’t lie when the conscience call
Voice drills from skin to bone
Hear the solemn hymn of His soul
From its smoothest to sweetest tone

Face bravely for God’s fair
Who forgives lies in flare
We know His love and care

Chin up high
Truth won’t lie

Of All

Of all the things I’ve seen
From the smallest ants
To the tallest mountains
Seeing You,
Has made me dream

Of all the things I’ve heard
From the cry of a newborn
To the wisdom of a teacher
Hearing You,
Has made me listen

Of all the things I’ve felt
From the coarsest stone
To the smoothest wood
Feeling You,
Has made me know

Of all the things I’ve known
From the comfort of home
To the words taught in books
Knowing You,
Has made me fall in love

And of all the things I’ve ever loved
From my mother and father
To the people I call my friends
Loving You,
In this way that I do
Has done much for me
Because You have set me free.

Like time
Efficency has slipped away secretly
From our bodies
Causing unpredicted destruction
Even the slightest bone
And the smoothest joint
Without sympathy
The joint jelly dries up like a leaf
The strong bone becomes brittle like a twig
Gain in time loss in health
Aging is unquestionable
Like the scientific laws
And so
Make use of them
Before  it's  too late

My Enigma

Dark, brooding, mysterious man
Dashingly handsome, yet quiet and still
Who knows what he's thinking
What makes him tick
The mystery of a man
My enigma

Silken hair draping over captivating eyes
Broad shoulders, strong yet inviting
The smoulder of his subtle smile
Oh how my heart skips a beat
The mystery of a man
My enigma

His sensuous voice, with a subtle rasp
Escapes through his beckoning lips
Cradled by his chiseled jaw
My breath loses its rhythm
The mystery of a man
My enigma

The smoothest touch from his masculine hands
So much emotion from the slightest caress
Intrigued by his faint, musky cologne
My senses are overwhelmed
The mystery of a man
My enigma

With once last glance, he dashes into the night
But my memory of him will live on forever
I long to see him once again
For the mystery continues on
The mystery of a man
My enigma

Premium MemberMaking Memories

As lovers tethered to the sandy shore
Who feel the soft motion of smoothest waves
As love's warmest lips meet for love and more
In wondrous desires this our moment craves
Beneath the changing sky, our love will find
A sensual realm of dreams we will view
In a world of tenderness so aligned
To wet the quiet eyes from love so true
We'll hold the gentle hand to bond as one
And watch our footprints vanish in the sand
From the night removing red from the sun
Then fill the sky with a stary concert grand
To feel the waves upon love's warmest skin
To save this moment, watch the dawn begin

Still

Stop, Think, Imagine, Listen, Learn
*************
Stop to position yourself not to move - Be Still
Think of the thoughts envisioned by only your will
Imagine those dreams that come from deep within
Listen to the silent words that God begins to send
Learn spiritual knowledge that you can actually feel
Those lessons to learn when you are being still
Then your outer self will reach the level of calm
As found in the bible verse 46:10-11 of Psalm
Still waters do always run deep is the scheme
The smoothest surface is from the deepest stream
So take some moments of time to practice this skill
Smooth out your outer shell by being perfectly STILL
