Premium Member- A Kiss In The Dark -

    Dusk,
           depicted two silhouettes
Silence under the glow of a street lamp
Blushing and smiling a little nervously
    A seemingly random touch,
                   breathless excitement

    Passionate lips,
                    soft and slow
    Fireworks display from the rainbow
The miracle was there for them alone
    This kiss left both
                    quite weightless on pink clouds

Never will she stop

beetroot chops

My daughter's Tenth time

swinging across

Children behind waiting,

their arms crossed in a strop

I call out and say,

Being fair you are not

Then reaching quickly

she climbed to the top

Pointing her finger toward

the near ice cream shop

I nod in agreement

Both are smiling a lot

My daughter runs over

excited and hot

adverts

Facebook advert

I saw an advert
 for teeth
a couple had winning smiles
I thought they must be American
thinking of Joe Biden's
dentures, make him look like
an elderly shark
Cesar Milan, the dog man
is a showman but appears
to be good at taming dogs
his gnashers are impressive
In my vanity and some of my teeth
had left in protest
I went to a dentist, asked for
new teeth so I could display
a happy countenance
my god, the price to afford the price
one has to be a dog person
or a presidential candidate
A man who is not a dentist but makes
falls teeth for dentists
offered to make teeth I could put
on top of my old teeth
thinking this was a bit of a mouthful
I turned him down
since I'm not a person who spends
time smiling a lot
I decided to stick with my old teeth

It's Easier To Say It By Mouth

It's easier to say it by mouth than doing it
and whenever I bump into you,
I get a strong feeling to hold you;
oh, if that ever happens: I'll be smiling a lot!

I don't quite understand what's bothers me,
I'm missing the strength more than courage;
what makes me happy is having you close to me!
grant you all desires and worship your sweet image!

We don't insist on what can't work out,
it's easier to say it by mouth than doing it;
does it sound simple to some, but not to us?
we need to be wise and not expect surprises!

Laugh with me, dream with me until fate
is kind enough to make us smile and breathe,
to cherish life or lay down a round wreathe;
what is hard to accept always comes late!

If we are too choosy, we may lose love and all,
living in the moment is a blow to dreams;
nobody seeks a dim light unless it gleams:
stand by me, believe in me and you won't fall!

Premium MemberTreat Yourself Kindly

Make each day even better than the one before
Promise yourself a dinner at your favourite restaurant
Give yourself a gift of that sweater you had your eye on
Little things that help make life exciting and interesting
It's not selfish to treat yourself every once in a while
It makes for a happier existence
You'll find yourself humming happy tunes and smiling a lot
So what if people around you think you've lost it!
Keep 'em guessing and even add to the rumours
By occasionally doing outrageous things
Like sit-ups in the middle of the local mall
And when security escorts you out to your car
Keep singing those happy tunes and waving at everyone
This advice is likely not good for all!

Mist and Moon

MIST AND MOON

The other night
She woke up with a start
As she felt something soft
Touch her sleeping heart.
The dark room was awash
In a milk-white diffusion.
She wasted no time---
The door opened and shut,
And her grey robe wrapped around
She gingerly stepped out
To stare at the sombre moon.
Her breathing brought a whiff
Of the grass in the fields nearby,
And the trees in the woods a little more distant...
It was the tangy smell of the wintry mist
Quietly descending, or was it rising from the soil?
Details of the land smudged,
The mist was painting a picture in sepia,
With the halo around the indulgent moon
Smiling a quiet, mystic smile!
The mist and the moon, and
An unseen owl's occasional melancholy hoot...
Enchantment held her in an enchanted thrall...

                   THE END

Once Amidst Sepulchral Scene

Death played sombre strains
Funereal hush holding reins,
Flames heralding gains,

Death felt triumphant,
Life, smiling a smile pregnant,
Said, death can just dent,

Watch me come again—
Phoenix-like from ruins and pain,
New lease as I gain.

Dead Giveaway

He threaded a hand through her long blonde hair

She shifted from one foot to stand entranced

Their eyes locked together, a constant stare

Grey/green eyes, his sensuous lips enticed

Everything changed within, soul sacrificed

As she pressed both hands to her cheeks

Could such a love develop within weeks

Her heart and mind in a constant turmoil

Smiling, a knowing louche grinning he leaks

Burst bubble, releasing doubt to uncoil

Premium MemberSaved By You

I can see you now
you were there when I cried out
I was very lost

I remember when
your hand reached out to save me
you opened a door

a voice from inside
this voice telling me, be calm
do not worry child

being filled with peace
there was no doubt you were there
smiling a laugh

when I lose my way
you told me to follow you
and I followed you

somehow you want me
I do not know why really
far from perfect here

I made many mistakes
you died on the cross for me
giving me a chance

Jesus, I believe
I want to be by your side
hearing your voice speak

you gave me my life
by loving me to save me
you forgave my sins

on my knees, I pray
that everyone who needs you
find their way to you

Premium MemberLittle Black Pearl

Little black pearl
formed from city grit
pressurized by violence
layers of scars-a survivor.
There were no birds or trees
only concrete eggs in broken nests
harsh decades under moonlit gunplay
never time for a young mind to rest,,,
so hard escaping those dark ugly caves.

Finally, you've arrived, rolling into the light
not a mirage but something of a miracle
at the very top of your class.
Tassel merrily dancing to the left of a black pearl face.
Smiling a shade beyond bright
for the moment color is insignificant.

There's still much work to be done
many more hurdles-mostly unseen
but nothing that you can't overcome
while wearing the bright feathers of the dream-

Hey Days

Hey Days!
You keep moving on
Delays ,
aren’t good for none.
I have heard ,
moving on helps
for something better to come.

What's this Pain?
if denied to be felt
Heartbreak;
Ought to recover itself.

Walk around,
Remembering
the Stories not to tell,
Watch people
Carry it soo well.

Not crying,
I can Believe.
They seem
Smiling a little harder now.

The pain well Hid,
Silence feels bitter ,
Every person
acts out like they have
met something better.

Consider the Stories,
a little Rational,
I hear`I am fine`
in Every Solitary person.
Considerate,
of Every reaction.
I can see their Eyes
Carrying Past in Affection.

What's this Pain?
It cant be denied Access
Flashbacks, each time
Someone tells to Recover Itself.

The past Dwells,
We are a Visitor too often.
The End is Played,
as long as Forever.

So Days!
You keep Moving on
Delays ,
aren’t good for none.
But I have heard
Moving lips lie,
for the times they still Cry.

The Story Continues,
as their survival to Life.
And what's Better ,
that's something
Nobody could ever Decide.

She Lay Beside the Lake

she lay beside the lake
framed with blue eyes and golden hair
smiling a clear invitation
"come to me, let us share"
and it was long before she died

Whats You Thinkin Baby B

I have come to the end of my tether today and although you think I’m adorable
Enough is enough put your camera away for what you are doing is deplorable

You promised to take only three or four pics that you want for a memory book
Enough is enough no more coercing, or a black eye you’ll get from my left hook

Hear what I say just look into my eyes; I could be a heavyweight champ
Move in too close you will get a surprise, losing my fuse I’ll kick and I’ll stamp

Inside I'm smiling, a sweet little lad, but if I’m provoked what else can I do
Must nurture a smile without further ado; this look could cause fights to ensue

Peaceful at last no cameras in view, just you and me cuddling like we always do
Cooing and smiling, nothing to fear; it’s all on my face Mum I’d never hurt you

Premium MemberAcceptance Contains No Regret

Its taken me a long time to finally admit
that you aren't coming back to me
I knew from the start
you were a quick fix

I struggled with my loneliness forever so it seems
but I have to admit, it got easier each day
The empty mug sits in the sink ,no longer yours
yes, I wiped it clean and put it back in its place

Do you think you could forgive me
for smiling a little at the end of the day?
I had to finally accept,
and no... I have no regret.
