'Twas for a freshman dance called Turnabout,
Her invitation was such a surprise;
She was tall and fair, exuding social grace,
A bashful jock was I, so out-of-place.
Her brother drove us, a gallant gesture,
I actually sat down next to him!
Left her fuming alone in the back seat,
Fighting off tears, smiling a smile so grim.
The moon shone bright, the stars brightly twinkling,
Heaven-sent alluring constellations;
Comets and meteors painted the sky,
Midst planets with dazzling rotations.
Whilst down on Earth, a fair maiden's distress
Let disappointment her fair cheek caress.
Make each day better than the one before
Promise yourself a dinner at your favourite restaurant
Give yourself a gift of that sweater you had your eye on
Little things that help make life exciting and interesting
It's not selfish to treat yourself every once in a while
It makes for a happier existence
You'll find yourself humming happy tunes and smiling a lot
So what if people around you think you've lost it!
Keep 'em guessing and even add to the rumours
By occasionally doing outrageous things
Like sit-ups in the middle of the local mall
And when security escorts you out to your car
You keep singing those happy tunes and waving at everyone
This advice is likely not good for everyone!

Hey Days!
You keep moving on
Delays ,
aren’t good for none.
I have heard ,
moving on helps
for something better to come.
What's this Pain?
if denied to be felt
Heartbreak;
Ought to recover itself.
Walk around,
Remembering
the Stories not to tell,
Watch people
Carry it soo well.
Not crying,
I can Believe.
They seem
Smiling a little harder now.
The pain well Hid,
Silence feels bitter ,
Every person
acts out like they have
met something better.
Consider the Stories,
a little Rational,
I hear`I am fine`
in Every Solitary person.
Considerate,
of Every reaction.
I can see their Eyes
Carrying Past in Affection.
What's this Pain?
It cant be denied Access
Flashbacks, each time
Someone tells to Recover Itself.
The past Dwells,
We are a Visitor too often.
The End is Played,
as long as Forever.
So Days!
You keep Moving on
Delays ,
aren’t good for none.
But I have heard
Moving lips lie,
for the times they still Cry.
The Story Continues,
as their survival to Life.
And what's Better ,
that's something
Nobody could ever Decide.
Your words has made love to me under a spell
I feel just so alive inside your love sweetheart
flying echoes within beautiful songbirds singing in the valley
Magic whispers you're a dream stirring silver waves silently
enchanting warmly upon a November breeze
Oh baby over and over honey in the mind golden turns
crystal drops splashes of happiness
Sweetest child of eternal beauty shining brightly
on one treasure sparkling jeweled gem everlasting memory complete
Looking across the mountains searching destiny I call your name
haunting wolf howls alighting our souls unite as one body
Our hearts marry together sparking ignites purity
Then looking out towards the ocean hills crumbling
they begin unfolding out this vision towards the sea
I fall crashing into your space thousands of miles away
in this nutshell smiling a Renoir dream classic
your an attractive intelligent lady kiss me quick
Who is now holding high position of royalty inside four chambers
A picture hangs sweet kissing a diamond among'st maidens
desiring hot one rose blushing red each petal crowning
emotions of passion pure in white forever burning flames
blue inside touching you softly in a feathered touch
In gentle soft warm flickers each a beat
gently in the wildest dreams softly sings our song
Take my heart and join it with your's darling
walk with me upon golden sands
dancing with joy finding such a queen
I sweetly surrender to you this soul
my pact true our lovers path
forever and always holding hands
our destiny divine and beautiful sings
this is something I spent quite some time alone writing just finished it today
Facebook advert
I saw an advert
for teeth
a couple had winning smiles
I thought they must be American
thinking of Joe Biden's
dentures, make him look like
an elderly shark
Cesar Milan, the dog man
is a showman but appears
to be good at taming dogs
his gnashers are impressive
In my vanity and some of my teeth
had left in protest
I went to a dentist, asked for
new teeth so I could display
a happy countenance
my god, the price to afford the price
one has to be a dog person
or a presidential candidate
A man who is not a dentist but makes
falls teeth for dentists
offered to make teeth I could put
on top of my old teeth
thinking this was a bit of a mouthful
I turned him down
since I'm not a person who spends
time smiling a lot
I decided to stick with my old teeth
The joy of birth, the growing up,
leads us to adore our lovely babies.
But not, alas, without the toils of life.
Because we experience a lack of sleep,
contend with baby vomit,
or idiotically putting on his boxer shorts
completely the wrong way around.
Yet all is part of being loving
to a newborn child. Sometimes
I get the weird, unworldly feeling
that I'm the worst grandpa of all.
Perhaps it's just that I'm getting old.
Try lifting the chubby scamp a little while
and oh my poor back simply aches.
And if he cries I must find out
what ails the urchin, my dearest pet.
A dirty nappy? Someone take care,
mother or granny, it's their job I'm afraid.
But if it's a bottle of milk he wants,
or nibbling a few small pieces of cereal,
then I am game. Bring on the glorious food.
And when he sleeps, I'm just in heaven,
contemplating the profound miracle of life.
For though he's not directly mine,
he's the continuation of my genetic line.
And so I worry if he coughs or wheezes,
or falls whilst crawling, adding to his bruises.
Awake he's smiling, a gurgling bundle of joy
that makes me proud, he's Nicholas my boy.
NB Nicholas, my grandson, is now 18 years old, studying dentistry at University (first in class) and has a driver's licence too.
It's easier to say it by mouth than doing it
and whenever I bump into you,
I get a strong feeling to hold you;
oh, if that ever happens: I'll be smiling a lot!
I don't quite understand what's bothers me,
I'm missing the strength more than courage;
what makes me happy is having you close to me!
grant you all desires and worship your sweet image!
We don't insist on what can't work out,
it's easier to say it by mouth than doing it;
does it sound simple to some, but not to us?
we need to be wise and not expect surprises!
Laugh with me, dream with me until fate
is kind enough to make us smile and breathe,
to cherish life or lay down a round wreathe;
what is hard to accept always comes late!
If we are too choosy, we may lose love and all,
living in the moment is a blow to dreams;
nobody seeks a dim light unless it gleams:
stand by me, believe in me and you won't fall!
Baby whispering
echoes a treasure softly
sweet words lingering
Inside silently warms one
single heart fully smitten
sounds of waves deeply crashing
Landing on sands warm golden
deep beautiful paradise
your beauty alone babe sweet
Sunshine looking upon love
your face honey a soul shines
launches within a thousand dreams
A swan of such regal grace warm
rests her pure beautiful heart true
floating inside clouds sparkling magic
with a jeweled gem silver lining
you 're baby cloud nine sailing blue

Hey diddle diddle
We poets that fiddle
With poems that jump over the moon.
Sometimes we blunder
and often will wonder
am I just a poet buffoon?
Then out of the blue
a comment ensues
that gives us a new point of view
Dan Kearley comes here
with a comment to cheer
His applause like the thundering air!
We can discard our fear
that we are friendless or *****
and soon we are smiling a tune!
His name is Dan Kearley
You must know him, oh, surely?
He writes with a flair of his own!
His poems are quite awesome
He comes from Wisconsin
with friendship that lands everywhere!
No.......this is no joke!
He cheers all the folks
Who stay up by the light of the moon
Even little dogs laugh
While the rest of us grasp
He's a friend of the Soup, near and dear!

He finds himself smiling a lot these days
like when another day is over…as the sunlight begins to fade…
and he thinks about the day…and all the memories they’ve made.
Or when they take a morning walk along the shore…
and he thinks of all the memories in life they’ve made before.
But as wonderful as old memories are…now…in moments he’s awake
what makes him smile even more…are the memories they’ve yet to make.
Those moments that await them just around the bend…
the pages of their book…the chapters…waiting to be penned.
Yes, in a life that’s filled with poetry…
what brings a smile to his face at night…
before sleep closes his eyes…
are the poems they’ve yet to write.
