Summer sighs softly, pausing to watch the golden days slipping away

Summer sighs softly, pausing to watch the golden days slipping away,
When the sun trickles through the gently trembling birch leaves,
Whispering of growth and ripening, the enchantress transforms the fields,
Into gold woven from corn, swaying in the rhythms of bountiful harvests.
White clouds gather, like storms waiting to unleash their song,
She gathers new bluebirds in her warm

Slipping away

My head crashes to the desk.
Flashbacks—oh, so cruel.
A hammering heart, a desperate soul,
I reach to touch you…
But you vanish.
I run to you, but you’re always faster,
Slipping away again.
“Come back,” I scream.
He says,
“No, I don’t love you… I never really did.”
Silence. I stop running.
“No… no.”
Sobs break free.
My chest feels hollow—
Not from grief,
But from the absence of

Echoes of Autumn

Fading gentle touch,
Echoes drift like autumn leaves—
Sweetness slips away.

Slipping between Shadows

  	       Gliding into the forest of her mind
                 woodland sprites take her hand

               Guide her effortlessly 

Slipping through my hand

A million  precious memories 
Each A grain of sand
I try, I fight, I hold on tight
But it's slipping through my hand

 For every laugh and smile 
And every shout or tear
I try, I fight, I hold on tight 
But I cannot hold it here

A flawed yet perfect jigsaw 
Of nights that turn to day

Slipping slowly

I don’t know when I first felt my childhood slipping slowly
It was somewhere in the dark
Maybe on a slushy snowy night that made me cry
I’m tired of saying goodbye
     -

It might have been some other day
When my paintings taunted me alone
Or when I first realized I’d one day be all

And even if I could be just a name on your lips, slipping out with a warm smile

I would know that I did enough to protect your heart, even in the silence that separates us,
I don’t know where you go, in the days that flow like rivers of time towards the unknown,
Nights without stories, devoid

Time Slipping By

Lately time has been eluding me, going by so fast.
It makes me afraid what we have attained again won't last.
But I know most of how we had suffered is now all in the past.

Slipping

Slipping slowly into the void
No one's fault

The consequence of years spent in silence
The distance of unspoken secrets
You know me...don't you...know me?

Rain pelts the windows
The roof
My eyes

Falling into indifference 
Headlong without a net

The reality of a fire growing cold
The fleeting moments of glowing embers
You love me...don't you...love me?

The dark creeping across the grass
The windows
My heart

A world slipping into darkness

The reptilian brain has fear of learning the truth 
a burst of understanding backs the value overshadowed 
how certain souls are wired to process this remedy 
in order to find what you're searching for 
Does your oasis have a proper answer to a question
I cried because no longer do I know 
tomorrow I have to

Slipping

Slipping
I feel it everyday
 pats of me slipping away.
For a moment in passing
 all of me once seemed immortal and everlasting
but now, fading like storm threatened gray clouds
 part of my mind slows thru the oppressive crowds.
I dare not speak
 keeping my secret hidden and discrete
 while cautiously I direct my feet.

we cannot deny our heritage
some may address an illness 
whilst considering restraints
those words are not theirs
It must be your heart's iron.

everyone aspires and fails

When we let life take us on this wild ride 
we let it slip away 
we take things for granted 
seen and unseen 
and miss out on so much
