Premium Member The Matter of Trust

" . . . betrayal begins with trust." Quote_Phish

If you had never trusted him to be
THE one and had not proffered him your heart~~
Accept it, love. Please treat it tenderly~~
it could not have been wholly ripped apart.

If you had never trusted anyone
with secrets that you felt the need to share,
there’d be no repercussions that would stun,
embarrassment, or deepest thoughts laid bare.

But if you trusted no one, could your life
be seen as full and healthy? Those who feel
the path that sidesteps every chance of strife
is best will forfeit much of life’s appeal.

Trust often is the catalyst for pain,
but lack of trust can surely be life’s bane.

"What is truth?"

When you sidestep Jesus,
You sidestep Truth.

When you sidestep Truth,
You mask corruption.

When you mask corruption,
Truth sidesteps you.

"Truth is a Person."

Premium Member We Are As He

We are as He

Do we feel not yet, God’s grace graze our head
He judges not if we are deserving
Let’s take His hand and be heavenward led
Whilst partaking of a large bliss serving

Empty radiant heart, poised in the void
Vaporised presence sidesteps ego urge
No longer thus by fears and desires toyed
Our heart’s rapturous, as bliss currents surge

With whom shall we compete, when all are one
Do we feel not yet, God’s breath in each form
All souls are love and light borne by the sun
Aliveness is propelled by bliss beats warm

One with the oneness, we too are as He
When eye’s single, we mirrorlessly see

Premium Member Captivate

We look outward, here upon earth
Ego anchored, devoid of mirth
Fleeting joy that’s mirrored by pain
Bound head to foot by desire’s chain
Caught in a web, our heart did weave
Time’s now that we cease to so grieve
Conscience showing us path correct
That love aligned, we stand erect

Before each act, let’s take a pause
Discern if lower mind the cause
Mindful eye, thus always aware
Adroitly sidesteps ego snare
In timeless time, heart becomes pure
Resolve firm, each test we endure
Our consciousness, witness presence
Aligned with God’s omnipresence

Attention posed in cessation
Tranquil calm, our meditation
Magnetic currents pervade form
Invaded by benign bliss storm
Captivated by a love mist
We surrender; do not resist
Ceasing to size, we vaporise
In as ordained, God realise

Premium Member I'm So Sorry

When excuses and lies confront the truth,
what does one say if I'm sorry won't do?
And though I own the mistakes of my youth,
I'm so sorry for what I put you through.

I listened to my ego, not my heart,
and convinced myself I was in the right.
And yet, my heart keeps questioning my part;
sometimes, shadows don't acknowledge the light.

I searched my soul to find the words to say
I'm sorry; please give me another chance.
For, if tomorrow sidesteps yesterday,
there is a good chance we could learn to dance.

There are no words to describe how I feel,
betraying the only person I love.
But if you imagine Hell as real,
you'll have some inkling of what I speak of.

There's no way for me to take back your pain,
and I cannot fault you for doubting me.
But, I swear, I'll never leave you again;
so either forgive me or cut me free.

Graciousness

Graciousness reaches out to smooth, to embrace, ruffled emotions
Looks beyond affronts – lifting mercy up on reconciling arms
True thoughtful courtesy caresses inflamed scars like a soothing lotion,

Graciousness reaches out to smooth, to embrace, ruffled emotions
Listens with a chivalrous heart – welcomes kindness compassion born
Sidesteps anger’s open pitfalls - sees past the commotion.

Graciousness reaches out to smooth, to embrace, ruffled emotions
Looks past affronts – lifting mercy up on reconciling arms.

Stopped Up

stopped up
knotted
but not afraid
look where I’ve landed
in this short
charade
sidesteps
widesteps
and
serenades
I’ve been
depending upon
promises
that were
never made
moving up
slowing down
tired of wearing
this heavy
crown
what’s that you’re
saying
is that a
question
or a
lifeless sound
limp
lost and
longing
for a way
to be seen
wondering if this
time around
has meant
much of
anything
wondering how I
got here
have forgotten
the road
lost the
boyancy
neath this
heavy load
wanting
what was never
wanted of me
giving
what was never
given to
me
the answer’s
round the
corner
but I couldn’t
see
street signs
were uprooted
by a future
that wouldn’t
be
replaced
by strokes
of paint by number
dreams
hewn in the
quarry
of monotone
reality.

Premium Member Galactic Dance

Galactic flashes pulse rainbow bold
bright neon waves flow into black holes.
Shooting stars ricochet through night skies
rings of Saturn cut loose and rise.

Drifting Sun sidesteps off center stage
Mercury blazes white hot, then fades.
Fat old Neptune looks bored and pouts
poor little Pluto wanders in and out.

Venus fusses, preoccupied with her looks
Mars tries too hard, Earth gets him off the hook.
Jupiter two steps, Uranus tries to prance
at the first ever annual Galaxy Dance.

Uncle's Chair

Those long days gone by
in wisps of Autumn fields
how rare that it was at
Uncle Paul's in October.
He kept the orchard smooth as horse skin,
the grass cleanly mowed.
And the sidesteps were trimmed and
neat, no weeds in his backyard grew.
Sitting within this hunk of splendor
was his cozy cottoned hammock,
a cradle that welcomed me
to lie under a mantle of clouds.
How he would hand out bread-sticks
that were crunchy as his laughter
watching the ivy drop on our shoulders,
then he would sleep in his patio chair
thinking he would never get old--
yet he murmured lightly of warm endings.

Courage

Courage: I am what I am
and that is a
 soul
emerging through physical forms
and reminding me of the
 whole...
My desires are not my job,
relationship or figure,
but the divine resonance of a light essence
 bigger.
Bigger than I had seen,
my omnipresence.
Bigger than a dream
I thought was in the distance.
All that I am is
 Now
and in this moment I am
brave-courage as I
 allow.
I allow this power
to move forth from within
because I am
what I have
always
been.
I meet my inner mind to complete the desire
of a still strong voice
and actions of the
 higher.
I roar with my Lion's throat
releasing doubts that made me mute.
Along the path to my soul
 resolute.
To the den of this lover,
there will be sidesteps that tempt me to
 uncover.
I will not journey from side to side.
I will remain in this present stride.
Walking forth with valor and vigor I arise,
 I arise.
