Notes About The Poem

The issue is not the degree of intelligence, but rather the willingness to accept God's choices and to take in God's truth (John 8:44-47; 14:6), which are beyond full comprehension anyway (Ps 119:96). Simple enough for a child.

Pilate's Puzzle

"What is truth?"

When you sidestep Jesus,
You sidestep Truth.

When you sidestep Truth,
You mask corruption.

When you mask corruption,
Truth sidesteps you.

"Truth is a Person."
