When excuses and lies confront the truth, what does one say if I'm sorry won't do? And though I own the mistakes of my youth, I'm so sorry for what I put you through. I listened to my ego, not my heart, and convinced myself I was in the right. And yet, my heart keeps questioning my part; sometimes, shadows don't acknowledge the light. I searched my soul to find the words to say I'm sorry; please give me another chance. For, if tomorrow sidesteps yesterday, there is a good chance we could learn to dance. There are no words to describe how I feel, betraying the only person I love. But if you imagine Hell as real, you'll have some inkling of what I speak of. There's no way for me to take back your pain, and I cannot fault you for doubting me. But, I swear, I'll never leave you again; so either forgive me or cut me free.

Aw what an appealing wonderfully poetic apology that ought to touch the hardest heart and melt it to forgiveness. The regrets are conveyed awesomely in great rhyming. Kudos! ........ - - - - - - - - - Plz do read and comment my newest poem too.
