Morning Song
Clouds in the morning
Slowing down the dawn
Shadowless gray light
A solo flute's song...

Hushed
if in darkness
i fall silent
shadowless
in the rise
of dawn
remember
my words
as they

SHADOWLESS

Alone this tree stood,
but strangely at no degree,
did cast a shadow

Indiana Shaw . . ....

Inbetween
Rain in November,
Shadowless autumn light,
A gate to inbetween;
Neither morning nor evening,
Neither memory nor dream....

Prismatic Clouds
this sun
is illusive
like mind
in thoughts
of you
and love

i stand naked
beneath unborn
memories
shadowless
alone

clouds above
aglow
in prismatic
tears
waiting
to give birth
to this emptiness
that swells
in my eyes...

steering blatant revelries, ghouls engaged to death
chomping down streetlight openings in bitter stone
bow walled yew tree drifters, steps of many feet in
shallow parade to pew, the kneel cushion's betrayal
- how the shadowless crave… and the headless sing...

Uglier This World, Felt Lost In
Though thicker, deeper lost in
No wood is gloomier
Than who's imaginnings within
Shape a myth, shadowless.
Oft through life's walk have been that child.
And with fear, their breeder
In day's midst, just so for friends' lack
Felt crowd round troll's likeness....

Citron yellow-

brings day and night
                 into view.
Two sides of a coin
      - a shadowless wheat field
      - a brush-stroked sky

This Day
this day
breathes heavy
like me

i feel its breath
wrapping me
in this chill

as i struggle
to catch my own
beneath its rise

i fall
shadowless
beneath this sky
that hides the sun

i only dream
of warm caresses
as this day
seems to last
forever

(Bus scribble)...

No Shadow
Iike I dimly recall now
  gratefully doing long ago,
once again I shall gladly bask

in the faint light, heaving halo
        of the sunken summer sun
          as thin shimmering shafts

            cut my lengthening shadow,
but there was a time I guess
                  I was happily shadowless !...

Sunlight
i want to bask in the sunlight,
let it soak in my hair, my cheeks, my lips,
turning my eyes a lighter shade of green.
the young warm wind whispering,
“stay here”,

but yet i sit here in the dark,
holding the curtains close with my fists.
forcing myself in this darkness,
because who am i to deserve the sun
when i am made shadowless....

~shadowless Soul~
Eyes of the soul
truly never see light
for within their shadows
it is always as night-

Darkness refracted as the wind
oneness of self
that life doth send-

Deception of my heart
rage upon the sea
from life's alter
one can never part
but freedom within me-

Mine eyes have seen the rain
so that I no longer
carry these shackles
of endless pain-...

Shadowless
Neither Punxsutawney Phil today
Nor Staten Island Chuck
Saw their shadows when emerging,
Which to many is good luck.

It predicts a shorter winter
And an entryway to spring,
Though there's skepticism surely
When a groundhog is the king.

Still, we hark to their predictions,
Causing many to rejoice.
Yet, the almanac, to me, would be
The harbinger of choice....

Whiskey
Whiskey at hand
Thoughtless...
Burdens to lend
Weightless...

There is no need to think
Needless for dreams
A simple taste is all that matters
Paled with the dark
Shadowless is art
The simplest of word bothers

And it burns
The hiding flame i earn
I am my mind consumed
Did i yearn?
Never i will learn
Beyond the fiery fume

An empty glass at hand
Weightless...
Whiskey to lend
Thoughtless......

Hunting In January
January

White of sky
like the surface
of a frozen lake
mirroring the snow
covered lands,
shadowless,
as orange weaves
in and out of trees
the color of dark
cutting into the thin
stillness of winter air.

Each footprint covered,
Again.

Next day, light
brims at the horizon
and splashes yellow gold
upon deep maroon,
brown seeped into the barren trails
of this vanilla earth....

Premium Member Ground Hogs and Roses
soft roses, held in bloodless fingers,
bleed a scented redness
caressed by lusts ache
masquerading as a gentle touch

each petal a charade
a “loves me – loves me not”
catharsis of collusion
covering its tracks

heart shaped
convenience store memories
withering dreams
melting on the dashboard

the groundhog smiles
its shadowless reflection
reveling in winters
unpredictability

Close up, secrets uncovering
I find myself hovering over
a modern, optical microscope
Out of focus (coarse adjustment)
Blurred image corrected,
revealing… clear-felled trees?
Sharper detail (fine adjustment)
Microscope mesmerizing as colors burst
Scale thickness less than 0.55 micron
Small rake angle and smoothness
implies low friction coefficient
Light permanence even, shadowless—
Finest quality from Istanbul
Wish I had a roomful...

The Dockhand
Fading in the crimsoning dusk,
like a predator stalking a prey,

            the gray fog stealthily creeps,
            crawls through dilapidated

warehouses in the dockyard
long abandoned by the years;

            a dockhand squints through
            cobwebs of a sooty window,

shadowless symbols of ships
that had come, gone long ago;

his drunken ears could fairly tell
which tolled as the funeral bell....

My Mum Said I Could Be Anything I Wanted She F King Lied
All the things i wanted to be
-a tree
-the glint off of a still mist covered pool
- Taz spinning round
-a spot on a ladybirds wing
-the crunch of autumn leaves
- a fire engine
- a guess
- a 100% wrong
-a swallow of fear
- first person on the sun
- artificially intelligent
-naturally stoopid
-atuocorrected
-disturb read(this is read as in red not as in reed)
-shattering glass
-infinitely ended

Aware
The future is here, awareness at last,
The mind shall not want from the long rotten past.

Your shadowless words, erased from my mind,
Your dirty old drawers are removed from my line.
your freely gave "Sorry", your strange anecdote
No longer hold steady and gripe at my throat.

Your silly old habits I'm burdened no more,
and your stupid old raincoat hangs not from the door.
Cause your outta my life and this only is true,
But now your not here ....think I really miss you....

Silent Light, Homeless Night
silent light
cast
shadowless
a homeless night
to lose your name
cold wind
across your dreams
lost between pawns
in the human game
blood falls
within your child’s tears
frozen moments
frozen years
empty eyes
shattered mirror tries
and a man
is left with only
questions
and maybe a scream
of what
does this all mean
no god walks across
these cold lonely gutters
under windowless
church walls
in where
a silent light does fall.

                        - jude...
