Silent Light, Homeless Night

silent light
cast
shadowless
a homeless night
to lose your name
cold wind
across your dreams
lost between pawns
in the human game
blood falls
within your child’s tears
frozen moments
frozen years
empty eyes
shattered mirror tries
and a man
is left with only
questions
and maybe a scream
of what
does this all mean
no god walks across
these cold lonely gutters
under windowless
church walls
in where
a silent light does fall.
