Sunlight

i want to bask in the sunlight, let it soak in my hair, my cheeks, my lips, turning my eyes a lighter shade of green. the young warm wind whispering, “stay here”, but yet i sit here in the dark, holding the curtains close with my fists. forcing myself in this darkness, because who am i to deserve the sun when i am made shadowless.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
