Magnification

Close up, secrets uncovering
I find myself hovering over
a modern, optical microscope
Out of focus (coarse adjustment)
Blurred image corrected,
revealing… clear-felled trees?
Sharper detail (fine adjustment)
Microscope mesmerizing as colors burst
Scale thickness less than 0.55 micron
Small rake angle and smoothness
implies low friction coefficient
Light permanence even, shadowless—
Finest quality from Istanbul
Wish I had a roomful
