Inbetween

Rain in November,
Shadowless autumn light,
A gate to inbetween;
Neither morning nor evening,
Neither memory nor dream.

The last two lines will stay with me for quite a while. They should be in a love song. BG

What an interesting piece for reflection. I really like the depth of the last two lines. I've already read this poem three times trying to take it in. Thank you for sharing your tanka with us and for your kind words regarding my poem. Karen

Wow, that's a great piece of writing Jim. Thanks for commenting on First Frost. I can see you like the short poetry forms and I'm off for a wander through the rest of your work. Love, Nigel
