the trees he grew older with
this summer
only the hiss of oxygen
reminds him of his life...

The Reddening Sun
the reddening sun
the black clouds gather and rain
reddening resumes

Unprecious Metal
The corrosion of Time
On your iron-wrought rhyme
Is the color or reddening must.

Though you write what you feel
It is iron or steel
Never gold, so it powders to dust....

Moonrise
I
At about the same space, eastwards
About eight hours after noon
- yes, it was night - miracle for me
I saw a sun rising ... Exactly as at dawn
A peeking, reddening of sky, creeping up
An amazing moonrise. In my 63rd year...

Premium Member Lake Or Pool
swimming in a lake
among bullfrogs and catfish
natural hot springs
in patches of cold water
a water snake shimmies past

swimming in pool
heavily chlorinated
reddening my eyes
I long for a cool pond
my own private lake in woods...

Romance of Tendrils
Bubbling up the tendrils of the inflamable cups

Filled to the brim with the dense brown odour

Of the maddeningly reddening valentine tulips

Surrender your sonnet to the unbending burglar

Sick Circle
We cut the country up in two,
Till family and friends I knew
We’re reddening the street
Beyond the barricade we threw
Up blocking their retreat.

And after we had over-run
The ancient order and begun
Another one as great,
I fathered fighting in a son,
Becoming what I hate....

Premium Member Great Outdoors
it's teeth
some jaw around
my head, biting
baiting an air beast
wintering wind
anaconda squeeze
of miserly monsters
that I'm dragging
as I walk and wings
whose tips stipple
cheeks, reddening
through slow-mo
torture but somehow
that winter stroll
hidden critters galore
is a glorious break
beckoning staleness
from stolid afternoons...

Hills In a Shambles
Shudders the hill sky
Blood shed in Darjeeling on
The larks have vanished

Tea gardens are sad
Vultures jab among green leaves
They chip snowy peace

Gunshots in blue wind
Woodcutter birds make no holes
Hill dress torn to shreds

Intrastate conflict
Native ego reddening
Snakes out in summer

With a Little Help From My Colors
I intend to be a best and pure citizen...
Colors that are friendly the flowers
 provide me with support :
From the blue wish bluish as the sky,
of the green wish greening of hope,
of the yellow wish to be golden with light,
from the white, to have the whiteness of peace.
from the red, reddening from so much fighting,
for all these qualities increase... !...

Cardinals past sun glazed window, scarlet joy,
Sapphire sparkling in cool waters, ships ahoy,
Crows on reddening skies, an evening convoy,
Bees on quest for gold honey, the real McCoy!

Jeweled hummingbird murmur, bloom to bloom,
And blur of fuchsia motions, one butterfly June,
Dragonflies in rubies, lost to the summer zoom,
As the sun arose to its zenith, at marigold noon....

Premium Member The Crossing Over
crossing over…

her chilled breath
caressed my cheeks

no reddening here
just a darker ebony hue

the color collage
of foliage

canvassed my eyes
falling rainbow tears

dripping to nourish
mother earth

matting
her joseph’s coat

reflected by scattered rays
peeping through shuttered skies

the bridge over the river of change
is indeed a delightful crossing...

Sunrise
in this valley of verdant color
quietly the dawn creeps in
I sit with coffee and just wait
for the sunrise that takes my breath away

I can see the reddening sky
doves are chirping all around
it is still early no one's up
as I pour my second cup

there is no better time of day
sitting here in this peaceful place
coffee and God's heaven above
sheer perfection that I love...

Stilled Flight
Silhouette framed by the outstretched window
The calling of unbarred freedom
Bare feet pressed against the cooling sill

Heels lift at the beckoning breeze
Chin skyward at the hope filled reddening heavens

A mind lost
A soul stolen

Delusory confidence laced appealment to soar
Compelled by a
Momentary
Greater authority

Fingertips let go

The leap of manic faith
The fall to pieces unrealized forever...

Monkey Madness
The monkey sits in a tree so high
Looking towards the reddening sky
A Mars effect is happening now
As the sun is setting the effect is wow

In light of the setting sun monkey calls
The other monkeys listen over waterfalls
Monkey madness is here today
All screeching in a wondrous play

Monkeys are swinging high above
Screeching out their undying love
The mating call of the primate group
All cling together in life’s sweet loop...

The sun is richly reddening, upon the lavender skies,
And shadows are deepening, readying night's disguise.
The dinner bell is ringing, calling for me to come in,
Like the end of a play, as tossing of flowers begins!

Then skies turn fire orange, in moments of huge change,
And stars go twinkling, on spatial avenues so strange.
Robins peep from knotholes, preparing for their rest,
And daffodil fields waft scents, by splendor possessed!...

To honeymoon where we'd dreamt From thoughts when we were young This place we're mystically sent It's where our dreams begun Being marital would fuse our fun Honeymooned, uncommon rise To wails through reddening clouds Left us in worthy surprise Amidst thoughts thinking loud It's then we'd seen the crowds Like a mist they soon descended Abhor, Neanderthal Confusion abounds we're intended To be their eventual thrall Is this the luring of us all

Premium Member There Was a Time
There was a time
in days of yore
perhaps far back
before a cave had
a door – when faith
was everything

Before we thought
we knew, and dreams
and prayers more mattered

There was a primitive time
before science recognized
when all was myth and
ethereal drift....

till our fantasies and politicking
produced a world of real fire breathing
dragons, reddening many skies
and lands

There was a time

when man yet had

plenty of time.......

The Fire Rages On
Together
Holding each other
Explore we will

Flames on the hill
Irresistibly orange
Reddening now and then
Equilibrium-threatening

Ravishing looks endowed with bounty
Alluring euphoria of catharsis
Genuinely gorgeous and graceful
Enticing compulsion
Seeking sumptuous orchestra

On is the fire
No hesitation, do come

The bee is a-buzzing~
a sweeter time of year –
for the hive is a-growing,
has to be dearly fed, as
the queen was off a-queening
had taken fond drones
to her sultry bed –

flowers, all-efficient,
the earth's blushing, reddening
ripening fertile ways –

Spring giving all colorful
blaze, warmly enticing
brightly dutifully tinting
adding uplifting expression
to
earth's
cold
drab
definitely
needing
inspiring
far too
dispassionate
winter
phase....
