The sun is richly reddening, upon the lavender skies, And shadows are deepening, readying night's disguise. The dinner bell is ringing, calling for me to come in, Like the end of a play, as tossing of flowers begins! Then skies turn fire orange, in moments of huge change, And stars go twinkling, on spatial avenues so strange. Robins peep from knotholes, preparing for their rest, And daffodil fields waft scents, by splendor possessed!
