After some interaction twixt the lady above..I gained some insight.? Does it
Dim anything i cherish and love.? She's
A real Aussie battler folks..With her head
Screwed on.' And Lord she seeks recompense.' Just while shes going along
Find out more about her, for she will reach
Out.' Do i still think she is ( adorable.?) Yes without a doubt, she is great with her
Vo-cab..Sharp as a tack..Iyah i still back

Was a little blunt.? But that springs from
What I owe, a great land, that made you and me..I know that you'll look in and read
Of my lines..Come back when you are ready gurl, i've got a dirt map and some
Plans designed.'
I am a fancy cat with patterns on my back.
My tail is pretty, I am sharp as a tack.
Better clear away, stand away, Mo and Mack.
Up close you might see my beauty and have a heart attack.
Mo and Mack were not amused in the least.
The conceitedness that comes off of this little beast!
Don’t forget we are your parents, they told fancy cat.
Better speak to us with respect. If not, there’s the mat.
Losing connections one by one …
my mind has drifted back
This moment caught within a cloud
the past sharp as a tack
I reminisce in present tense
new frames of reference gone
With that most recent going dim
but still—I hear that song
(Bryn Mawr Hospital: March, 2023)
My brain power has surely diminished
Since reaching this ripe old age
Used to be sharp as a tack back then
During my mind's early stages
Where'd they go, the years have just flown
Yesterday, I was young and eager
Today, my happy dreams have come true
But I'm still a knowledge seeker
Can never get enough of this great big world
With it's magic and secrets untold
Our brains can hold so much new knowledge
Experiencing the future unfold
Sadly we eventually must all say goodbye
To the world and our friends so vital
Okay that's enough of this negative whoohaa
It's contrary to my happiness title
RuPaul is one of the happiest people I know
Spreading joy and sunshine wherever she goes,
Quick-witted and sharp as a tack they say
She’s worth a few million dollars in residual pay,
[always dresses to the nines, be it female or male]
With hair and makeup to be envied by most
RuPaul has every reason, I think, to boast,
For her Drag Race alone she is known far and wide
I know, I know, there are some who will chide,
But RuPaul is an entertainer to be admired
By every person whose success she inspired,
And regular folks, too, can sound her praises
For every unique individual she gladly embraces.

Finding the thorn on the stem slowly bleeding,
draining the life from the flower above
Sharp as a tack and as deadly as poison,
taking the breath from this moment of love
Growing alone on the garden path weeping,
death and decay climb the arbor of fear
Bramble and thicket collect in the corners,
nary a bloom or a petal is near
Brown, now the color that takes the advantage,
loneliness forms in the shadows you see
Stay farther back from your found expectations
before you learn that this thorn, it is me

A birder in search of a bird
Just slipped on a buffalo turd
Sharp as a tack
Flat on his back
He learned not to follow the herd!
Did you tire of one President's lecturing and preaching?
Do you cringe at another's tweets, his lechery and "leechering?"
Then as George W Bush Jr's term fades from the annals of recency
Let us recall the stirring words of this man of abiding decency
"Junior" as the USA's President was a bit of an anomaly
As he observed: "I know how hard it is to put food on your family." (Jan, 2000)
It was rather hard to take his Presidency all too seriously
After this: "I know the human being and fish can coexist." (Sept., 2000)
For education, he and Laura shared a passion, a yearning
To wit: "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?" (Jan, 2000)
Of course, Bush could also be sharp as a tack, downright uncanny
Like the time he bragged, "They misunderestimated me!" (Nov, 2000)
And after eight years in office, "W" had become quite the orator
As seen in this reflection: "I think I was unprepared for war, --er." (Dec, 2008)
So there you have it, a smattering of evidence
~ That speaking the King's English is not required of a President
Okay, time for a chuckle and have I got a good one
Wife Cathie, VP son Scottie and I went to a garage sale on Saturday
Along with our golden retriever Annie
I was in charge of making sure I had a good hold of her leash
Annie behaved really well, dropping little treasure on a few lawns
Scottie dutifully picked them up and placed them in a little green bag
Neatly tied the end and placed it in his pocket
Bought a couple of gadgets for a song and continued on home
Then it was off to the signing for his new car
Followed by a celebratory meal in a classy restaurant
Finally back home exhausted, we each had a wee nappy-poo
Upon waking, my sharp-as-a-tack son put his hand in his pocket
And broke into an uncontrollable fit of laughter
There, neatly wrapped was that little green poop bag
Which he had neatly tucked away through all of the day's events
The signing, the restaurant, the wee nappy-poo!!!
We were totally convulsed with uncontrollable laughter
For a good half hour or more... a real class act eh! LOL
Bigger than life, though petite in the flesh,
An outlet where coolness and intellect mesh,
A mind where ideas and decisions are fresh,
She’s as hip as a justice can be.
At 85 years, she’s still sharp as a tack,
With feistiness others before her did lack.
She opened the door and there’s no going back;
Even those on the right must agree.
With her trainer, her workouts have earned her acclaim
And her night owl habits put others to shame.
Like the rapper from Brooklyn, she merits the name –
The Notorious one – RBG!*

A call to the ring
singing and ringing
the replier has gone with the twisting
as long before ago come for finishing.
A finger in the ring
showing love without crying
it is a prison of dying
a jail of impact recovering.
Sense and heart as sharp as a tack ding dong
as the soul in ready and waiting
to slash the mist of tearing
life has no wasting.
A mother,a grand-mother and a great- grand mother too,,,
A lot of influence through the years has flowed through you.
You have built a legacy as the years have gone by...
And the influence you have had will never die.
Few people have done what you have done...
And fewer still have had your fun.
You have a mind that is sharp as a tack...
And you're full of vim and vigor and that's a fact.
So I tip my hat because I am blessed to have a friend like you...
I stand in awe of the greatness of you.

Sharp as a tack is what they say
When someone is perceptive,
But when that person's old and gray
The brain's not as receptive.
He may still seem both quick and smart
In things that really matter,
But aging surely plays its part
To make that tack much flatter.
I used to be different
So much stronger
So much more independent
My thoughts were sharp as a tack
I'm full of lots of stories and wisdom
Life for me has been long
Many years behind me
Somewhere in time
My mind has forgotten me
Every now and than
If you look into my eyes
You'll see glimpses
Of all of my yesterday's
Please be patient
Don't toss me aside
I don't mean to be a burden
Or a torn in your side
I need you to remember
Not just for you, but for me
All of our good times
Our cherished memories
I need you now today
To take care of me
The way I cared for you
When in my arms as a baby you layed
Please don't forget me
As I have forgotten myself
Love me and cherish me
Help me live on
Somewhere inside
I am still here
I need lots of compassion
And a loving hand to hold
