looks down his nose at us and snorts~
"your poems are subpar 
and only fit as char" ~
in the judgement of his self-made court!

Nothing Seems to Last

nothing seems to last
flowers weep faded petals
a faint scent lingers
once blooming in bright color
my poems have lost their appeal

emotions wither
wilted words whirl in the wind
bereft of beauty
I strive to remain rooted 
hoping for droplets of love

Africa Seems Free

Looking through my window
Children playing around with slops
Dogs cats cows... singing in their own right
Trees mingling with the wind songs of praise
Some off to the bush for food,
Who the LION is none of their business
Africa Seems free.

On the streets shouting carrying screaming
Jesus Muhammad...
Working for heaven eden
Back home they cant spare a bean for their Neighbor!

Hope Only Seems Fallen

Hope only seems fallen
At the end of battles;
After the dust settles -
It reappears erelong.

Hope carries a spark -
An internal light -
A fire for life
That eschews the dark.

Hope sings an anthem -
Once fear is put out
And despair is bound -
Its song is heard again.

The world shows us one thing,
but behind it, something darker lives.
We’re told stories shaped by power,
not truth.
They write history to fit their plans.
They call it help,
but it's control.
Rich men send poor men to die
in wars over land, oil, and power.
And we believe it's for freedom.

Every minute, a man takes his own life.
Every day.

I find myself unwilling to immerse myself in your vast and tumultuous black sea of hate. 
It’s essential to recognize that nobody enters this world with a broken soul; rather, we gradually acquire our scars and wounds as we journey through life. You emerged into this existence seemingly unblemished, free from wrongdoing,

Seems a Lifetime

In bed with you,
The swallowtails, I count their dots.
In bed with you,
Inside this box, the splinter rue.
This garden floats with spectral spots.
You seem cold now;   I had the hots,
In bed with you.

Above the fray,
Where grass is green, and swans be loud.
Above the fray,
Clouds black and blue, the bullets spray.
The kissing lips of peril,

How do you fight when the battle is within you, and every attempt seems doomed to fail

When you thought you were strong, but now you see you're caught in the web of doubt,
A stranger in your own skin, searching for a self that once seemed so certain,
I try to rise, but I fall again, chasing

If no one seems to give a hoot about a poem you've written,
try reading it out loud to your dog or to your kitten.
And if, as you read it, all the while,

In a world where time seems to flow like a lazy river

In a world where time seems to flow like a lazy river,
I walk among thoughts that weave together like a tapestry of dreams,
slowing my steps, for haste is not my companion,
but deep within my soul, I carry the desire to find someone,
a woman with whom to share stories until the end of eternity,
when even eternity

Is it as it seems

A bottle of water,
Bought from the store,
Could be used once,
Then thrown to the floor.

A can of soda,
From the shop,
Once used, discarded,
No need for more pop.

If I look at it,
From a point of view,
Where they don’t want many,
I could only name a few.

But alas, it is nature,
Of those who are made,
To go through the rhythms,
And all
