I reminded myself in an unusual way,
While standing in a rain of a watery display,
Soaking in my new town's local splash park,
Remembering how I needn't be in the dark.
I let the risen structuredly flowing fountain
Grant me a liquified sense of liberation
As I basked beneath a cloudy sunlit sky,
Promising myself to never again deeply cry.
I reminded myself on this very special day,
From now on everything'll be more okay.
I embraced all my parts of that were hurting,
As I began speculating every new beginning.
I smiled fondly about who I am becoming,
As I close the chapters for every ending.
I danced in the upwardly cascading rains,
As I silently renounced away all of my pains.

Every 20 February, I am reminded
Unwanted
Rejected
Unloved
Every 20 February, the dagger twists
Impossible to love
Difficult child
A duty not a joy
Every 20 February, I am reminded
Living mistake
Born a stranger
Resented existence
Every 20 February, the dagger twists
Never good enough
Not deserving
Never worthy
Every 1 September, I am reminded
I am love
I am strength
I am enough

Weariness can settle into our lives
But praise be to God the Father who
Can show up right in the middle of dreariness
The Awaker is the Maker of Heaven and Earth
With Him all things are possible
He is the ‘Now’ God
We Bow to His Name right in the middle of dreariness
God shows up
To help, enlighten, solidify and support His people
Weariness can settle into our lives
But praise be to God the Father who
Can show up right in the middle of dreariness

I pass by the nature everday,
To see it's beauty in every way.
The sound of the shiny streams that pass through every night,
Reminded me of your light which was blinding bright.
In the garden full of roses covered in dew,
Mine was covered in thorns a few.
I keep wondering about your sweetness towards me,
Which had turned into darkness to be.
I tried forgetting you,
But it was still quite blue.
Whenever I would stare at the twinkling stars,
It would remind me of you and your painful scars.
Everything seems dark without us,
And I think that's something we're both supposed to discuss.
Seeing two clouds merge in the sky,
Reminded me of your hugs in July .
Everyday just passes by me getting through you,
And I had lost all my virtue.
So, at nights I weep,
And in loneliness I sleep.
I kept pouring my eyes sometimes,
Until the day we finally criticised to survive
For being together in those happy times
Till we both were in coffins but alive.

They started out as acquaintances at work
There was a tiny inkling that she had
She was a waitress, he was the soda jerk
He kind of reminded her of her Dad.
There was a tiny inkling that she had
He was exactly what a mate should be
He kind of reminded her of her Dad.
His arms were strong, his loving….free.
He was exactly what a mate should be.
He encouraged her to shine her light.
His arms were strong, his loving….free.
Her confidence was amazingly bright.
He encouraged her to shine her light.
He had become more than her best friend.
Her confidence was amazingly bright.
She said, “I’ll love you until the absolute end.”

"He fills my life with good things." Psalms 103: 5a
When reading this line from Psalms 103 today
My heart is filled with a poignant truth
In so many ways I have neglected to praise
God while in my youth
Once again, I am reminded
Of times throughout my years
I have put God on a shelf
The results were unnecessary tears
Even in my aging body
My spirit forgets to praise
Oh! How much better it would be
To lift Him up all my days!

rice and gravy perfectly made
for some reason, the liver goes well with it
i would rather have some neckbones
however, somebody out there and hungry would love to take my place right now
buttermilk biscuits almost puts me to sleep
the honey butter is a pleasant surprise
the shells and cheese with bacon bits, to me, balances it out rather well
i remember when i was that somebody out there hungry wishing i was who i was observing while salivating
one night, i middle aged guy stopped at my car and told me his story
i went into a burger king and bought him some food and a cup of water
at the time, i had just finished eating dinner bought with my plasma donation money
the tears of gratitude in his eyes represented his truth to me
i drove back 'home' that night heavily humbled

i am reminded of my mother's advice
find a woman with God dearest in her heart
be grateful if she comes to love you
sit at His feet therein and blessings be yours
i am again lost in photos of you
when life held you in precious moments
those perennials you so loved
each as knight errant before your roses
lost in hues from rose, lavender, and blue
butterflies appearing
as they eagerly searched for their drams
wings of white, yellow, and orange
your marrow fills me
now a longing held within
times when i hunger to approach that Throne
upon supplicant knees
offer every blessing life has given
for simply one more moment
in your arms

“Love is not love which alters it when alteration finds or bends with the remover to remove: O no! It is an ever-fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken; it is the star to every wandering bark whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken." William Shakespeare

In the depths of depravity we find ourselves shackled by our own misinformation and uncertainties.
Left with a reminder of times of old and good yet decaying and tarnished.
Thoughts of love, of hate coupled like some twisted nightmare waiting for the morning wake.
Reflected only as a constant mnemonic apparition of what was and will never be again....

She saw dandelion guy on his usual corner.
He is there every year during Octoberfest.
Laughing and joking with people.
She usually stayed away from him.
He seemed too happy to be real.
This year she felt differently about him.
She approached him for the first time.
He had the kindest brown eyes up close.
She could not help but think of a happily ever after.
Then his wife came up with their baby and introduced herself.
Dream gone in an instant, but it was a portal to taking chances.

Poem I Prepared Reminded Me of Ogden Nash
Rhinoceros may be related to hippopotamus;
Synonymous and anonymous in a metropolis;
Both together do live;
Each other bath give;
Thought appeared to be purely preposterous.
Have you been laughing yet,
Read my poem with regret;
Live in rafter,
Or hereafter;
A moron like me have met.
What you did do was dubious
Matter becoming mischievous;
Handle with care;
Even when bare,
And to fact are now oblivious.

I'm Reminded
By: Tom Wright
9/30/98
Toward lightening bolts,
I cast a weary eye.
Hearing Heaven rumble
as they jump, flash,
fork, and race,
across the sky.
In wonderment,
this thought comes to mind.
A symbol of God's
greatness to Mankind?
Or perhaps His way of letting
Heavenly forces just unwind.
Destruction caused on earth
scarcely compares
to that time held in store.
When those without rebirth,
shall wail and gnash their teeth,
facing much more.
Not compromising,
God, made it abundantly clear,
we must be born again.
Then to His word adhere,
if holding any hope
of entering in.
Can we by works triumph?
Nay, only through His grace by faith.
Not from within,
are we made whole.
Jesus paid the ultimate price,
His life's blood, to redeem our soul.
Then as calm returns,
having seen, God, in his greatness.
I'm reminded once again,
that fields are white,
that laborers are few,
and of His hours lateness.

I Was Just Reminded
By Franklin Price
6/4/2015
I was just reminded
Of graduation long ago
It happened on this evening
Many seeds we had to sow
One and fifty years have gone
Doesn't seem that they have passed
Since we stood there in our caps and gowns
My the time has gone fast
Classmates left and went their ways
Opened up new books of life
Some married their young high school loves
Became a husband or a wife
Others off to college went
Some heard their country call
Work was another option
Not the same for one and all
We've reached this day whatever path
And for the ones still left
Our books of life still open
Closed for those gone we are bereft
Hope your lives were satisfying
That bad memories were few
That life now is fulfilling
That happiness is there for you
That you're glad to rise each morning
Make the sun shine every day
Even if it's cloudy
That your light will show the way

...and the rain came down
Hard Wet Wet
It reminded me of you
you always tasted like the rain
...and the wind rushed in
Swirled Soft Soft
It reminded me of you
you always sounded like the wind
...and the cloud drifted by
Vanished Away Away
It reminded me of you
you always felt like the cloud
...and the sun kissed the day
Full Hot Hot
It reminded me of you
It reminded me of you
It reminded me of you

said to be silly
in this day & age
to believe for a
second that all
it would take is
to remind the one
you love that
you love them,
that it would take
a simple form,
that it could be
simple & unprovoked,
that it would have
even more of
a positive effect
than you ever could
imagine---just
by letting them know,
that it wouldn’t take
money, that it wouldn’t
take promises that
no one in a million
could live up to, that
it wouldn’t take
a whole false way of
“newness” that
we all know gets
lost as the days pass
anyway, that it
would be the grounds
of a precious
memory that they’d
keep safely inside
until that last breath &
most of all,
that
it
would
work.
