I Am Reminded of My Mother's Advice

i am reminded of my mother's advice
find a woman with God dearest in her heart
be grateful if she comes to love you
sit at His feet therein and blessings be yours
i am again lost in photos of you
when life held you in precious moments
those perennials you so loved
each as knight errant before your roses
lost in hues from rose, lavender, and blue
butterflies appearing
as they eagerly searched for their drams
wings of white, yellow, and orange
your marrow fills me
now a longing held within
times when i hunger to approach that Throne
upon supplicant knees
offer every blessing life has given
for simply one more moment
in your arms

“Love is not love which alters it when alteration finds or bends with the remover to remove: O no! It is an ever-fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken; it is the star to every wandering bark whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken." William Shakespeare

I Was Just Reminded
By Franklin Price
6/4/2015

I was just reminded
Of graduation long ago
It happened on this evening
Many seeds we had to sow

One and fifty years have gone
Doesn't seem that they have passed
Since we stood there in our caps and gowns
My the time has gone fast

Classmates left and went their ways
Opened up new books of life
Some married their young high school loves
Became a husband or a wife

Others off to college went
Some heard their country call
Work was another option
Not the same for one and all

We've reached this day whatever path
And for the ones still left
Our books of life still open
Closed for those gone we are bereft

Hope your lives were satisfying
That bad memories were few
That life now is fulfilling
That happiness is there for you

That you're glad to rise each morning
Make the sun shine every day
Even if it's cloudy
That your light will show the way

Is when I miss hitting like,
Then I'm reminded.

The Nature Reminded Me

I pass by the nature everday,
To see it's beauty in every way.
The sound of the shiny streams that pass through every night,
Reminded me of your light which was blinding bright.

In the garden full of roses covered in dew,
Mine was covered in thorns a few.
I keep wondering about your sweetness towards me,
Which had turned into darkness to be.

I tried forgetting you,
But it was still quite blue.
Whenever I would stare at the twinkling stars,
It would remind me of you and your painful scars.

Everything seems dark without us,
And I think that's something we're both supposed to discuss.
Seeing two clouds merge in the sky,
Reminded me of your hugs in July .

Everyday just passes by me getting through you,
And I had lost all my virtue.
So, at nights I weep,
And in loneliness I sleep.

I kept pouring my eyes sometimes,
Until the day we finally criticised to survive
For being together in those happy times
Till we both were in coffins but alive.

To Be Reminded...

To love with an heart that gives boundless of adorement
To know that your love is being cherished with anothers heart
As precious as a smile that is smiled just for your eyes
To feel a warmth that heats the coldest of body
To feel desire within the words that are spoken
To see a tear that holds you near when in despair
A kiss that is of comfort aswell as lusted passion
A talk of whats real in a innocences of truth
To see the dreams that you have dreampt
The feeling of strength just by a gaze
To live in one others mind which is so kind
To be silent in a crowded room just knowing you are by myside
To touch like you have never been touched
To understand there are fears even when in love so much
Just to love the most natural emotion of a pureness
Is to be forever reminded that we love ....

I Am Reminded

I try hard not to remember and sometimes I don’t;
But inevitably somewhere somehow I get reminded.
And what I’m supposed to do about it I couldn’t really say;
Except if I was like I use to be I would have already gone away.
But I’m not am I?
I often tell myself I’m less intolerant then I use to be;
But maybe that’s some sort of an excuse.
Compensation, regulation and practiced rhetoric;
It all might be borderline pathetic.
She’s a good girl except when she’s not;
It’s when she’s not that continually haunts my mind
I think it balances out, but I can’t be sure and;
Is equal balance an acceptable conceptuality here?
A half a dozen chickens, a dozen eggs at hand;
There’s no dinner on the table but a hatchet’s by the stand.
What it doesn’t make much sense to you;
Well it certainly does to me;
And it doesn’t matter anyway;
You’re not looking where I see.

Poem I Prepared Reminded Me of Ogden Nash

Poem I Prepared Reminded Me of Ogden Nash

Rhinoceros may be related  to hippopotamus;
Synonymous and anonymous in a metropolis;
Both together do live;
Each other bath give;
Thought appeared to be purely preposterous.

Have you been laughing yet,
Read my poem with regret;
Live in rafter,
Or hereafter;
A moron like me have met.

What you did do was dubious
Matter becoming mischievous;
Handle with care;
Even when bare,
And to fact are now oblivious.

REMINDED OF YOU

I watched as the sun slowly rose over the horizon
As I observed each beautiful hue, I was reminded of you

I watched, as a mother bird constructed her nest so meticulously
Then watch over her hatchlings and, I was reminded of you

I listened as rain fell gently on my roof and whispered against my window
With each drop that fell, I was reminded of you

I walked among the springtime flowers as they bloomed in the meadow
Through their sight and their fragrance, I was reminded of you

I passed by a farmer’s field and breathed the aroma of a newly turned earth
With its unique, distinctive headiness, I was reminded of you

I stood in amazement at the beauty of the leaves of Autumn
The colors were so pleasant to behold and, I was reminded of you

The joy of the first snowfall of Winter brought excitement with it
Each snowflake was unlike any other and, I was reminded of you

Wherever I look, whatever I behold, no matter what I hear
I marvel at everything around me and, I am reminded of you

Just because I love you!

Righteously Reminded

Discontentment and resentment isn't instant faithfullfillment being impatient is contagious outlandish and outragious by being bias to the basics while relying on relations which unties communication creating carnal devastation destroying the creators great creation unless we as one nation under God finally awaken.

Reminded

Some brief moments
Scattered ones
I feel the ego pull me back again
Always I recover when I witness the presence of my thread to God
And frequently you string that thread through my needle
And I sew great gifts for my fellow souls
You pass through me like wind
Our forces are undivided
You have lightened my heart
And help me turn around and see my own face again; my eternal face
The character of my spirit
The divine infinite soul I have always been and continue to be
I see me through you
Experiencing you is a truth I’ve always known.
Our love is eternal.

This Is Not a Poem, It Is a Truth U People Need To Be Reminded Of-----

in my junior year of college i learned the following and in the midst of the madness of last midnight i don't know why i suddenly remembered this.....so if you are expecting a poem stop here...if you are willing to learn read on:
2,500 years ago Socrates opined: "THE PERFECT HUMAN BEINGS ARE ALL HUMAN BEING PUT TOGETHER: IT IS A COLLECTIVE: IT IS A "WE": IT IS ALL OF US PUT TOGETHER THAT MAKES P E R F E C T I O N !
and i say "there are as many forms of love as there are human beings on this god forsaken earth! IF THIS EDIFIED YOU DON'T THANK ME, THANK SOCRATES, IF YOU IGNORE IT I CURSE YOU FOR DISMISSING GENIUS" PHREEPOETRY ~free cee!~

It Reminded Me of You

...and the rain came down
Hard     Wet     Wet
It reminded me of you
you always tasted like the rain

...and the wind rushed in
Swirled     Soft     Soft
It reminded me of you
you always sounded like the wind

...and the cloud drifted by
Vanished     Away     Away
It reminded me of you
you always felt like the cloud

...and the sun kissed the day
Full     Hot     Hot
It reminded me of you
It reminded me of you

It reminded me of you

This Was How You Reminded Me 2010

You made me wear his jacket
To keep me from the cold
As I ushered in the mourners
I cried in fear of the thought
Of his death touching my skin
A feeling of deep sorrow and guilt
I locked myself in Rachael’s room
Hanging his coat on the back of her door
I prayed for them to wait
''Please lord let them all wait''
We were just not ready (or was that just me?)
And yet I open the door to find
These memories have passed
Taking you now with them
I’m not unsure exactly where your grave lies
I’m certain next to him in his Sunday best
Placed mid dream faced turned to happiness
Unaware that now I am left
Scrambling through wardrobes
In second hand stores
Hunting out the jacket I once had left
on the back of a door to a room
In a house
full of waiting mourners
If only for one nuzzle, a spark of memory
To take me further back, than then end.

Forsaken

In the depths of depravity we find ourselves shackled by our own misinformation and uncertainties.
Left with a reminder of times of old and good yet decaying and tarnished.
Thoughts of love, of hate coupled like some twisted nightmare waiting for the morning wake.
Reflected only as a constant mnemonic apparition of what was and will never be again....

Reminded

Every 20 February, I am reminded
Unwanted
Rejected
Unloved

Every 20 February, the dagger twists
Impossible to love
Difficult child
A duty not a joy

Every 20 February, I am reminded
Living mistake
Born a stranger
Resented existence

Every 20 February, the dagger twists
Never good enough
Not deserving
Never worthy

Every 1 September, I am reminded
I am love
I am strength
I am enough
