As children life is just a game we play,
Learning new lessons as we live each day.
Year after year as we grow and mature,
We sense that there’s more than to just endure.
We must have a purpose and not just fun,
Something worthwhile to pass on when we’re done.
Something to show others, we understand,
Encouraging words to be all that they can.
A guiding light as they live their own life,
Words that will help during struggle and strife.
Tell them of the common things that we share,
Demonstrate our love so they know we care.
Then pass on our truth as we say farewell,
Like teachers taught us, we should show and tell.
Bring me the cane, the old purse;
I’ve journeyed through too many seasons here.
The roads have shifted like dreams I’ve lost,
but my feet still know the way.
No need for ceremonies or goodbyes—
it’s time to leave behind what no longer serves.
The sky ahead will be enough,
and I’ll follow where the horizon leads.

a strange sort of flow
comes with thoughts of long ago
spews a welcome glow
nostalgia may just soothe
when mixed with lies and half-truths
Hitler and his ilk
less troublesome than spilled milk
like Wendell Wilkes
slavery a slight bother
endorsed by founding fathers
a happy nation
few trials or tribulations
add more misinformation
ignore racial injustice
force the children to trust us
all Greenwood flattened
pretend it never happened
let's not be saddened
forget all those starved and bruised
that story is over used
no big mystery
we’ll sugar coat history
practice sophistry
let's deny the Holocaust
past transgressions should be lost
need new set of rules
ensure what is taught in school
makes nation look good
our kids do not need to know
repeating the past brings woe
Fabled America is slipping away,
surely you’ve felt it, like wind knocking
a weather vane in another direction.
At some unnoticed moment
we decided to ignore realities
as a man intent on drowning himself
plows heedlessly through the waves.
PURPOSEFUL LIFE
Why am I alive?
its answer is not in my insight
for what I have to strive
its answer is not satisfying
suddenly the answer arrive
with my ears strike
for many reasons
you are alive
for helping others and guide
don't think life is in vain
just think what you have gained.
Some go to college
to seek knowledge
Others nod and wink
drink after drink...

'PEACE!' I INSIST, 'Yes PEACE!'
I heard a War making, loud angering

Much I marveled the splendid break

Champagne Taste With Beer Money,
She's Bossy,
Takes What She Wants,
All You Have Sonny,
Hold Your Peace,
And Let The Lord Fight It,
Because In Heaven,
Bling,
Don't Mean A Thing,
Honey.
I hope tomorrow comes
I pray God allows me many more days
my purpose on this Earth Beyond
myself more what Melancholy what does the Lord God have me
I just remain patiently ever diligently
so I keep my eyes on the prize
and my heart and mind open
I hope many many tomorrows come cause

Amidst the roaring waves I live and stand
claws bared, waves rise and fall to tear me down;
lashing me with chilling force to disband,
their perpetual onslaught wants me drown.
Screaming tempestuous chill winds storm me
buffeting hard to wipe me out of ground,
winds and waters join hands to howl and glee
with perennially ominous sound.
Storm, sound, slush and shock strikes me everyday
standing not to fight or be bastion,
standing tall, strong, serene I light the way
so ships sail safe to their destination.

Every tear, every step
When the pain wraps around you
And claims back your breath
How the fear makes you idle
And you start to believe
That darkness will forever
Loom over me
And as you fall through the abyss
Deep into its gloom
Let the shadows caress you
And watch yourself bloom
Though the colours are faded
And you can't bare the weight
Know that all of your pain
Will be useful one day
