The strike was very swift.
Yet they gave us a priceless gift.
But the bone of contention was still there.
The elders called all concerned to be here.
Behold the other tribal chiefs were still discussing
the rift.
In my garden
Rays of the rising sun
Spin bright hues on dews on flowers
as sunbeams on glasses~
Nature`s wonder.
With the sunrise
Colours dance in my soul
As I gaze at hues on flowers
Like light on a clear prism~
Nature`s sweet gift.
Word Prism Poem 1-26-26
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Prisms
Solid clear crystals
carved with facets ~
geometric fantasy.
Splashes rainbows on walls
sings with color ~
humming bands of hues.
No eyes nor ear nor nose,
clothes waterfalls, full moons and coronas ~
makes sunbows without rainstorms.
Delight sighs at smorgasbord of colors,
gasping at beauty's pure miracle ~
gemstone prisms make awe sparkle.
Frustration
Moody in its own reflection
Confusing to the inner mind
Bubbling thoughts of strained distinction
Bold and soothing, equal measures
Ferocity and shushing sounds
Thrust from mouths in contemplation
Syllables of three marcations
Peaks and troughs sequencing structure
Signify ensuing fervour
Consumed by anger, filled with fear
A burning sensation deep within
Erupting like a fevered lava
spaces spaces
the very first day where
you left the womb
traffic still running on
windshield wipers against rain
shaking meter
watching this foggy
sidewalk, your body inside
a million other lives
spaces spaces
either before or behind
you leave them
Is a moment
when nothing inside argues
with the way it is, it's as is.
It opens softly—
a breath easing from a grip,
a hushed gush the mouth trusts.
Pale misty early morning light,
water smoothing over stones,
space wide enough to let in and receive.
It arrives unannounced,
while walking besides trees or shorelines—
and stays, if we stop chasing it.
An angelic being,
helping to guide and protect us.
Seen by some but mostly unseen.
They can ring bells,
and sing in the wind.
Even be heard in a soft whisper.
Looking like a fluffy cloud,
wearing a white flowing gown.
Wearing wings and a pretty halo.
Have not seen them,
but have seen the effects from them.
Have written about them.
My mind is a prism.
Ridges of plexiglass.
Angles with multiple hues varying on where the light hits.
Some angles have no light hitting them at all.
But it doesn’t mean that those are less appealing.
Just more challenging to interpret.
We often overlook the shadows in our mind.
Giving them no credit for leading us to the transformative colors on the other side.
It is within life’s deepest complexities that the soul unearths its rarest treasures.
So why wait to unearth yours?
Spring Prism
Prisms leap
From the wombs of raindrops
Born on bits of sunshine
Spring kaleidoscope
In flowing ribbons,
A floral bouquet
Joined then translated into
Flames of crimson roses
Beams of orange tulips
And rays of new chartreuse leaves
Beacons of pale bluebells
Purples shafts of hyacinth and lilacs
When color trickles into a sunbow
Like springs released
Bursting into a fountain of rainbows –
Light wakes hibernating hues of shadows.
Escaped leave parts way
sensed brittle cell bathes
feign light darkens hope
bottled self awashed
price of freedom death
Looking at him is like looking through a kaleidoscope
He feeds my fascination with
all of his beautiful colors
His body full of light and sound
I love his brown eyes
Their glorious depth that draws me in
Their shape, their shade
His chocolate , his mahogany, his cinnamon
Warm cherry against his honey skin
he lights up , a diety in the summer sun
smiles to me softly like a dream
My eternal muse
My bellflower blue and lemon cream
His hearts a prism in the palm of my hands
Polished crystalline pristine
Polished glass shines like dazzling diamond faces,
Refracts the VIVGYOR spectrum of linear rainbow,
Imbues colors as emotion passing through prism heart traces.
Sparkling luminescent life then becomes a kaleidoscopic show,
Makes in prismatic mind the stream of euphoric hues to flow.
Coloring clouds with sparkling sapphire
filling them in with a clear blue sky;
Seamless strokes paint a glittery glow,
a happy thought’s an art deco gem;
Catching the light as if bathed in fire
nature’s potent muse pleases the eye;
Throwing a smile on every shadow
they brighten with fresh optimism;
A cyclone that leaves an all time low
gives way to an avant-garde prism.
Bits of what we had
Became unstrung, life then spun
Out of my control.
Then saw goodness of your soul...
Sadly cannot find them all.
Visually impaired - I view the mirrors
The effect - I danced in life
Colors - Hues impressed my very soul
I became the artist -I painted
Love of life's beauty - realism indeed
Even the flower the challenge at most
Sanity within me as I push brush
Exerted up all night it takes a toll
Teachers- astounding bringing best
But yet I see the critique in me built
Esteem developed it is the roll
I too cultivate some derogatory weed
I paint views -. Opinions , it's a test
IQ in painting challenges the mind
Imagery I still see that prism of colors
Hues in front of me, yet still I find
That the warms and cools I stroke
Yet should I charcoal first too
The beloved conte then broke!!!
It shattered the mind - ideas now
In a bind......
