Presuming Poems

Premium MemberAlphabet Zig Zag

Again, I take my pen in hand.
Bring words to mind, so I can plan.
Compose a verse quite fresh and new!
Deciding on what style to do?
Each letter then I will suggest,
Flows quickly through the alphabet.
Great, this shall give me loads of choice,
Hoping you out there hear my voice.
In-case you don’t I’ll write it down
Just to ensure you will not frown.
Kindly yes, I considered that,
Let me decide the right format.
Making the meter rhyme I say
No other style for me today.
Organised with this choice, just made,
Presuming brings me accolade.
Questions although could still be asked,
Reviews received could me unmask.
Still, I shall understand if you,
Turn aside and do not review.
Undecided? you may have heard,
Value now from my written word
Will bring a Merry Christmas too,
Xeroxed this now sending through.
Yes, lastly, I will cheer and say,
Zip-a dee- doo dah- zip-a-dee ay!

Arrival of a Rival

Screwed up eyes and a huge flush
By one fending off a blush,
After the surest glimpse of Her Crush
With an Eve of enveloping lush;
Something in her beginning to crash
Tony to no more escape a tongue-lash!

Her oval face soon the fullest flush,
At which no sensible man will rush,
It presuming to be about some thrush;
The very thought and idea a slush
Of one booking her a suite plush…

Serena is now complying with a hush
Not demanded by imposing lips
Not will her cost a half brush,
If she her lips speedily unzips,
Out letting her anger gush
Or her tongue steadily slips…

A Serena already edged out by Rival
With some ambition in her arrival.

What does the term "astonishing friends" imply?
Is whatever that sheds from the aroma sly?
To reach out to someone with a mild gesture
Presuming one of your contacts is an admirer

Genuine mates provide an endless onset of courage.
Even though spoken knifers might hassle a rampage.
Similarly, I stick to a mate, one of my favorite.
I gleaned she should realize whether I'm a pundit.

Everything focuses on what we urge to avail.
Whatever we mumble at the witness scale.
That is the method that saves a partner's entity.
Their hearts are closed, avoiding despondency.

That is the goal they stay such a burly amenity.
Aside from being deserving of such apathy.
I can't start revealing the size I revere them.
Hustling them, then again, sustains mayhem.

About the Moon

Standing by the moon lakes of open craters
Rocks remain the same and in their place
In short supply are birds of winter
Oxygen takes flight in missing trees
Origins of which remain a mystery
In beds of dust in beds of sand found there
Wed to the granular unsaid
Reason settles all the dust of lunar trust

It is presumed there are no men on Mars
Perhaps the moon absconded with them all
And women too since we are presuming to
Know what there is to know about the moon

Eyes of the moon are deep crevasses
Attempting to bore into humanity
Consuming flesh and soul in their reflections
From a sun that never rests but only questions

Defending Green Snake

It wasn’t a green snake
That tried God’s enterprise to foil
Nor one of greenish make
That had man pushed into piteous toil.

 The sun-loving green wouldn’t anything spoil,
As often it’s thinking of how to funnily coil,
This presuming to playfully act out on your very soil
While your odd animosities you oil
And not once, not twice, unnecessarily boil.

Premium MemberPretenders

After the aftermath
of the cisterns quieting,
a moth flutters free
then drops into the nest
of sounds that crickets weave.

all of our away-words
wait the gathering of ground.
between our usual state
of lost and found.

we hesitate in leisure,
presuming to douse our thoughts
with memory’s perfume,
intoxicate our wilderness
with stupor,
known to render children mad
and madmen to surrender.

Some call us, pretender.
So light a breeze upon us
one could scratch to catch
a tick of something licking
at the bottom of your mind.

You cannot find a trace.
It has no face.
Some believe it has no place.

There is no there from where
you feel you are
and though you wish upon a star
or carry moonbeams in a jar
no ordinary miracle can reach that far.

For far is work, when close is easy;
now and then are whence;
and where you were
is where you are;

all else

is just pretense.

You Cannot Hurt Me Anymore

I dont care about your words anymore
Your words now i completely ignore

The uncountable flaws i have must not be your concern
Your judgemental mind must be one

I cry from comparison about me you make
You break my heart when you say i am fake

You called me a loser, i was really hurt
Presumed about me said i dont put enough effort

Everyone's work is what you praise
When it comes to mine you make an ugly face

You kill me with your awful words
They are weapon to my heart and to my mind sword

You say and forget
Break heart and have no regret

Its my mind where sadness last
I tell people and they say i live in past

Stop presuming stuff about me
Your baseless judgement dont let my mind free

Premium MemberWisdom of Integrity

Wisdom co-arises with integrity
to empower bilateral
and multilateral consciousness
of robust polycultural knowing
climates of better global health
through local nonviolent communication safety.

Safety is organically healthy felt
co-arising sufficient co-investment thoughts,
not precluding,
nor presuming,
social distancing
yet within active hope of full circle winning
interdependent call and response,

Listening for both/and feelings speaking
healing egocentric bodies
restorying ecosystemic habitats
of warm
engaging
cooperative hospitality
in-between integrity's seductive enlightenment
and wisdom's inductive empowerment.

You'Re Not You'Re a Victim

complaints that they have no voice
historically silent now they holla
women gays and blacks make noise
their priority's to matter

age old mistreatment sorrows
they stand, they shout and many follow
equality for all tomorrows
some cry true most cry hollow

opinions form inside their heads
mine and yours find views too store
but with all if the truth be said
ism's form where not before

are we really so uneven
when 3 percent our nations black
seek a fairness breaking even
on a surface filled with cracks

cus I have been mistreated too
held back with no advance
maybe you have beaten you
the reason you have no chance

cus CV's sit in black and white
no gay preference there on show
qualification on show in sight
you, it's maker not to know

we put discriminations into isms
presuming prejudice low as low
I think we all live in this prison
of what we think not what we know

Sew What

My new quilting teacher’s a guy
Which proves why you cannot get by
With presuming you know
Just which person will show
If the course list does not specify.

He’s delightful and knows all his stuff
And his skills appear quite up to snuff.
In his class I can grow
Since this teacher’s a pro
And that knowledge is more than enough.

Premium MemberLife's In the Mind

The Life of the Mind is extolled by Professors
   Though when they think, they just guess or
      perhaps idly chatter

There are some who won't use their brawn
   And 'brainiacs' who won't mow the lawn

Others say 'they'll work with their Hands'
   as if hands are not directed by the Mind of Man

All this, so far's neither here nor there
   Here's what I assure you
   Presuming you care
      Reality is WHAT you perceive it to be
      Perception's HOW you see it, subjectively

               Life's In the Mind
               'Tis the Mind makes it live
                 That is the Truth
                 Which Experience Gives

Desire My Entire Satire

There may be many poets who do desire,
To read and enjoy all of my entire satire;
Did disturb;
Found on curb,
Like some garbage that started to sour.

Jim Horn

Writing my poems have always enjoyed,
Presuming that with you will be annoyed;

Throwing in trash with thought we toyed.

While in wheelchair appeared to be short
Of any common sense needed in a court,
Neck craned;
Back sprained;
Who we doubt even God should support.

Sharks have been know to be awful cruel;
Like to crunch up people in swimming pool;
Good by waving,
When shaving;
Play sad piano music forgot to bring stool.

Jim Horn

Will just put all of my poems into one
to allow for room to approach 7,000.
