Judgement

Judgment

When I shall be the old man here,
Forgot by time, uncountable by year,
When I shall wish to pass the living brink,
At You I shall devote my thought and think.

Uselessness I`ll see in all that I achieve,
If I do not have love or can`t forgive
To do with love all that you have so ruled,
Unknown or known as suffering endured.

Washed I should not be from any of my sins,
If I did never forget or never forgive since
The hour of balance is inclined toward my trap,
And hardly passes us one thought or any other step.

And if I did not help that stranger foreign man,
A good word for the pain of that wretch sideman,
If I have never known to help my friend or mat,
In vain I shall be sorry, cry shouting or fill pat.

Or maybe all these I have done presuming,
But without love, alien and with so confiding,
Than I am just a sonorous forefinger copper,
An ugly earth body without climbing upper.

But even so, there is existing one more chance,
The wisdom in the last hour of one slippery Trans,
To give me power to see what does He want,
As life to give me; not to take and be redundant.

But sorrows, which born from facts and sin,
As are recognized, even now could be foreseen
That Judge with love in everything he does,
Inquires all and, with affection… forgives us.

Premium Member False Alarm

You Fall ...

the ground of your reality dissolves in this
stream of distraction, this inconvenient passion
the mawkish pop music you mock
is now singing your story, as
your thoughts, your breath, your blood
all consumed by his eyes, his voice, his words
all the moments of his notice of you
painting your gray paper with extrinsic purple
and lavish green, filling your thirsty cup
with intoxicating attention, until time
is measured only by your meetings

     You Stall...

hitting the invisible, inimical wall
penalized and ostracized
for presuming the right to ask why
for waking from complicit worship
for retaking your will and your mind
for staining his golden idol
with faith of the atheist

     You Call...

for all his proud proclamations
he is a needy, greedy child
your adoration is his sun
your life force he feasts on
disenchantment is your release
from the prison of submission
his hollow heart, his churlish charm
all merely a false alarm-

Morning Dewponds

Glassed Waters
                    Heavy Cobalt
Bejeweled of morning star
                    Mirroring beauty

Tranquil Waters
	Azure eyed
Life of only this moment
	Presuming nothing

Allayed Waters
	Emerald warmth
Splashing of morning glory
	Animated Verve

Sweet Waters
	Cooling Jade
Scented deep in spring rain
	Swelling rebirth

Still Waters
	Sapphire subtle
Filling drops of gentle ardor
	Granting hope

Premium Member Life's In the Mind

The Life of the Mind is extolled by Professors
Though when they think, they just guess or
      perhaps idly chatter

There are some who won't use their brawn
And 'brainiacs' who won't mow the lawn

Others say 'they'll work with their Hands'
as if hands are not directed by the Mind of Man

All this, so far's neither here nor there
   Here's what I assure you
   Presuming you care
Reality is WHAT you perceive it to be
Perception's HOW you see it, subjectively

               Life's In the Mind
'Tis the Mind makes it live
                 That is the Truth
                 Which Experience Gives

Lost and Found

My name is Daniel. For 70 years--from age 14 to age 84--
I was incomplete, bereft of mother, father, my identical
twin brother Joshua, and all my boyhood friends who were
with me that day in 1944.

Some of the stronger men had strained and struggled
to force apart the bars on the window of the railway cattle
trailer packed to capacity with Jews bound for Auschwitz.
The results of their labor was an aperture large enough
for the egress of very slender people--like Joshua and me.

"Go, my precious ones!" cried my mother.

"Go, and LIVE!" said my father. "GO NOW!"

I grabbed Joshua's hand and pulled urgently. He wrenched loose:
"I--I just can't! I love you. Good-bye."

It was in this manner I escaped terror and death, but--Oh, there
was so much I could never escape. Each day since then, I have
seen their faces--those anguished,tear-stained faces, especially
Joshua's. Soon they were all dead; they had to be, didn't they?

I grew up, married, worked hard at a fulfilling career, raised three
fine children with my wife, and played joyously with children and
grandchildren--but still was incomplete.

On mild spring day, the greatest void in my life was filled when a
stranger approached me at the park and said, "Daniel (he knew my
name), a very important person is waiting for you a few yards ahead
on the next bench." Then he just walked away.

Sitting on that bench was the near-mirror-image of myself. He stood
and smiled broadly. He had my eyes, my build, my crooked smile,
my snow-white shock of hair. Then he said it--he said "Daniel"--
like no one else who has ever existed could say my name! It was
then I noticed we were dressed alike--same style, same colors!

He told me of our parents' deaths from starvation, of his escape from
Auschwitz, of the life he had lived, of his seventy-year search for me.
My heart broke, and I begged his forgiveness for presuming that he
was dead--that they had all died at Auschwitz. Then he spoke the words
that dried my tears: "I've nothing for which to forgive you! You must now
forgive yourSELF and be whole."

We are inseparable.

Hundreds of people escaped in route to Nazi concentration camps and from those camps.

T’ was a lovely summer morn; I was feeling as fresh as dew
I grabbed my cup of coffee and settled down to read a few
Going down the list, favorites are always first choice
So, down the list I scrolled, absorbing, and to each one gave voice
Then I stalled.. glanced a title both interesting and mysterious
Took a sip of my coffee as I became more curious
Presuming it'd be fun to read; how it would compliment the weather
So I settled in my comfy chair feeling light as a feather
As I read the poem, once..and then again, I gave up feeling lost!
Disconnected from the title, the stanzas were as frost!
It ruined the warmth I felt, that would have matched the day
Feeling robbed I was speechless, there was nothing to say
As I turned the page with a click, I had a mind to vent
Instead, I simply moved along not leaving a coment!

Boy What a Lady

I saw her standing on a crowded train,
a beautiful face and a perfect frame.
With oriental features and flawless skin,
was this superficial or was there beauty within?

She caught me looking and to my surprise,
she smiled and looked directly into my eyes.
I felt transfixed and my heart took flight,
is this what they mean by 'love at first sight'?

As the train slowly emptied we drew together,
I said 'hello' and I mentioned the weather.
We alighted the train and continued to chat,
we talked about interests and this and that.

We both skipped work and went to a cafe,
I think she had a mochaccino and I had a latte.
She gave me her number and I did the same,
the more that we talked the closer we came.

We left holding hands and arranged a date,
that very same night, we just couldn't wait.
And as we parted we embraced and kissed,
I found that her presence I already missed

Later that evening we went for a walk,
then sat in a bar and continued to talk.
I kissed her goodnight at her front door,
not presuming to think that I expected more.

She asked if I'd like to come in for a drink,
her flat smelled of roses and everything pink.
We opened some wine and continued to chat,
we flirted and kissed by the fire in her flat.

She said as child she was always neglected,
feeling unloved, alone and rejected.
Unfortunately her family didn't understand,
and that's why she left her home in Thailand.

Taking my hand she led me to her bed,
with feelings of lust and wine in my head.
She lowered her dress and I stood to ********,
her exquisite shape and flawless perfection.

She removed her bra her breasts stood proud,
removing her undies she then turned around.
I sat in amazement, my mind ran amok,
instead of a ladygarden she had a huge ....

Premium Member Life's Drifter

For too long, I drifted, on the sea of time,
Presuming, in youth, that it had no end;
But, I was immature, and not bullet-proof,
With no infinite quantity of days to spend;

Within, I lacked impetus, to propel my craft,
For youth had been influencing my thinking;
As my life continued taking on more water,
I feared that my drifting craft was sinking.

Then out of the blue my great deluge came,
Leaving me inundated and without an answer;
I perceived my craft would surely capsize,
I was now an unsuspecting victim of cancer.

As I feverishly bailed, adding additional pitch,
I found a life preserver just for the asking.
All that was required, was that it I’d receive,
Since that day, in God’s light, I’ve been basking.

The Good Love

I am wondering
How this easy severance
Of two parts that have grown together
Came about

Years of accomplishments
Halted by one quick cut
Like it is nothing
And all could be regained in a moment

We walk off with ease
No conscience weighed
Picking flowers off the side of the road
Calling them trees

Is it
That the good love
So comes with ease and lightness
Envelopes us with great care
And carries us forward unbeknownst to ourselves?

Simply we embraced each other
And our lives swept to new shores
Filling our hearts
Presuming it was always meant to be

Is it
That the good love
Deceives us in that
So we believe we can start over
With the same effortlessness?

We defy the labor of love
The tender growth of life
The miracle of the reciprocal spark
That is necessary to create

Is it
That the good love
Lets us walk away foolishly
Into vast fields of destruction
Holding on to our vanity
That tomorrow will offer it all up again?

What was easily gained
Is lost easily
But the song we dance to
Changes its tune forever

Again, I take my pen in hand.
Bring words to mind, so I can plan.
Compose a verse quite fresh and new!
Deciding on what style to do?
Each letter then I will suggest,
Flows quickly through the alphabet.
Great, this shall give me loads of choice,
Hoping you out there hear my voice.
In-case you don’t I’ll write it down
Just to ensure you will not frown.
Kindly yes, I considered that,
Let me decide the right format.
Making the meter rhyme I say
No other style for me today.
Organised with this choice, just made,
Presuming brings me accolade.
Questions although could still be asked,
Reviews received could me unmask.
Still, I shall understand if you,
Turn aside and do not review.
Undecided? you may have heard,
Value now from my written word
Will bring a Merry Christmas too,
Xeroxed this now sending through.
Yes, lastly, I will cheer and say,
Zip-a dee- doo dah- zip-a-dee ay!

Rapunzel's Double Life

RAPUNZELS' DOUBLE LIFE - ONCE UPON A TIME

Not so long ago
A housewife named Rapunzel
Lived in a modest bungalow
A white picket fence contained it
Flowers filled beautiful garden beds
A swinging seat Rapunzel would sit
Golden ringlets tied upon her head
Daily she'd greet the postman
And wave as the buses passed by
She's sit and dream of a life beyond
Questioning herself as to why?
Why is it I don't have glamour
Not even glitz or fame?
Why is it my life seems dull
With everyday just the same?
Wanting to feel some excitement
A reason to dress up real nice
Rapunzel took to the city lights
And soon was living a double life
Rapunzel became known as a socialite
Golden ringlets hung down low
Mixing with all the rich and famous
Glitz and glamour was all the go
But then on one fateful day
Rapunzels' hubby caught her out
Her photo was in the social pages
He demanded "What's this all about?"
Rapunzel she was speachless
Thinking of what to say
"Oh Arthur darling that's not me
That's my sister Madeline May"
"Madeline May is in town for a month
I'm sure I mentioned it to you
She'll be busy mixing with the wealthy
Getting to know who's who"
Arthur replied "I must of forgot"
And with that Rapunzel sighed
She'd have to be much more careful
Arthur couldn't find out she'd lied
This double life Rapunzel lived
It filled her with such delight
Life had a sense of pure excitement
Being just a housewife didn't seem right
For years Rapunzel continued
Socialising with only the best
Presuming Arthur had no clue
She had no reason to confess
After a long and eventful day
Rapunzel discovered Arthur had gone
Finding a note it simply said
'You've lived a double life too long!'

Burn All of the Flags

Smouldering pieces of thread,
Quenching synthetic boarders from ourselves,
A Phoenix burns within,
Onto crimson wings we fly,
As our heart burns forever, never to die,
Never to die,

Ashes that dashes all fear yet curiosity
Burns still, we will all be free,
To see a man, as my brother,
No difference of heart,
Not one from another,
We’ll have cloth to warm those children instead,
While the states of power, are the only ones dead,
The only ones dead,

Smouldering pieces of thread,
Quench synthetic boarders from ourselves,
Phoenix burns within,
Onto crimson wings we fly
Our heart burns forever, never to die,
Never to die,

So burn all of the flags,
Bodies left without the tags,
Left without presuming our own lives,
Left without nationality,
Left with life, as a priority,

Pride for what’s left of our countries,
Is beside what’s left when we still cut down trees,
Suffocated in colours until we’re colour blind,
They fade, tolerance of each other is where we will find,
One single land for all,
Stronger together, we cannot fall.
We cannot fall.
