Premium Member Pathways of my Mind

Somewhere

Between the nascent light
                     and
                Everlasting

Peace drifts motionless
Like the painless waves
Washing over us when

Neither sleep nor turgid
Strife possess our souls

                   my mind

Grinds into dust like the
Surface of Mars where
Darkness blinds

                        our

Worthy ambition in colors

                         not

                          yet

                    discovered

Having their own existence
Though not really a thing
But a way cleared of things
Constituting a means to fall sideways
Beckoning horizontal gravity
Proposing purpose, pointless promise
Lots beguiling by sweet sticky
Olfactory wipings
Subject pushes like a fooled particle

Discovering networks
From an inside perspective
Looking like tubes.
From outside, arachnoid;
The infinite trap
Divine vision of spider
At the universe's centre.
What you see, you get.

Premium Member Flight of a Butterfly

Slowly walking the path of life,
winging with challenge, joy, and strife.
I came upon a butterfly,
floating, flittering in the sky.

So lightly gliding through the air,
I came to a stop, just to stare.
Created with such symmetry,
designed to live a life so free.

Like a butterfly’s flight in wind,
harder at first than in the end.
Life is seen by our perception,
If not aware, by deception.

Like butterflies, go with the flow,
We’ll be shown what we need to know.

Premium Member Unseen Pathways Ahead are Full

Unseen pathways ahead are full
   Of switchbacks and great ruts.
Should you get a foot entangled -
I can help you regain your steps.

None of the routes are easy;
   There's no formidable plan.
I only know forward is the way
   So I will follow behind.

Today is not new nor bright;
It hides a lot of middle ground.
I am the friend in your life
That brings some peace of mind

Yet death is deep and mysterious;
   It's the Last Great Unknown.
That's what'll end our shared fates
And on we must walk alone.

Pathways

Onward as I mend my way
Looking towards the sheep go astray
Then in a flash appears that moment
Which I did many a time didst contemplate
Now lies it's reflection amidst shadows
For my heart did yearn but once.

Calling in the distance is the horn
to which these kids thus borne
Hading their way through glorious glen
Merry would have been my soul
Which now lurks amidst life and confusion
For my heart did yearn but once.

Gathering dust as the flock leads
Looking for more fern to feed
For the sky darkens with smoke
many a home didst light up
As the sun set making way for dark
For my heart did yearn but once

The path is long and tiresome
carrying my burden is wearisome
Looking ahead even in the night
With careful steps I glide
Under the stars that sparkle
As my heart did yearn but once.

Devine Pathways

                   GOD
                Guides me
            Opening my heart
        Driving away fears
    Transforms my soul profoundly
Hope renewed, rising each day
   Overcoming trials with Your help
   Uplifted and strengthened, alive
     Giving courage and peace
      Holding me close, reborn.

Neural Pathways

Sometimes my brain deludes me into believing that I am utterly unlovable.
Like a dog who has been in the shelter for far too long, being prepared for his final meal.
My throat closes up,
My lungs shut down,
And there are no other thoughts to be had.

I often convince myself that I do not deserve good things,
Like I am destined to live and die in a world of hurt.
As if something I have done in a past life created this monster of a brain,
As if I earned it in a way.

I know my brain tricks me,
It is conditioned to make things harder than they have to be–
I, ultimately, made it that way.
It is kind of beautiful though, that self-hatred and trauma can actively alter your brain in a physical sense–constructing neural pathways.
Sometimes it helps me to discover the trace of beauty within hideous things.

New Pathways

Tollgates on redemption road
calling out my name

Turnstiles of a fated past ...
exiting the blame

Looking back all fares are paid
new pathways to begin

Eyes now closing, heart at rest
— salvation free within

My cozy home, encircled by emerald pathways.
California autumnal beauty, created that way!!

This blessed day, He painted with magical rays,
Come on down, observe the deep, green leaves sway,

Saturday and Sundays are such glorious days here,
Grandma not hiding behind glass, there is nothing to fear.

Flowers of all sorts, in dawn’s glory growing,
Hoping some growth in my poetic heart is showing

God, most assuredly holds me in His gentle hands,
As I do my best to follow His rules and commands.

Poetry, has been such a spiritual blessing to me,
And those who wove me into their souls, effortlessly.

DO you walk the pathways of your past.
Do you look into your overgrown memories looking
For the wrong turn that you made.
Do you search for the faces of loved ones
That have faded in time.
Is it that you cannot remember or that you don't want to.
Do your eyes moisten when you realise that you can't see
Memories of the past and the future is a memory to come
Are you looking for something that has been
Or something that might be.
But you find that however much you search you will never find
What you think you have lost.

The pathways we follow
are too oft chosen for us

Our birthplace or breeding
   as to flowers their seeding

Schools and society too have their way
framing whatever they want us to say

Hearts need to express their deepest yearnings
toward the pathways our feet someday will be turning

Pathways

Watching like a protector
Lighting my pathway so bright
Moonbeams illuminate trails
I have chosen to take this dark night.

Paths are foundations one have chosen. Our lives are similar to various music, beliefs, cultures, religions, relationships one writes the lyrics, We often rehearse, perform the tunes to choose paths how one sets the volume and adjust which station to tuned to are choices which songs to live by. Our choices the footsteps one trad upon are mere choices one chooses to dance to the sounds of music, One chooses one’s atmosphere, music and relationships, One chooses to walk by faith and not sight.

PATHWAYS WALK-

I walk in my life's paths way
Do I keep straight or go right?
Should I stop?

Evolution of revolution,
spirals in a sacred path;
spinning and unending motion,
sacred geometry, holy math.

stony links of soul fire burning,
from the past into the present;
ancestral teachings we are learning,
venerable journeys they represent.

Whispers of ancestral mystery,
echoed through the sages spirit;
missing puzzle pieces of history,
given freely to those who’ll hear it.

Lain upon the land yet plundered,
ties that bind ethereal essence;
all that exists is just a number,
akashic texts in coalescence.
