Pathways

DO you walk the pathways of your past.
Do you look into your overgrown memories looking
For the wrong turn that you made.
Do you search for the faces of loved ones
That have faded in time.
Is it that you cannot remember or that you don't want to.
Do your eyes moisten when you realise that you can't see
Memories of the past and the future is a memory to come
Are you looking for something that has been
Or something that might be.
But you find that however much you search you will never find
What you think you have lost.

Beautifully put. To me, this means honoring the past, but fully living in the present, for at the blink of the eye it becomes the past, and gone. Thank you for writing it.

I would guess this is true. Perhaps not in finding though linking somehow with your disconnected self, looking for peace, perhaps the happiness…a missing link. Must be very hard…
