Emerald Pathways

Written~ September 12, 2023 My cozy home, encircled by emerald pathways. California autumnal beauty, created that way!! This blessed day, He painted with magical rays, Come on down, observe the deep, green leaves sway, Saturday and Sundays are such glorious days here, Grandma not hiding behind glass, there is nothing to fear. Flowers of all sorts, in dawn’s glory growing, Hoping some growth in my poetic heart is showing God, most assuredly holds me in His gentle hands, As I do my best to follow His rules and commands. Poetry, has been such a spiritual blessing to me, And those who wove me into their souls, effortlessly.

Hello, Robert, I really like this one… the last line, does apply to you. It’s always been like that between us. Your quality poetry and support always….not sometimes …..mean so much. You are the lightning that makes my pen flash!! And I am far from an imagist or wordsmith. Not me! I never write to impress any person with intellectual reportage! I am no intellectual))As ee Cummings said, “kisses are a better fate than wisdom, lady, I swear by all the flowers!” And when I got the impact of that~ my life shifted. Poetry is truly a blessing, so cathartic and also a way to dream away from reality. I really love your rhymes here and the way your words flow so seamlessly, in such a captivating cadence. So melodious. California must have warm weather always? I heard from a friend. Weekends are my favourite time. I really love the line “ flowers of all sorts..” hoping..” so good! A beautiful poem that i enjoyed reading. You are truly a blessed soul. And your ink never fails to amaze me .

Ink, hello, to begin..we do not have warm weather where I live year round, but, it never gets cold as in the Midwest, like Chicago, I mean. There is no snow, Southern, CA, is warmer year round. No major fault lines here. So no big earthquakes. It will get colder here in November,but not for long. No bare trees here. Those are so sad looking…..orange tree in the backyard!….and gigantic pines. Smells so good! Appreciate your feelings, on the cadence of the words. Excellent you were specific on the lines you liked, so very helpful to this author. I try a little each day to be better! But I only write to be truthful, using whatever form I see fit, Ink.
