A
historic flood
forgotten except in
tucked away
newspapers
which a reader
runs across and
due to an assumed
overlay of time
apparently
avoids the freedom
arising as what
is happening~~

The sunshine band, ember sunset.
Stunning swans' graceful elegance
Serenely swim, one can't forget.
The sunshine band
Overlay peace yet endlessness
Cast, swayed in the balmy breeze, yet
It displayed depth and eloquence;
The sunshine band
Loyalty to each other let
These white feathered benevolence
Dip their heads together, heart set.
The sunshine band

Discovering Light
Cry Ugly shame lost its power
Shame was regret…
Buying into malicious judgment I wasn't good enough…
He knew I was more than good enough… I gave all I was capable of…
He loved me because I gave 100%… even when my 100% fell short
He channeled his disappointment and hope through his poetry.
Discovery emerged reading his heirloom book… regret quickly segued into shame.
Shame perfected as a child… stepping stones used to set my foundation
Decades devoted to unraveling the source… reflected in the dark strands of thread woven in my tapestry
Oblivious of the light, silver and gold spun adjacent to and translucent overlay… changing the tapestry's initial designation.

In the realm of the heart which served as our guide
For vanities sake we cheated and lied
And all of the signs that lighted our way
Now darkened and silent had lead us astray
In our haste to proclaim that all must belong
We abandoned our will to see right from wrong
So we searched to the west, we searched to the east
Yet ever within did we search there the least
Now between every beat in a darkening hush
Each step of retreat in a frightening rush
And doubts every treason reflected in tears
Did overlay reason with maddening fear
Here Death came a stalking, unheeded, unsought
And sold us the wares we had already bought
So we pelted headlong into welcoming arms
Whose offered embrace was enticingly warm
We took all the things Death offered in spades
And with them adorned our newly dug graves
Of the angels that scry and mark every sin
No stroke may belie nor ever forfend
The promise averred yet never attained
In souls so conferred with indelible stain

by method of falling
into sleep I count the things I’d trade
-would I die
for sleep?-
and in multitudes they rise
like the inverse of all the mysteries
within a world’s deepest ocean,
a world even bigger than our own.
and in this multitude of things
I cannot find you because
our collective moments are tailor-made
by whatever powers that be
for lucid dreams echoes
of nothingness that overlay
the noise, frost of a winters’ night
that glistens as it strokes your skin
so beautiful it can kill you dead
and you’ll think it was worth it

on the waning edge of day
sunset rolls white clouds to pink and amber strands
sifting back and forth like a quilt's overlay of color
a sprawling vista
unstoppable
the quiet glide between hope and trepidation
bended sky to quell settling light
in gold, pink clouds
quill thin, like tangled trails of choice
these warm stretches of glow
drifting
into scattershot lives
sunset whittled back
as night cuts the canvas
remaking itself
ethereal
into the the soft weave of another darkness
strapped to another day

Shadowy silver curls of sweat
Beads of pearls along the way
Coats of pink nail polish
With sparkling silver overlay
Easy streets yet broken beats
Of concrete noise in an urban throng
Of despair and hollow noise
Dogs and cats eat the wooden bark
Of coquettish thriving meows
Silver singles, oh yes, us oldies do mingle

THE GOLDEN DAYS
I sit to write my childhood spun,
Those memories I carry are just like none.
When Yes was 'yes ' and No was 'no',
No stress No worries all time to flow.
Rise up early for the lovely day,
To see what pleasure overlay.
With mommy's love and unconditional care,
And daddy's super grooming powers to share!
Could I repeat my crazy thinks,
With friends gregarious who equally linked.
For being the best of best in slots,
Or jumping off those walls and knots.

Conditioning
That entangled
Overlay of stories..
Identification
Brings suffering
And desires to
Escape what
Seems broken..
That's how the
Stories go..
Ending when
Stories bloom...

A beat up club with a broken sign
‘Dreamers wanted! Dead or alive. ‘
Blood overlay on the stage,
I could see how it was;
Music pulsating;
Rhythmic visions
penetrate
with the
past.

Inspired by "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud," by William Wordsworth
I wandered lonely as a leaf that falls,
unmourned, to the distant ground
I paused when I heard a far bird's calls
Magic I'd missed looking down--
royal Autumn leaves danced in gold and red.
This must be where my lonely heart has led.
Opened my eyes to this spellbound place,
and breathed air perfumed by pine.
Then sat near blossom with smiling face,
feeling thoughts and heart align.
I watched grass spinning beneath a tall oak;
heard whispered promises breeze softly spoke.
Head full of dreams, I wandered along
paths worn by many steps before.
Mountain larks welcomed me with a song,
I spied lilacs, bluebells, and more.
Around each corner, surprises await.
I feel my loneliness start to abate.
I happen upon a wayward creek,
sit and watch her bouncing spray,
Bubbling with laughter, just what I seek--
hidden by an oak overlay.
Untethered nature met unquiet heart.
Now I burst with song; can't tell us apart!

By happenstance a glance may say
we humans saw the light of day
in universe’s vast expanse
to personate our song and dance
within a fleeting earthly stay.
At night black velvet sky array
stelliferous with appliqué
might seem to firmament enhance
by happenstance.
Yet ‘midst the starry overlay
concomitantly underway
cause and effect their course advance
encompassing in nexus trance
connections cosmic, not at play
by happenstance.

Some lives I had more time alone,
This life though has too much life owned,
I wish I could go back to the day,
I did my fusion dance with my mirror saw an overlay,
The overlay was me slightly delayed,
So when I moved it was multiple meese,
Different colors transparent but geeze,
It called me weak in a deep voice but in my mind,
Asked to switch places,
Better then drugs some ancient rituals done out of love,
Or should I say lack of anyway,
Last girl to deny me gave me that day.

We have been reshaping -
brush strokes of vision on a pristine canvas.
This place is an art class for eyes that have yet to see;
an overlay of paint needs washing away.
Whatever is made visible becomes a virtual reality.
Hell is a full bucket spilling over.
The moon will shine as blue and green as the earth
when we have eyes to see it so.
