Why do we choose live by the creed of Never's
Never make promises when you're laughing
Never trust nostalgia wearing perfume
Never regret love for its evermore
Never admit a secret to the wind
Never judge a day before 10 a.m.
Never eat before you sleep
Never ever give up
Never say die
Which brings us to atone with
a brighter tune of hope "The Ever's"
Ever free
Ever being green
Ever more than ever
Ever lasting and laughing
Ever seeking the truth that you may find
Ever learning to feel what you can't know
Ever holding a soul when it quakes with fear
Ever sitting with silence as if it's a friend
Ever letting sorrow teach you how to survive
Ever blessing the cracks that helped you mend
Ever taking a full breath as the moments fly on by
Ever finding your flame where your shadow lies to you
Forever plucking forget-me-knots to cherish whatever they say
Nay say I
the cart
will not
be put
before the horse
wisdom as old as time
I will therefore
not
tacitly
or
overtly
tip the nod
in “bro” fashion
in support
of your comments
about your wife’s cooking
not until
I have dined at her table
and tasted her cooking
which
I am sure
cannot be
as bad
as you say it is
I am absolutely positive
that a woman
with legs and a figure like hers
will cook like an angel.
Most times, I feel just great.
Most times, I have nothing that aches.
Most times, I climb those stairs with gusto,
as the blood in my aging veins increases its flow.
Believe me when I say, "I've earned these stripes".
These creeping wrinkles on my neck;
These lines racing across my forehead;
These softening gums beneath my teeth;
These golden strings springing from my
head and hanging neatly from my chin;
All such is a part of the aging process.
Why, these are symbols of my golden years.
What on earth about them do I have to fear?
And although these eyes may be growing dem,
they bear no sadness nor tears of anguish.
My bride of 51 years continues to express her
desire to apply hair dye and wipe away my grey,
but I always gladly refuse and tell her nay.

Sometimes, in speech we stray
With what we rashly say,
While attention ears pay
Our lips allowed their way...
Worse when our mood is gay
Or we forgot to pray,
Now to Free Mistakes 'prey'
Listener's bright face turns grey.
Speech don't make like you may;
Cigar stubbed out on tray;
Some shall like donkeys bray,
Some end up in sick bay...
To reckless speech 'say nay'
You'd be sent the sun's ray...
For you Amblessed Daniel:
This game catch like spaniel.
meaner than greener
the other side of barb wire
open hands get cut

The first snowfall of the year arrived today
bringing fresh falling snow, it was time to play
snowballs went flying
Adam went crying
and the twins got a licking for just saying nay !
Immersed unprepared and unaware in the wrelm of torture, raised by the tormented and confused, told to smile while our cheeks are bruised, creating pariahs out of those who dare to say nay to the way of things ,how dare they not just sway with things while the sickest get away with things
first impression was great.
wonderful smile, enthusiastic,
glad to be hired, upbeat and positive.
second impression, more of the same.
fantastically caring, kind. Gets along with
all of the like-minded staff members.
third impression – friendly, honest, willing to
pitch in and do without much direction.
rumors swirled. She’s uppity; she thinks she
is all that; she is too confident.
TOO confident? I could not stop laughing.
When she thanked me for standing up
to the nay-sayers, I knew I was right.
rumors died a natural death of course
as there are more upbeats here than
downbeats.
because the downbeats are the loudest
does not mean they win.
Rise up and ignite the freedom fire
Save Democracy before it's gone
Republic about to be Empire
Orange Julius crossing Rubicon
Always be a blossom with fragrance-hue
Shaking thee in half a quake, from tip to toe,
Thy will be touched by a drop of soft dew
For continuity of nexus is our vow.
The blue-moon time that opens thine petal-lips-fresh
Can freeze the ocean; make the rock melt in joy-
Only a pace in Odyssey, an ingress
A perfect quintessence of life coy.
What is that inopportune that begins to shine?
Drops of silent tears running on morale cheeks.
Do evoke in the special time for grace-divine
As sun will rise after every doom night, so have frisk.
Peace and comity in gale we are to find
Kites always fly not with but against the wind.
Limerick: A hundred years ago, nay, fifty
A hundred years ago, nay, fifty
Who dared prod the female anatomy
Now men ride rough shod
On toll-free wide road
Ere steam-roller dries tar in a jiffy!

Isn't
it ironic
that the only
way I’d watch 50
Shades is if you tied me
to a chair and forced me to
Nay To The Hear Say I was at home
all night last night so I don't know
who that boy was they say was me
hanging all over that stranger at
some downtown pub but the rumors
stop here, is that clear they must just
be jealous of what we have 'cuz they've
never known the love we share...I'm sorry
if I sound like I don't care but the lies
stop here... darlin' you know I'd never
cheat on you after all we these years, my best
years spent working hard to build a solid
foundation with you but if you choose to
believe their lies then I guess you never knew
me...surely you know it's just idle gossip started
by some jealous somebody...well all I got to say
is Nay, Nay To The Hear Say!
He arrives dressed, so fine!
Bearing the sweetest of sweets;
His core is a confectionary treat,
Oh my, how I desire just one of his kisses…
Is he your beloved?
No my dear, he is my box of chocolates…
I love the scent of those
Crisp white shirts
Long or short sleeved;
Watching those button-fly jeans,
The way they sway in the breeze…
Oh yes, admittedly he wears them well.
Is he your beloved?
No my dear it’s my clothes line!
