Blue Morning Glory

Blue Morning Glory
opens her face to the sun.
She bathes in cold dew.

Morning Glory

A new day dawns,
A tired body yawns,
Spawning into reality,
I dream of things to be,
And what may lie in front of me,
As I play with with possibility,
Creating the day wish to see,
Secretly feeling my way,
Staying close to the heart,
I start seeing it all unfold,
Maybe I'll find some gold,
It's cold out there,
I'll find something to warm to wear,
Caring for all my needs,
my body feeds off the love,
Something it can't get enough of,
The sun shining from above,
Shoving light in every pore,
My entity screams for more,
It's charging your core,
With energy to explore,
Just what you came for,
Adventures awaiting your consent,
Now that you've opened your present,
Presenting gifts galore,
A world like never before,
Believe in yourself,
Then step out the door.

Painted Lady, Morning Glory

Early each morn
before the dawn
she primps and prettifies
shadows her eyes
plucks her brows
then brushes them back
with a non-complementing
brutal shade of black
lipstick applies
rouges her cheeks
powders her nose
lacquers her hair
files then paints her nails
fingers and toes
pampers places
it never shows
and every night
washes it all away
only to do it
go through it
all over again
exactly the same
at sunrise
the very next day

A songbird sings of morning glory,
twittering homage to Dawn's first light.
And ebony shadows fade to shade,
as they lose the protection of Night.

The sun rises from a scarlet shroud,
draping itself in a golden hue.
And climbing above Earth's eastern rim,
Sol paints the sky a robin egg blue.

Blood tints the clouds cotton candy pink,
as the heart of Night is pierced by Dawn.
And color is soon fully restored,
while dew sprinkles glitter on the lawn.

Butterflies and bumblebees awaken,
as a new day slowly fills with sound.
And Hope renews with every sunrise,
it's not lost; it's waiting to be found.

Morning Glory

The sun does rise; I open my eyes.
A new day has come; I stretch on my vine.
I spread myself to soak in the rays.
In quiet splendor, in silent praise.
A new day has come, I continue to bloom,
where I am planted, where I am true.
I follow the sun as it warms my face,
with its bright rays and warm embrace.
As the sun sets, I close up my bloom,
until another day starts up anew.

Morning glory

Morning glory _
From our car
Along the hilly path
Numerous they're
With the attention
of doing math
In their voice
A guitar
Colorful headgear
Off and on
mutual whispers
The Tea Pluckers

Mingled with the green
Humming and plucking
Unique discipline
Never a machine
Sometimes carrying
their babies on their backs
While moms work
Babies relax

In sun and shadows
Day after day
On substandard pay
Mostly illiterate
Inconsiderate employer
Do you feel a jerk?
In addition
unpaid domestic work
Through the ages
The same pages in the book
The same hook
Same tired look
No brook
Many a blade
No cascade

Delicate tea leaves
believe the tender hands
Just the touches
between the skins
No command
The soft tender stem
Approvingly expand
Smilingly withstands
The pain of being torn
Thorns of death
At the love-smeared hands
of mothers
Or lovers?
The Tea Pluckers

Premium Member Enjoy the Morning Glory

“Each morning is an invaluable gift- To be alive is a boon, to be able to stay healthy is a bonus, to enjoy love and beauty is bliss”- By Poet

Early morn, I wake up from my sleep,
Sensing on my cheeks, dawn’s first gentle kiss.
As the shroud of gloom is lifted off from earth’s face,
In my heart rises sweet whispers of bliss.

Yesterday’s mistakes, gone like vaporous nothings.
A calming peace gently overpowers my soul.
The air is crisp, quiet and pleasantly still.
The morn opens new scenes and vistas whole.

Flowers gently sway in the passing breeze.
Bees buzz around, not giving rest to tiny wings.
Coloured confetti fall from the Gulmohar tree.
Butterflies flit around as my soul in joy, sings.

Remember, how lucky we are to see another sunrise,
To savour what nature offers as an inestimable prize!

I this morning in glory be!

Please don't think this simplicity;

For my darling wife made for me,
A piping hot cup of tea.

Morning Glory

Heart that failed many times in love
Wished for a gift from up above
But destiny was harsh and tough
And the blow of the wind was rough

But one day, a poor soul in strife
Tried to find a new chance in life
He walked from distance faraway
Just to find his home to stay

And so they met one glorious morning
And tried to make a new beginning
The poor soul and the wounded heart
Together made a brand new start

It is seven a.m. and I thought I would just write, because the sun
woke me up, it’s so very bright!
My wish for today, is that I author some inspiring writes.

But first I must dress, make a lovely breakfast, that is my dream
and my opening delight!
To realize the earth is not bad, but it’s a true, blessed delight.

To bless everyone who today reads this simple poem.
And to welcome all, to read any one of my poems which
Resides here……in a my welcoming poetry home!

Thank you,
Pangie

Premium Member African Moonflower On a Moon Day

                      Moonflower with white trumpet-shaped bloom
Dewy emerald leaves surround in nights gloom.
Cased in rich soil beneath a quarter moon.
Planted vines loosely knit—by my bedroom they sit.
Sweet fragrance they emit— to incense I submit.
                      Stunning tropic morning glories amaze
Sunlight and moonlight upon them gaze.
Phantasmic nightlamps in jade landscape haze.
                      Night’s primrose, moonglow calls—unveiling enthralls.
                      Dangling shadowy shawls— glistening waterfalls
Flowery white faint lavender tones loom.
Oh sleepy Moon by day lucidly lit,
Behold twilight’s glimmer on garden’s walls:
Gibbous Moon’s gleam suspending in a daze.
