Blue Cow
Filtered through
Clouds above endure
Blue Cows
Mind wonderers
With no specific reasoning
Blue grass endeavors
Travel on crisp green grass bare-foot
Blue berries all around
Imaginary your own world
Blue cows everywhere
Painting blue outside the box
Poetry written your way
Write your own crazy story
Potential unfolds freely
Grow your own garden
Just be yourself
Plant soulful letters
No validation needed
Be free spirited
Blue cows through azure sun sets
Blue berries
And blue cows mooing

Super Souper 9-16-24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Super Souper
Super Soupers wrangle rhymes
into verses quite sublime
Taming wild-eyed metaphors
into iambic strophes galore
Lassoing doggy ironies
with clever lines, entendre ease
Galloping alliterations
corralled by personifications
Silencing cacophony
with gentle mooing euphony
Bucking wild imagery
herded into symmetry
Stampeding loco thin illusions
bulldogged into chutes of allusions
Bad hoss herds of assonance
saddled for a dressage dance
Bucking broncos hyperbole
Juxtaposed by analogy
Anaphoras on loco weed
settle into quatrain reads
Super Soupers let words rip
in rodeos of craftmanship.
We played a game amongst twisted trees
Then studied the decaying river bank
And as we crouched down onto our knees
Our paper boats sailed away and sank
We rolled around the blades of grass
So fresh and pea soup green
That shone in the sun like shards of glass
It was the happiest we’d ever been
My father spotted a Heron in flight
We watched in awe as it flapped its wings
Flying gracefully away till out of sight
Indescribable is the joy it brings
Across the river some cows had broke free
As they were clambering across the stones
They were in a place where they shouldn’t be
All mooing orchestrally with brassy tones
The arching bridge rose high across the water
Like a rainbow across a darkened sky
A man made feat using bricks and mortar
The safe corridor that kept us all dry
Then it was time to head back home
Hungry but full of beans
Children along the river love to roam
Anyway, any how and by any means
Mom and I liked to go on country drives,
she drove fast and I feared for our lives;
we got lost most of the time,
in lush scenery sublime;
Oh, don't worry ! 'Cause we always survives !
Down long winding roads many farms we passed,
but because they were a blur I looked fast;
we sped by brown mooing cows,
and startled farmers on ploughs;
later, I exclaimed . . . Mom that was a blast !
The chooks in the morning,
Up as early as the sun,
For a full day of eating, exploring,
A full day of fun,
The cow is loudly mooing,
As the sun shines through the blinds,
Her calves' cute frolicking,
Fills everyone's minds,
The ducks loud quacking,
As they rush out of their shed,
But one stays behind,
With her eggs on her bed,
The guinea pigs hiding,
As he gets his morning food,
Come back in three hours,
and it will all be chewed,
The gardens slowly growing,
As all the plants thrive,
The bees happily pollinate,
It's produce keeps us alive,
Our farm continues to flourish,
And grow, and grow, and grow,
The progress is beautiful,
Even if it's slow.
Old MacDonald had a farm
And all it had was cows
Their constant mooing brought them harm
…His wife went off the rails
She bumped them off in one fell swoop
And fed them though the grinder
But Old Macdonald wrote a plan
And popped it in a binder
At the bank the manager said,
“What’s your plan… in brief?”
Old Macdonald said, “It’s this…
I need to shift some beef!”
*
The manager inhaled and said,
“That’s quite a cutthroat game,
Your business plans are good as dead…
You’ll need a great new name.”
In the hot A-Ga-Ming night
My wife and I skip the July 4th fireworks
At the sandbar down south on long Torch Lake
Start our own shoreline fire
Count the red electrified dorsal fins
Of the motorboat salmon swimming upstream
Migrating home from the explosions in the sky
20, 50, 80 a hundred 200 in an hour
Rainbow tsunami
Our dock leans rickety to the covenant
Lake soothes its wrinkles when the madness is over
Our souls sit back in decrescendo
Take a deep breath
To the cows mooing
Pastures away on Cairn Highway
Like foghorns from the lighthouse perched on the moon
While picking machines convulse in the cherry orchards
Tree by tree to trampolines
Whining mosquitoes if our ears were the hills
Moon slips behind the blueberry clouds
Campfire snaps its fingers for attention
A cricket chirps just outside our circle of radiant rocks
I planted decades ago
Every year he’s here too
Chirping
Chirping
To the embers of the universe
Until he isn’t.
Many moms make a mishmash of marshmallow melon month of rites
Marmie and Magnus mined minx’s minestrone meatball mites
Magnificent Marmaduke mollycoddles minute rice making mush.
Merry majestic Mallificent minced magnetic mimosas in a rush.
Mushroom men marbled Marley’s meatballs mooing with madness.
Muddobber’s melancholy miniscule mites were wooing with sadness.
Magnificence of Manny’s marsh mediates in miniscule rites of badness.
Ma makse a mishmash of marshmallow melons, and it is pure rad-ness.
She feels like a cow in a chute
Following other bovine, mooing her displeasure
What is taking them so long up there?
Could they be stopped for a wreck?
On a bridge?
That’s just what she needs today
Moo, she says, moo!
She says it more loudly now,
makes it sound more like a bellow.
She hopes the guy ahead of her has his window down.
When cows are in a chute, do they know what’s going to happen?
And does it happen to all cows? Or just some cows?
The car in front of her inches up a few feet.
Good grief! She thinks to herself. I can crawl faster than this.
What is the hold up here?
Chaos and riots
Epidemics and wars
Confusion like tornado hurricane
Confinement, speechless, quiet, calm, rest and unspoken words
However people are drowned in the sounds of nature
Rattle of the rain
Whizzing of the wind
Rustling of the leaves
Wheedling of the birds
Chirping of the crickets
Echoing in the caves, jungles and mountains
Roaring of the sea
Murmuring of the stream
Buzzing of the bees
Hissing of the snake
Quacking of the ducks
Mooing of the cows
Woofing of the dogs
Groaning of the sick
Wheezing of the lungs
Humming of a lullaby
Grumbling of the oldies
Mourning of the dead
Sighing of the loser
Applause of the winner
Any other voices may be drowned
During this political, economic and epidemic crisis
Stay speechless ,calm and cool
As the ushering in of the Chinese New Year
Looking forward to a better year
Only melodies but no blasting or booming
Maybe some sounds buried in the wind
That's the voice of your heart
Stop violation, politicking, trafficking and hegemony
As the world
Is a part of everybody's legacy in a will
Although all along the world is speechless and unspoken
The blues black canvas
Night scares emerald
Blizzard's fire
Sunlight so dire
Cliff dwelling mountain goats
In the golden hour mooing like cows
While well endowed
Mountain town
Smoking a cig blackened stained grass
Earths on fire amidst Eden's waterfalls
Woman who doesn't have
fear of cockroach ...
man who supports
well the pain ...
Nervous to become silent,
shy to be super speaker ...
serious to smile,
unsmiling have
loose laughter ...
Listen to the snake chirp ...
Cow coughing and ox flying,
christened horse attend
the mass,
battle horse
to fight...
Jaguar do
the nails,
mooing bullfrog,
ancient cock command ...
Mooing oohing barnyard zooming
Loosy goosy is gently grooming.
True blue moon is choosing looming.
Sue Boo’s moose is rooster booming.
We are through with the foolishness of you two.
Come back in a month after you move in with McGoo
There’s no need for fu dog stew, nothing to prove.
This moony barn is frankly peaceful in its wonderful groove.
