Fairytale/Short Story contest
________

Old MacDonald had a farm
And all it had was cows
Their constant mooing brought them harm
…His wife went off the rails

She bumped them off in one fell swoop
And fed them though the grinder
But Old Macdonald wrote a plan
And popped it in a binder

At the bank the manager said,
“What’s your plan… in brief?”
Old Macdonald said, “It’s this…
I need to shift some beef!”

                      *

The manager inhaled and said,
“That’s quite a cutthroat game,
Your business plans are good as dead…
You’ll need a great new name.”

For some insane reason I am reminded of Ogden Nash's pithy two-liner: A cow is of the bovine ilk // One end moo, the other milk. ~ Pharmor Donald

Thanks, Richard. I didn’t really want that last stanza but I hated the thought of everyone muttering, “It’s Mc not Mac.” ;-)

I'm thinking the biggest bovine on his farm was his wife.

And no-one thought to ask why that first batch of burgers tasted a little different.

Hmmm… I’d better investigate those Chicken McNuggets.
