Role Models - Then and Now
In school when I was being raised
the role models who then were praised
were the American icons—
George Washington, “I cannot tell a lie”
Honest Abe, a straight-shooting kind of guy
Later we heard Jimmy Carter testify
“I’ll never tell a lie …”
For my generation and prior
they raised the bar higher
Honesty was the best policy
That was then
This is now …
When

Genocide Blues
To his Hungarian Jewish village, Moses returned
Atrocities were dismissed, his warnings spurned
He described Jews buried in ditches, gave details to persuade:
Agonized children, naked corpses, but the villagers were not swayed
Moses was diagnosed by his listeners as mad
He shouted, "Listen to me", but the wall was ironclad
He asked, "where are all the people who went with

AI Models Collapse to Babel Babble Rabble
AI is the ultimate plagiarist
mimicking patterns in human devised data.
Its models needs training on high quality data,
billions and billions of bits and bytes
of high-quality human derived thoughts and information.
But, AI output, with its hallucinations and flaws,
now has begun to flood into the data sources themselves.
Just like inbreeding,
the training becomes regurgitative,
feeding off its own

I Cry For The Children
I cry for the boys who just need to be left to be themselves
To play and explore, take risks and learn the hard way
With peers, and fathers and grandfathers
Getting the role models they need and deserve
From actual males and not the nurturing females
Who are now head of almost half of all households
And more than three

Awon Egbon Oniwe
Role models they are, guiding lights so bright,
In their footsteps, I find my own path, day and night.
A man of food, a culinary passion I hold dear,
Nourishing souls with flavors that bring cheer.
Brilliancy and intelligence, they're not achieved alone,
Books and food, the foundations they've shown.
Egbon Oniwe, books are vital, knowledge they bring,
But food also sustains,

Being Role Models
As
Love shines
Our hearts in
The World mostly,
Some bad people keep
Seing the fruits of Holy
Spirit daily and change their
Lives... I mean being role models
Of other people who don't believe
In Lord Christ Jesus our only Saviour.

Unique
The one who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. Those who walk alone are likely to find themselves in places no one has ever seen before." -. (Quote by Albert Einstein)

May: Model Airplanes
Now it's May...as in 'Month Merry'
We look outside and see it's very
Bright and warm and dry and can
With confidence those flights we'll plan!
We'll dust off winders, and wind rubber
Or fire up engines too long dormant
Props then will throw air in torrents
So our builds go up and forward!
Young birdlings will soon fledge and fly
Our builds will

Mindbang
We’re shape-shifting, my roommates and I. Transitioning mentally from freshmen and sophomores (nobodies) into juniors (somebodies). We’ve been around, we’re not the new kids anymore. We’re being seen and appreciated. It’s a mindbang.
There was a coolike girl, Kathleen, who was a senior when I was a freshman. I had a mad, mad envy-crush on her.

A Models Likeness
A bruised heart scorned, sacred vows of a saint, sorrows of
unrequited lovers—art is what you paint—I Am Anaya
A Models Likeness
Hues of magentas and white acrylic silky spells
Vibrant colors mixed from his palette he evokes
Swept over again ‘til emerging shades of eggshells
He has an ability to convey a sense of deep melancholy
and yearning in

Derelict
He walks with a limp, dog in tow,
lives on streets, 'neath an azure sky
says, "Morning," with smiles as he goes
Wears logo, "Like you, I could fly."
but people compartmentalize.
He's one of the derelict crowd,
some say they must be disallowed.
Kindness calls us to contemplate
what they go through, no longer proud
with mishaps, we may own same

Role Models
Here’s how you do it
Let me show you
Be it art, music, or carpentry
A role model is key
Yet when it comes to parenting
Not every parent shows
For not every parent is qualified
As their children all too well know

The Cats Dream
*** THE CATS DREAM ***
The cats snuggling dream
Of turning through the music between stars…
Of their fur transformed to feathers…
Of a time past when
Brought to ballet class
They danced for the great George Balanchine —
As living models
Jumping high, high to
The peaking of their
Seeming so easily springing leaps…
To tap noses to his fingers
Then hang as if landed

Models of Old
I nurse a dream of being a poet
Writing like Frosts, Shakespeares and Poes
Yet each glance at old works of poets
Sees my tall dream standing on its toe
Reading the lines so old and new
I marvel at arts which sweet words paint
How so subtle their sharp curves hue
Fair etiquettes on a soulful chant
I stand before

Models of Reality In Religion
The “existence of God” can’t be proven by Science.
Since man’s reasoning seems to run God off the rails.
There’s the alternate view that “the world just exists,”
But whatever your take, devil lives in details.
How can God truly be the creator of all
Without Nature revealing the heart of His plan?
That the Bible purports to do so still
