Those Ramp Models

Fashion cover girls these days
 make me sick,
All haggard and thin, 
they look like .bean poles 
Picking on South Beach diets
 to trim flat waists         
Do they have a life
 'midst those surgical lifts?
I wonder if they cover up
bulimia blues with false lashes--
And party till sun up
 to look doe-eyed come photo shoots!

Yes the media puts too much pressure in the wrong direction.Many of the models We see are thin as toothpicks and look unhealthy.In my opinion beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,and though the body keeps changing its the inner beauty of a person which remains the same.A great message here dear Nettie.

This poem made me smile, because I know that every word of it is true! They say it's what's on the inside that counts, and I could not agree more! This is all too true my friend, people look at these thin toothpicks and think that's what you're supposed to look look like, well that is definitely NOT true, you are supposed to look like just the way you are, and people will love you that way! My mother has more weight than three of these these models, does that mean I don't like her any more than before, NEVER! So bravo in writing this awesome write Nette, I am proud that you have written this illustrious poem my friend! Great Work!!
