THE JOURNEY OF LOVE BY OLADELE MARYAM

THE JOURNEY OF LOVE
               BY
OLADELE MARYAM

Every night
My heart belongs to you
Under the moonlight of love befall us.

Every night,
I feel you in my heart
Under the fading sunlight and shade
That clouded twilight and evening bell

Every night
I fill your warmth
Like a gentle breeze
In the middle of the night

Every night
Your heart the only voice
That softens my ear
Under the glowing sky and the sparkling moon
My heart is an antenna
Searching for the wave of your love

II
Ololufe
I have left the world to meet you
Under the cloudy lane
Separating the heaven and the earth
I sought love in the wrong place
Alas!
Nature dealt with me
All I see now are strange faces
And recovery is slow and steady

Ololufe
Without you,
Every smile is futile
No response to funny jokes
Like a dirge for a tragic death

Ololufe
Our memories filled my mind
Our kisses and hugs are like an ancient tale
Retold to the young one under the moonlight
My heart felt disturbed and poisoned
For I never imagined
Our love shall one day crossover.

A New Start

Plans for life at a prolonged range
Where everything is glebe strange.

No more strain prompted from the past
I have concealed it fully at long last.

Memories of mine for what I've been
I sanctified that filthy slate clean.

Expeditiously, I will be among the few
I look forward to my hereafter new.

Soon all flashbacks will get depart
I will have recourse to A NEW STAR.

An Important Mail

This is an important mail sent to myself,
With my notebook & pen which is always there in my shelf,

Only do the work which makes you happy,
Sometimes  stay away from your phone as well as your lappy.

Make a blissful zone and keep yourself warm,
Keep away from negative vibes who may let you harm.

Just go outside to enjoy your life
Drink hot tea and do your strife.

Premium Member Earth Day's Easter Dawn

The one who spots the line
before spotting the bait
is the ultimate winner in life.
Rumi (Maryam Mafi translation)

The ones who spot Earth Day's decomposing line
before spotting Easter morning's ReGenesis bait
are our mutual messiahs in full living.

Each dawn reincarnates Earth Day
as Easter morning's karmic revolution.

Eastern minds dream of humane fleeing flying,
too often frying, frogs
while Western brains cooperatively
comprehensively
swim through red sky warnings
regenerating Western horizons
fading full-moon Yin
to more simply rest in NOW
and dream of mutually mentoring messiahs'
Eastern dawn
of Polycultured Tao,
fractured Frog Princes croaking songs
for long-strung graceful Princess ovations
recreating East-West harmonies
for NorthWinter through SouthSummer
weathering Earth Day Opera.

Red sky Earth Days
regenerate
green horizon Easter Genesis.

My Dolls

To My daughters Loubabatoul Koubra, Halima Saadiya and Maryam Jamilah

A knock on the door
Shouts from the inside
All the three running
To swoon over my knees
Laughing my lovely
Daughters
The gate to paradise
The gift from
The Messenger,
My lifelong model.

On This Bench

On this bench, we spoke
Of our love without end
It was a love of a light yoke
An easy burden without a bend

On this bench, we played chess
We laughed and we ate
We shared essence and success
So many nights we stood late

On this bench we rocked
passions
Our tryst was here
We dreamt on each other laps,
visions
Now you are there.

On this bench, here I am
And you, a past
How could I forget you, Maryam?
For this bench will always be to
cast.

Samira

SAMIRA

Samira,
The beauty of 3 arts
General with elegance,
Enigma without resemblance
You should have called
Before you left this earth,
Cousin to Maryam, owner of
My heart.
Ha Samira believer of Mosha
I loved your dressings during
Socials,
I recollect the afternoon you
Said I should never be sober,
I wish I saw death hanging on
Your shoulders,
Tell me why tears shouldn't be
My roster?
Too early call, no reason to
Rejoice
I now fear this air
I don't know when she will stop
Been my friend,
Keep me among the dead
Everyone has a place of rest.
No ceremony for the dead.
Rest Samira Jibril.

New Dreams

The ending of an old week
the beginning of a new month
and the memories of an old hour.

The dawning of a new day
the setting of an old sun
and the rising of a new star.

A perfect year has begun
your dreams lay not afar.

Start it with a smile
and make this coming year
a year worthwhile!

Hey people...soooo sorry I wasn't here to read all of your lovely poems in a long while,
I've been really busy with school....I wish you all a happy new year and I hope it brings
lots more wonderful poetry as well....I missed you all!....:).......love always, Maryam

Congratulations!

A new life, a new road
lies just ahead
the air now painted
in a soft shiny red

Doors that were locked
and the keys were never there
today is the day
they suddenly appear

Precious moments
of joy and happiness
awaits you now
in your togetherness

The bond of love
that lies in your hearts
shall defeat all troubles
like flying darts

These two hearts
shall now beat as one
shining together
as bright as the sun

A special journey begins
on this wonderful day
so congratulations to you
I would like to say.

Dedicated to my friends Asma and Musab who are getting married on the 12th of this month.

The Box

A red rose tied
across the top
of the tiny box
that lay in your hand

My heart skipped a beat
a hundred times twice
as you slowly walked
the path toward me

A smile appeared
across your face
as you lifted the lid
of the tiny box

Inside it lay
golden earrings

Those earrings, that day
wrote the song
the love bird sings.

Dedicated to a special one.....Always Maryam*

Hidden Truth

Hidden Truth

The truth is not told
from the way I look
cause inside my head
confusion's a cook.

It's boiling, steaming
and scattered all around
It's sizzling, bubbling
and no peace found.

It's questions unanswered
and fearing to ask
It's truths to tell
but too hard a task.

It's words unsaid
in fear of the tongue
and smiles to share
inside deep down.

It's feelings to reveal
direct from the heart
and anger to let go
like a piercing dart.

It's all these things
locked up inside
fearing to leave
the place they hide.

Dedicated to all those quiet people who keep there feelings locked up inside."I know how
you feel".......love Maryam*
