LONELINESS BY OLADELE MARYAM

Friend
Twilight and evening bell
Jingling and screaming like a rose of jungle
Then came a gentle breeze tap behind my gentle skin
Alas!
There stood my helper
And journey through the memory lane
But I ignored for I believe my time has gone long ago.
And stood there my helper,
A man like Angel
A beautiful one at that!
Every woman's dream and imagination
An angel and a savior.

Then a sharp pain arouse in me
I shall not die as foolish lovers do
Near, far wherever you are
I believe that my heart linger
Though hitching heart takes time to heal
But my angel never give up
It's like he was made for me
Though my mind and heart won't let me rest
Thinking about him gives me goosebumps
Looking at him makes my blood boil
But I disagree with my heart
For am afraid of another rejection
The more closer the less my pain
Being with him melt all my worries away
I feel at ease when with him
Though I didn't understand my feelings
Nor wish to define my looks for him
When with him, all eyes became jealous of me
Wishing he were theirs not mine.

Friend
Like eventide that bear the ancient tales
The moon came out beautiful and unique
We sat on the tree under the moonlight
Our hearts keep whispering
I felt nervous, then his heart spoke through his mouth
My mind and heart keeps racing
My emotions are naked
Taking me out of my mind.

Friend
I feel the silence of love
The moonlight birds won't stop singing
I wish I could pretend not to hear their song
But my ear could not agreeing with me.
Nightingale!
Bird of comfort, his song calm my mind
But not for long.
A feeling I never felt arouse in me
Then in my weakness, I found my strength
And found myself in a pool of love
A new day has come
Brought a new light to my life
My entire life, I was finally someone's dream
His love for me was like a stream of ocean
He is a mystery I want to solve
My world feel at ease when with him
An angel created for me
My days were filled with happiness and love
A dream never seen nor feel came true.

What Is Islam

I'm sorry for bothering , but you must read this:

Islam is the religion that comes after Christianity , and just as Christians have the bible as their book. Islam have Holy Qur'an as their book.

If you read Holy Qur'an, you will see it has things in common like the names of prophets and part of their stories. For example prophet Noah (may peace be upon him) the one who built the Arc ,,,,In Holy Qur'an it is mentioned that he was a good man.

Islam told us about prophet Jesus miracles and his mother Mariam and the corrupted people who didn't accept Jesus as the Messiah.

In Islam we have Friday prayers....Just as Christians goes to Sunday prayers.

My questions:
1-Why did God (Allah) sent another prophet after Jesus?
2-Why there is a religion named Islam comes after Christianity?
3-Why this particular religion "Islam" Have some things in common with the religions of God (Judaism,Christianity,...)

My answer:
1-God in Islam told us about him self that he is one only not 3 in 1 and certainly don't have a sun or a wife or a brother.
2-As I read some of the bible and I'm a Muslim...There was minor differences and major differences. The Major difference between Islam and Christianity is that Muslims believe that God (Allah) is one only one and there is nothing like it.
God says in Surat Maryam:
(It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it "Be", and it is.)

3-Why Islam have so things in common with the religion of God(Allah)
Because it came from the same God...The only God (Allah).

Regards, I hope you seek the truth. (^^)

23 Lines of Poetry About Me

My name is “Maryam”, the name of the Prophet Jesus’ mother.
Alhamdulillah I’m a wife of a medical doctor.
I was born in Saudi Arabia in nineteen eighty six.
The language I use, since birth, e’en with my parents is English.
Alhamdulillah with them I’ve traveled to many countries –
From Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Egyptian pyramids,
Cool countries like England and France, Denmark and U. S. of A.
Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia where we once planned to stay.
I believe in Allah, I always seek knowledge of Islam,
I love reading Islamic books and teach Islam when I can,
I too enjoy poetry –have been writing since my early teens.
Had a few writings published in a Saudi Fun Times magazine.
I’m friendly in general. I don’t start fights for no reason.
You can tell I dislike someone when I snub or avoid them.
I’m against suicide bombings, against all acts of injustice.
I love the Messenger Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) and all of God’s Prophets like Jesus and Moses.
I believe that silence is better than constant chit-chatting,
And that enjoining good deeds is better than simply sighing.
I believe that when someone is rude to you they’re just jealous,
And sticking to Islam and good manners is always a must.
If my friends from school were to see me they’d think I’ve changed so much –
Many things I’ve abandoned and wrongdoings my limbs once touched.
I am Maryam –a Muslim and a friend you can always trust.

Mother

A banyan tree that shields from tropical summer sun
A symbol of selfless love and sacrifice
A preserver of values that modernism has shun
No praise is enough, no gratitude suffice

Her love for her children is like blossom of springs
An angel she appears, a fairy she seems
It’s a symphony for ears, the lullaby she sings
The lullaby that drifts you in the valley of dreams

A teacher, a guide, a philosopher, a friend
An architect, a builder of beauty and grace
A garden of roses that fragrance send
Serenity of a lake where ducklings race

She suckles her babies with white blood of breasts
The hearts yearn for her bosom’s paradise
She strains every nerve, sacrifices her rests
Burning midnight oil with sleepy eyes

The special mothers that God has blessed
Maryam, Khadija, Fatema and Asiya
Women par excellence, mothers at best
Whether in Africa, Asia or the West

Mothers are an oasis in the desert of life
Their love and passion isn’t for display
Chained to the oar in your perils and strife
A shower of rain on a hot summer day
                           ***
(Dedicated to my mother Begum Najmunnesa, who left me alone in this world at the age of twelve and all the mothers whatever caste, creed, colour, religion and nationality they are. I salute them all)

Fellow Soupers

My friends My friends
The ones who tell me when my poetry is bad
The ones who give me hugs when I'm down
My friends My friends

You have helped me blossom
Into the world of poetry
Letting me explore my creativity
And see the ways of others

Sharing your own works
Giving helpful suggestions
Soup Mailing when a talk was needed
Chatting and laughing like old friends

When the people in world
Didn't seem so supportive
Of my dreams to become a poet
You were there, and you lifted me up

Helping me see a new perspective
You let me know I wasn't alone
Constructing me a path
With many freedoms

Now as I work towards getting published
With the help of my family at that
I must thank my fellow soupers
Without you I wouldn't be where I am

My friends My friends
You've truly helped me see
All that I can be
My friends My friends

Thanks so much, for all you have done to help me see what I can achieve. I am working with the help of my
family on getting published now, and I believe a great much of it is owed to you. I'd especially like to thank,
Carolyn Devonshire, Maryam J. Haniff, Breana Wiggins, Tyesha Ehigiator, John Loving iii, Christopher
Ferguson, Derrick Burton, and Alli B. I couldn't have done it without all of your support. Thanks again!

motto of the Queen ('God and my right').

THE JOURNEY OF LOVE BY OLADELE MARYAM

THE JOURNEY OF LOVE
               BY
OLADELE MARYAM

Every night
My heart belongs to you
Under the moonlight of love befall us.

Every night,
I feel you in my heart
Under the fading sunlight and shade
That clouded twilight and evening bell

Every night
I fill your warmth
Like a gentle breeze
In the middle of the night

Every night
Your heart the only voice
That softens my ear
Under the glowing sky and the sparkling moon
My heart is an antenna
Searching for the wave of your love

II
Ololufe
I have left the world to meet you
Under the cloudy lane
Separating the heaven and the earth
I sought love in the wrong place
Alas!
Nature dealt with me
All I see now are strange faces
And recovery is slow and steady

Ololufe
Without you,
Every smile is futile
No response to funny jokes
Like a dirge for a tragic death

Ololufe
Our memories filled my mind
Our kisses and hugs are like an ancient tale
Retold to the young one under the moonlight
My heart felt disturbed and poisoned
For I never imagined
Our love shall one day crossover.

Blind and Deaf

Blind and Deaf

To never see the world
to never hear a sound
always having
to feel my way around

To never see my mother
father or brother
to never hear them say a word
is like hanging for life, on the thinnest cord

To never hear my voice
to never see my face
is like living
without a trace

For me
nothing is ever clear
the world is filled
with darkness and fear

What is the sunset?
I do not know
for in my world, it will never show

What is music?
how does it sound?
it's something in my world
I've never found
and, never will

My world is silent, and always black
but courage is something, I do not lack

On my heart, lies a wish that's true
wishing to see the world, as clear as you.

Authors note: Just a reminder of how precious our sight and hearing is. It is truly a
wondrous gift, we must all be thankful for ......In honor of Helen Keller.......Always Maryam

Premium Member Earth Day's Easter Dawn

The one who spots the line
before spotting the bait
is the ultimate winner in life.
Rumi (Maryam Mafi translation)

The ones who spot Earth Day's decomposing line
before spotting Easter morning's ReGenesis bait
are our mutual messiahs in full living.

Each dawn reincarnates Earth Day
as Easter morning's karmic revolution.

Eastern minds dream of humane fleeing flying,
too often frying, frogs
while Western brains cooperatively
comprehensively
swim through red sky warnings
regenerating Western horizons
fading full-moon Yin
to more simply rest in NOW
and dream of mutually mentoring messiahs'
Eastern dawn
of Polycultured Tao,
fractured Frog Princes croaking songs
for long-strung graceful Princess ovations
recreating East-West harmonies
for NorthWinter through SouthSummer
weathering Earth Day Opera.

Red sky Earth Days
regenerate
green horizon Easter Genesis.

Congratulations!

A new life, a new road
lies just ahead
the air now painted
in a soft shiny red

Doors that were locked
and the keys were never there
today is the day
they suddenly appear

Precious moments
of joy and happiness
awaits you now
in your togetherness

The bond of love
that lies in your hearts
shall defeat all troubles
like flying darts

These two hearts
shall now beat as one
shining together
as bright as the sun

A special journey begins
on this wonderful day
so congratulations to you
I would like to say.

Dedicated to my friends Asma and Musab who are getting married on the 12th of this month.
"I wish you endless joy and forever happiness".....love n smiles Maryam*
