I saw my yesterday's love today,
on a quiet, shady, backstreet lane.
I knew his eyes, though his hair was grey,
said he'd forgotten my married name

Or would have called me when moving back
to see how life had been treating me.
Just words said to fill memory's lack
Smiling, we talked a moment or three

Then we hugged and each went on our way,
and I thought how easily our romance,
we dreamed would last forever and a day,
became a passing meeting by chance.
On an ordinary summer day.

Promises not clasped closely in hand
can slip away like but grains of sand

A boy will make you
think he’s in love with you
When he really isn’t.

A girl will make you
think that she doesn't love you
when she really does.

Premium Member Do Not Dash

Love doesn't dash, it loiters -
with repeated movements like music
and beautifully crude endearments.

Love does't dash, it lingers
with rhythms like dance
and boastfully rude aphorisms.

So dally my love - lollygag,
lounge and we'll share breaths
and mess about.

Desired Love

My mother instilled a desire in me
A desire for love and connection
I wish I didn’t need this slight dependency
But it’s far too late for correction
So whoever you are out there
We’ll meet and into your eyes, I’ll stare

Many adults believe teens are not capable of love
We just want a fling or someone to claim as property
Am I not allowed to be deep instead of keeping my head above?
For I want my heart to be a victim of robbery
Whoever you are, you’re a thief
With a beautiful smile of shiny teeth

I want this love to have a gravitational pull
The love burning like Earth’s core
It is rooted in the ground and keeps our hearts full
And I’ll die knowing it’s you I adore
Instead of fear, I’ll be content
Because it’s our love and we’ll be laying in it

School Girl Crush

I walk by you at school.
Hoping you think I'm cool.
Trying to not be a fool.
The beauty that runs through my mind.
Makes me think I'm blind.
Because I'm focused on one thing.
That's the daughter of a king.
Wanting to be the one to give you a ring.
But I'm just a weird guy that thinks I can sing.
I don't go down the wrong road.
I go down the long road.
Hoping someday you'll be mine.
Your the sun that shines.
I may not be perfection.
But I'll be your protection.
Just give me one chance.
And I'll take ya to a dance.
I'm a real man.
I don't play in a band.
But I live on land.
I'm a gentleman.
Without a letterman.
I may be known.
While I pick up the phone.
I'm not popular.
I own a dollar.
My niece is a toddler.
I'm on instagram.
Thinking about jelly jam.
I'm about to go to bed.
Don't bump your head.
It'll turn red.
Night
Don't start a fight.
That's not right.

I Want To Tell You My Secrets

We have been together
Since I could remember
Telling all of my secrets to him
Always playing around
Teasing all the neighbors
Playing hide-and-seek
Running up to the hill

Then when we are in high school
Everything have not been the same
We have been distancing ourselves
Drifted apart from one another
I can no longer tell you my secrets
Though I want to tell you all of my secrets
But you became one of them instead

Heart

She hallowed out her heart again,
She tore out all the black.
Then scraped the walls with her bare hands,
Until she reached the back.
She washed off all the rusted screws,
And broken veins, and pounding wounds.
She tried to make sense of this scene,
But honestly, she could not think.
She knew she had to start fresh,
But in her chest was left a mess.
But in her hands was left the flesh,
Of memories and secrets kept.

I Think Your the One

I think you’re the one, every time I see you. I never knew how much I could love somebody. But now I do know and it feels good to tell you how I really feel about you, you make my heart sing when you hug me tightly. You make my heart melt when you whisper in my ear. I love it when you whisper in my ear and say everything will be okay when I’m crying in your arms. I love how you don’t care what anybody else says about us being together. I love you forever and always. I think you’re the one I want to marry I say this not as a joke I say because I feel like you really care and love me for me and you don’t care how crazy, dorky, weird I am... I love how you love me for me and don’t say anything about my stupid things I pick to do, I love you baby. :)

Am I Letting Her Get Away

I'm worried I'm letting it pass
Her heart for me to grasp
We're set to dance on homecoming night
But that's the future, the present is not right

We rarely talk, i don't know what to say
No time together, she works everyday
I yearn for the closeness, the union of two
And yet she's so far, what should i do

I will get her a present
And put it on her desk
A birthday card with my signature
And a note where i confess

Should i tell her i want her?
To be mine this year
Not just for homecoming
But to have her always near

Maybe then things will change
And I'll have her as mine
My sweet lady
Together for a time

Day To Day

Revealed to me on this day of gray
Where my thoughts to tend to stray
What desires I seek out most
And how best about them boast

For within this hour I seek your grace
In hopes it would bring me your face
So that we could simply speak
Before my passion does grow weak

Though immortal it may be
This love of mine does still bleed
Not with blood or liquid gooze
But with words the feelings ooze

And since with me you are not
I write these words lest they be forgot
For so much must go unsaid
And forever repeat within my head

The Girl I Love

It seems so long that I must look
Among most girls, their attraction lures
But with this sight my angst does unhook
And my eyes do end their tours
The unpolished cover of your book
To suddenly turn judgment yours

As it is with great surprise
Be my expectations tragic
The cover had deceived my eyes
For these pages are but magic

Alas to Hogwarts I do not go
And to you I am a stranger
So shall I choose a book I know?
For your wonders surpass Hermione Granger

So to Panem I must take flight
As my envy does glow green
And in the Hunger Games shall I fight
For with a fire you tend to glean
I mere Peeta to thy sight
And you Ms. Everdeen

And though I not think it right
To compare the’ to what I hate
But for you I mention slight, the book, Twilight
Within its pages my affection’s fate, for with Jacob they relate

And so for you my Bella Swan
That I must assume a friend
And like Edward seek my presence gone
Loving you until the end.

Set down your book I do so wary
And reference now a great ballet
For in my arms I long to carry
And with great poise dance away
Me, a nutcracker prince, and you my sugar plum fairy.

An Insecure Proclamation of Love

Shall I speak of the’ in flattering verse?
Or will the words cause your lips to purse?
For these attributes that you display
Stir affection my heart must obey
As every time your smile gleams
With my eyes your joy is seen
And with each laugh, your inner child shows
So with the sound my desire goes
And when this child’s dramatic fury throws
My amusement with her grows
Though my levity, you appreciate not
It’s the best way to show my love I’ve got.
For from my ears my words do come
As it is your mouth they spawn from
But my agitation dares not persist
For your tears I’d loath assist
But when your tears do freely flow
To my arms I wish you’d go
So that I might cast your tears away
And be forever your hero for that day
And if in my arms you should wish to dwell
My restless heart your warmth would quell
For my desire I am too weak
But together, yours we will seek.

Insane Design

Don’t know him at all, not really
Nor how I feel about him, actually
But that’s alright,
A snippet of laughter, maybe a moment or two
Isn’t that enough?
Isn’t that just about enough, for now?

I can be all optimistic,
And feel that he is someone I can trust someday,
But what good will it do me today?

Or, I can be a pessimist,
And fear he might turn out to be a monster,
Hurt me in new ways; make me feel like a fool someday.
But what good, pray tell, will it do me today?

Maybe I should just be philosophical,
And believe that we cross paths with people for a reason
It’s part of some great insane design
So I should sit back,
Wait, watch how the planets align.

Quite possible, that this is nothing, really
Something that doesn’t hold any meaning, actually.
Someone who will become less than a faint memory someday.
Though what good indeed, will it do me today?

Maybe I think too much,
Assign meanings, interpretations to things which have none,
Mistake for reality the stories I have myself spun.
Maybe I should just try and have fun
Isn’t that enough?
Isn’t that just about enough, for now?

Late Valentine

You are a beauty with no comparison
Your smile is amazing and your body so feminine
The short and few moments i had when i looked in your eyes
Made me think of an angel in disguise

Your face and smile are always in my mind
You amaze me on how you're always so kind
Every time i walk pass you i get a rush of energy
It's not hard to tell that you're important to me

With you i would love to spend some more time
In hopes that one day you will be mine
I know that it's late but you know the next line
Beautiful lady will you be my Valentine.(Is it 2 late 2 give it to her?)

The Love You Give

You are not like those other boys who hurt me;
I think I love you, but I’m scared to love…
If only pain left here would leave me be;
The heart inside me is tender like dove…

I can feel your love knocking at the door!
I see what you show and yes, that I know,
And yes I know it’s so much more in store…
The love shown is soft and tender like snow…

I’m scared of love because of its past life,
But I seem to think of you every night…
You treat me like I’m your future wife…
This whole relationship just feels so right!

The love I get from you is so clever;
I wish I could make it last forever…
