I have a friend named Donald who just came home. For four long years it's been a reincarnation of Rome.
My friend has ideas for a country in need. Donald is the man for the job, indeed.
I live among people who claim he is bad. These same people find joy in executing the child of a future dad.
It's been a long time and I'm happy to know there are planes ready to go south to Mexico.
Keep your chin up as we can be proud
The silent majority on paper were loud.

A, I did not have time to talk to you about my ill fate.
It seems nice but I think it is a curse for me this year.
It has been 5 years since you were gone,
Although I do not feel missing you as I used to,
But it did not mean I love you any less.
I am upset that I did not love you as much as I should.
I suppose, one only learns how much one was lucky until one lost it.
I took for granted you would always love me
And I would be loved and cared forever.
Would you bless me to have wisdom,
Energy, time and love for my sons.
Whom you also loved as your grand children.
Even when you never have a chance to meet them.
I was grateful for your kindness, respect and
Treated me differently to the rest of the women in your life.

a lost friend
I refuse to cry over lost friends
I`m drunk too
It feels good to up the anchor of sobriety
Let alcohol give winds to my sails.
I`m a clipper buying tea in China
not useless toys
Sleek the line, the women admired me
let the clipper sail
I don`t care
I will stay here and
make love to you.
I`m sorry I left you, my Liverpool girl
I went to Brazil to harvest coffee beans
Guatemala I got there by chance
the beach in the moonlight
I have not forgotten my promises
one day more, just one day more
but the ship always sails to other shores
and I never got to write
the poem of my life

Don't look to the past for it's long gone,
Wed must face the present and move on.
Memories that take us to another time,
A time that only lies in the backroads of our minds.
We must move on to a new place and time,
Where the past and the present will one day combine.
Where dreams and reality move closer and together they will blend,
To be welcomed by the future like a long lost friend.,

it was her depression
that drove her to despair
which caused her death
that dreary night
the scent of rose lingers
from her grave now
as she is left alone once more
in the dark cold ground
a woman caught between
love and hate

i dreamt of you when you weren't looking
i imagined a world better then sulking
when we would live in the shadows of the world
i dreamt that you arose above it all.
i dreamt that we were happy with lots of money
only dollar signs give me a sense of dopamine
you probably wanted that but you didn't
you wanted a life without my prison.
and all the friends i had, i dreamed we lived in castles
and all the problems we couldn't fix i dreamed we found the answer
i wanted you to be happy but maybe that wasn't true
i wanted you to be happy when i was around you.
years later we are so distanced
and i saw from my phone that you had arisen
you have now a life i dreamt you could have
and i see now your good is separated from my bad.
i dreamt of you when you weren't with me
and i see now it was just premonition
and maybe if i am a genie
i shouldv'e fulfilled my own wishes.

Does anyone know why Heidi Sands has gone silent?
Her comments are there, but everything else is private…
My heart is broken to see her this way,
I miss our communication, why has she gone astray?
A beautiful poetess, whose poems were blossoming,
Our conversations were an awesome thing…
The only one here at the soup to give me a tribute,
To me it is a mystery, it does not compute!
My last call for lonely hearts, like me;
To call Heidi back communicating the way it used to be…
It’s like missing a limb to have her gone,
I know she has had a rough life and keeps hanging on…
Heidi, if you see this we miss you girl,
Come back to us like before you poetic pearl.
...she continues to write...but for some reason has turned off commenting and soupmail...

I relied on him then
To have my back until the end
For you need a mate
Who will be there for whatever date
But in the end it didn’t happen
He decided our friendship would end
And so when I think of him now
The question is why and how.

A friend left this
place
not to long ago…
he was…
a kind, gentle, endearing
man
with a heart made of
gold
now some may see it
un-masculine
but I am not ashamed to
say
that I have had great thoughts
for this man
and loved him in
every way

When I was in elementary school a young girl had ask me to write her some poetry, as I gave her a funny look and said to her goodbye and I will try. At only seven years old I did not know what was poetry, I asked my friends and none did know what was poetry. When I went home I had asked my father what was poetry he told me to write some words that mean a lot to me.
I thought and I thought of what to write that night and thought of some words that meant a lot to me, I wrote and I wrote these words down and that was my poetry. The very next day I saw this girl and she had asked me, did you write me some poetry? I said yes I did so proud was I and she said, could you please read it to me?
I had sat her down right next to me and read her my poetry and this is what it said: These are the words that mean a lot to me, a new bike, a model plane, a new basket for my hoop but the best word that I could think of is: You! She smiled and kissed me on the cheek and my face turned bright red she then became my best friend and it seemed it would never end, until she moved away and I have not seen her until that last day, that we said goodbye, Debbie I will forever miss you, my lost friend.

They say Love is blind,
So, it is up to us to recognize it when we see it,
Yet even those with 20/20 vision seem to struggle,
To see the golden glow that surrounds it,
Or hear it playing their theme song,
They even fail to feel the arrows Cupid lets loose in Love's name.
With this in mind,
And if you are one of the lucky few,
Who was gifted the ability to greet Love like a long-lost friend,
Don't be shy,
Love is a party animal,
And needs others beside yourself to bask in its glow,
To grow.

I had seen this girl around my workplace,
one day she handled a problem with grace.
We were nurses and things could get nasty,
and this was no place to get all sassy!
I complimented her and then we talked,
and on our breaks in the park we walked.
The flame of friendship ignited in us,
our spirits entwined like twin blazes, yes!
We became a beautiful matching pair,
with a special friendship so very rare.
Then the unthinkable- she had to leave,
gone my counterpart and chum, Genevieve!
Oh, I was filled with sadness and deep loss,
and I wept and wept for my sweet friend lost.
Who would listen to my poems eyes closed,
and I had made her a lover of vintage old!
When she left I was in a dark chasm,
it will took a long time to find my awesome.
I never heard from her ever, ever again.
How could she not look back? How do I mend?

A Long-Lost Friend
Dedicated to Chippewa Lake Park
When did you die
When did everyone turn on you
There were so many children
Who laughed with you
And squealed as they sat with you
And you were dependable
There year after year
As we grew up we looked for you
But after so many years
You were forgotten
Disregarded
Left to die a slow death
To rot away into dust
I am one of those kids
One who you helped smile
I will never forget you
And neither will anyone else
History will make sure of that

There was once a time
When there was you and I
And we had shared
A friendship beyond compare
No matter how long
We had been apart
Whenever we met
Our bond was untouched
And I remember parks
Laughter and jokes
I remember your eyes
How they smiled
And then we were separated
And I didn't know
How far you'd gone
And long you'd be
Years pasted
And you were
A faint memory
In the back of my mind
But every once and a while
I remembered you
And our treasured friendship
And I smiled
But then you were
Just a passing thought
Sometimes you'd come by
Others not
What happened I heard
Was so sad
But not for children
To understand
So when I remembered you
Once again years past
I looked for you
And I found you
My heart sped up
And my eyes filled up
You look so grown
And yet I got that familiar feeling
The bond of friends
That could be siblings
Forever there
For one another
Yet I didn't make contact
And I guess
That's my mistake
I'll learn from
And one day I pray
That on the street
Of anywhere we are
We shall meet again
