Liquified Poems

Premium MemberReminded Myself

I reminded myself in an unusual way,
While standing in a rain of a watery display,
Soaking in my new town's local splash park,
Remembering how I needn't be in the dark.

I let the risen structuredly flowing fountain
Grant me a liquified sense of liberation
As I basked beneath a cloudy sunlit sky,
Promising myself to never again deeply cry.

I reminded myself on this very special day,
From now on everything'll be more okay.
I embraced all my parts of that were hurting,
As I began speculating every new beginning.

I smiled fondly about who I am becoming,
As I close the chapters for every ending.
I danced in the upwardly cascading rains,
As I silently renounced away all of my pains.

Premium Memberdance with the devil

like a miserable cockroach he wriggled
through wreckage in the sump of his life
bottle in hand and at delirious mouth
in a macabre rehearsal of final strides

what had once been a passionate waltz
had become a legless inebriated pirouette
moribund madness personified
liquified insanity stumbling to hell
with wings of destruction in overdrive

it was a sink hole leap towards the abyss
each jump digging deeper and faster
into the rock bottom of body mind and soul

eventually all music and heart stopped
yet he remembered cacophonous decrescendo
enough to wake up from self-inflicted catatonia

like a phoenix and still tarred and feathered by booze
he decided to rise again whatever the cost

the rest is a miracle and sober blessing and still
he knows that Icarus had pinions of wax
therefore he stayed close to new foundations
of hard-won truths and the reality of his privilege

Premium MemberDecember Dunes

Dear December, forgive my silence,
I'm tired of singing to the moon,
watching the sea swallow flaming rays,
cloaked in shame, am I to take the blame~
dragging clouds of doubt with silver shadows cast?
I never knew words could weigh heavier than dancing diamonds.
Yet, tonight I gaze beyond trembling skies;
perhaps, in their liquified state, metaphors do flow.
So, wait for me when twilight dims,
as poetry breathes your name, amidst darkness…

-
~Forgive my silence
    Mistreated
  Waterfall chandeliers
  Card of lies
  Silent Epistles
  Cerulean seclusion
  Sakura Raindrops
  Heart of time
  Poetry breathes you
Would you still love me ..

Liquified in an elixir
Of eloquence
I seek asylum
For I am an asylum seeker
Seeking for the one and only true Elysium
But will my eolian language
Be enough and not only
Reach daft ears? I hope not!

Yet, I do so fear my eolian tongue
Be too hot and untranslatable
Worse, unheard of

I get so caught up in the moment,
I find myself inside a bubble
Floating upward, and onward
Floating higher Into Infinity
                                         and beyond. . .

Premium MemberThe Narcissist Who Saved Himself - Cynthia Howard - collaboration with Dilly Dally

nothing spoils this surface view ~ see me
crave attention, gift empty touch
tonal mask veils flaws and vices
face alter ego and kneel

to feed the shallow shadow that circles
~ around gossamer tears of the grieving moon,
as silenced streaks of tongue-twisted lines,
undress a puddle of poisoned stars

pull force imperceptible, attraction
lost in blissful contemplation
comatose until that last equation
gravitational persuasion creating longing

but will the lake that flows with fears
thaw words tangled in golden chains?
for I’ve drowned in liquified lies,
drawing perfection from imperfect reflections

delve to the depths of my spun world
peripheral interference dissipates in darkness
only requirement is carved version of self
that steadies my hand and drags me in

sinking beneath Narcissus's polluted undertow
tainted oxygen leaves my expanding lungs
hitting jagged rocks, spoiled skin shreds,
exposing a forgotten empath ~ salvation rises

Premium MemberSakura Raindrops

When the aromatic garden of celestial spheres, splatters acrylic herbs,
I listen to soft serenades of sakura raindrops,
floating along singing sapphires, longing to reach the unseen colors, veiling cherry-blossom skies.

I ponder, if I could catch drizzling silhouettes of dancing diamonds,
would I then find petrichor tales of forsaken twilight?
Perhaps, in their liquified state, metaphors do flow,
as I am the aesthetic aura of the champagne sun before raspberry rain,
chasing butterflies and kaleidoscopic moonstones,
rising from the pit of poisoned puddles,
where petals of pretense play h i d e and s e e k, luring me into a delicate destruction.

Now I swim amidst surging sorrows, finding jade stars~ hidden between tarnished turquoise, allowing trickling jewels of the azure lagoon, to anchor my sunken spirit to an island of unfaltering faith.
There, I’ll see beyond blurred blues, the caramelized eyes of a poetic knight, writing sensual sestinas to soothe my sleepless seas, rippling with rhinestone regrets upon rain-soaked shores.

Premium MemberDescent of grace

waking up in the wee hours of the night
magnetised form charged with divine light
third eye glistened, pulsated and whirred
root at base of spinal column concurred
liquified energy flowed in third eye and spine
in childlike trust our presence chose to align
energisation done we felt a tap on our head
grace descended of which naught can be said
a subtle yet firm energy descent in a swift sweep
from head to toe permeating each cell within deep

or simply stated, to be touched by God

Premium MemberKomorebi

When the last drop of rain falls upon hushed leaves,
and thin threads of hope seep through petrichor perfume of life,
an array of sun kissed colors bursts forth secrets of the sky;
a Komorebi of dreams woven amidst frolicking shadows of moonrise.

I search for an answer to the equations within my hazy mind,
I ponder if poetic verses can paint a forest burnt from ignorance?
as I’ve long been sketching drizzling sakura foliage to find healing,
from butterfly bliss strokes of faith that never fades.

But love is the celestial maestro orchestrating
a cloudless chorus-
where mockingbirds croon to the notes of the sun and moon-
reflecting along rolling ripples of liquified lakes.

Is there a summery phrase to illustrate
the gossamer warmth of cascading rays?
Maybe canopies of emeralds need no lyrical words,
for the heart of moving light only thrums and throbs in sanguine silence.

Apple's Elixir

Tiny seed slumbering beneath.
It Awakens as it spirals out of the soil
Bursting through the ground
Reaching the sky above
It finds itself a giant above the earth.

Budlings bloom on its branches.
Tiny buds slowly bear fruit.
Squirrels snatch to bury away.
Do not realize the true worth.
The fruit that will bear when given time to grow.

Summer bids farewell
Leaves exchange their slender green
For crisp autumn colors
Fall makes itself at home.

Crimson apples nestled upon branches
Shining like rubies in the sunlight
What a perfect time to harvest
Such succulent, sweet things.

How you've longed for this day
From being tiny budlings to shining gems
Now, you strip away your beauty
Rendered into pulp like a caterpillar
Undergoing a metamorphosis.

Broken down and liquified
There's no need to cry
For your sweet nectar
Is given new life
Into a juicy delight.

Little apples you once were
Now, you've become so much more
Within a vial that tickles the senses
Your ambrosiac flavor brings joy
To warm the soul on a cold autumn day.

Quiet like the trees,
Rustling in gentle whispers,
Wrens, robins – scarlet
Cardinals, listening for the
Music of March winds
Caressing the dancing daffodils,
As they hasten to herald
Spring’s laughing sunbeams,
The wonder of sweetest
Serenity, falling in tender
Dewdrop desires, erasing the
Past winter, melting
Away the melancholic, ashen
With vigorous flames,
Pouring from crimson passion,
Infernos of energies,
Intentional, glowing light
Across the azure skies,
Remembering the wisdom
Promising to soothe
Away the pains of twilight
Chill, ending frosts, ice
Liquified by spring’s graceful
Smile, the joy so alive
It frees the heart to fly
Beyond the oceans, in breezes
As alive as the reasons
Spring seems to bring with it
The soft mellowness
Breathed over the heart
Who knows this is the rest
Hastening to silence the dark
With a sigh of inspiration,
Burning away the desperation
The former is gone…
                         winter’s ending
     Brings spring’s beginning

having merged
body and soul
the aspect of us
one with oneness
positions itself
within the spine
from root to crown
and the third eye
magnetic cool heat
therein vitalised
as liquified energy
witnesses the play
of our feeble form
as ego navigates
serpentine pathways
in the maze of life
as it reveals destiny
moment by moment
all moments entwined
thus so celebrating
wondrous gift of life
as seen from the bardo

Strawberry constellations twinkle
As seeds for meteors impact fields of greenery.
Abundance grown, as liquified elixirs are sown,
So unlike any ambrosia ever known.

Sensitive souls meet feisty spirits
Fluffiness of fresh fallen snow
Heat of harsh fiery flames

Natural elements of colliding forces
Possibilities of complementaries
Actualisation of a pair too dire

Contrasts complimenting one assumes
Reality melts the other
Hot fire against chilled snow

Disaster overwhelms surrounding viewers
Liquified tears drown fiery words
A hot puddle is this mess

His Eyes

Woah
when those eyes meet mine
my brains are scrambled, insides liquified
no, they evaporate completely
butterflies don't live in South America,
they live inside of me
filling me
my stomach, my throat my chest cavity,
choking on hundreds of little monarch wings
breath escapes me
i never knew my heart would jump to escape my body
this is ecstasy
no
this is an affliction
i feel alive, i wanna die
isn't that a contradiction
but when those eyes meet mine
you don't look at me, you see me
you don't exist for power,
you don't exist to live out your wildest dreams,
you don't exist to see better days,
you don't exist for currency,
you exist to love, and to be loved by me

please never stop

Premium MemberRadiation Sickness

Having failed yet another repair, on the leaking rods
I spit my liquified bowels all over the walls
Retching up toxic filth within
an expectoration of black lumpy phlegm
forms a pebbledash of grotesque sin
Some I recognize, some I can’t figure out
but it’s me, spewing cancer is my distinctive subtlety
carries my mark, the mark of a closet misanthropist
the splattered mucus develops into a mural
speckled with irradiated lies
Etching deep into the walls
a perfect reflection of my gangrenous soul
Instinctively eating the flesh off my hands
takes away the gnawing pain of paranoia
absolving my torments once and for all,
unencumbered at last, I now feel the truth, agony is real.
look at me, look inward at my outward humiliation
Bleeding out, upon his own sick soul
innards burning like hell
The walls turn molten
meltdown complete
