Quiet like the trees,
Rustling in gentle whispers,
Wrens, robins – scarlet
Cardinals, listening for the
Music of March winds
Caressing the dancing daffodils,
As they hasten to herald
Spring’s laughing sunbeams,
The wonder of sweetest
Serenity, falling in tender
Dewdrop desires, erasing the
Past winter, melting
Away the melancholic, ashen
With vigorous flames,
Pouring from crimson passion,
Infernos of energies,
Intentional, glowing light
Across the azure skies,
Remembering the wisdom
Promising to soothe
Away the pains of twilight
Chill, ending frosts, ice
Liquified by spring’s graceful
Smile, the joy so alive
It frees the heart to fly
Beyond the oceans, in breezes
As alive as the reasons
Spring seems to bring with it
The soft mellowness
Breathed over the heart
Who knows this is the rest
Hastening to silence the dark
With a sigh of inspiration,
Burning away the desperation
The former is gone…
winter’s ending
Brings spring’s beginning
