When the lights go dim
And we no longer visualize
But a shadow in the distance

We look hard
Only to a blur
Through a glimmer of light
Slowly vanishing
Til one
Can no longer see

    bejewelled… dazzling…

      gleaming gemstones shattered…

         mafia mugging

Redbird at midnight
Where did the orange sun go
on Emerald Lane?
Stars twinkle summer
butterfly wings so weary
Lights out cool fireflies.
Resting on jade grass
do the crickets miss their song
in mellow moonlight?
Flowers waltz in pearls
beneath mentionable moon
Bees dream of honey
Warm August nights in stardust.

I have followed
many a rainbow;
as with that illusive
dream have tried
to hold on~ so, one
morning, as the
sun was rising, a beam
I planned to capture--
thinking some light
a thing everyone should
own...my ultimate plan
like Peter's shadow sown
I finalized my scheme
with a Wendy Seam:

But light seeped out
the bottles glass...
and the bars of a cage
just as easy to pass...
trying to grasp
far too fast; exhausted
I attempted to sleep:
came visions of fireflies
and stars endless deep~
giving it my best
I gave out a shout,
but nothing I did or said
could put those blinking
dang lights
out....

Lights Out

Lights out
flicker and fade
 Sunshine soaking up shade
never-ending road
destination unknown
Coal-burning train
hauling a heavy load
Long narrow tunnel
Light at the end
Knowing what's after
We can only pretend

Taps 10PM Lights Out

Drip, drip, drip goes my faucet
a wrench is all that I need
no tools to stop that racket
earphones are more like my speed.

Premium Member Lights Out On Halloween

A hungry ghoul came to my door
Demanding sweet treats, nothing more
When I offered broc'li
The ghoul flashed his “cockney”
(I don’t open doors anymore!)

Lights Out

Dim out press the button, no more at a time was fun now ride, they was all coo, more fun with jewels, learn real fast, rocks and brawns, keep your head up, unload to load, no results , yellin out loud , cause u think U the stuff , in reality, u just a sad case of human waste , no ing with her, she was your friend and kin, a southern thang, all talking the mouth kept going thought one was friend found out she was unwired and pretend , rumors where spread like putting sauce on a sandwich to a bread , since then they mentally dead, homie on the side was sure, for a minute he did ride , in a passenger side , found out things , unpleasant, kept my reach to arm for a length, had his back from a fist to ass beatin, he feel off with his bad intention, sorry again , equal line , I’d trip off again , the pile shortens , of a list of friends , some are made with a few in between, others are made in a pack of green the color red till I crack it , it’s off

life is a few highlights
a few lowlights
but mostly dim lights
then finally-no lights

I have a pimple on my nose
It's amazing how huge pimples grow
It has got so big and red
It lights up my room when I read in bed
I can't give my nose a blow
I'll be delighted when this goes

Lights Out

my brain i'm afraid
has shut out the lights
the powers that be
are out for the night
they only show up
sporadically
hardly in want
never in need
like wind to a kite
does what it likes
the hair of the dog
both barks and bites
with circuits cut short
in how far they reach
a bit out of kilter
a little off beat
from little or not
to the very thought
in the processes of guesses
with all that's been lost
in the middle of this
what i now find
is somehow my brain
has shut out the lights

LIGHTS OUT

electromagnetic grid,
worse than sids, baby,
blowing our crib,
scary!

LET ME BRING YOU
UP TO DATE.
GRIDS ARE DOWN
THROUGHOUT THE STATES.
A HUNDRED AND TEN
WITH SWELTERING HEAT.
WITH SHORTS ON MY BODY
FLIP FLOPS ON MY FEET.
THIS HAS GONE ON
FOR THE LAST 48 HOURS.
ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT
AND STILL HAVE NO POWER.
YET GAMBLERS ARE GAMBLING
BOOKIES BOOK BETS.
PREDICTING THE TIME
THE GRID WILL RESET.
A THUGSTER TRIED THUGGING,
BUT THEN HE GOT SHOT.
WITH A HOLE IN HIS HEAD,
HE WAS DEAD ON THE SPOT.
LOOTERS ARE TARGETS
FOR COPS ON THE STREETS.
WHO TRY TO STOP RIOTS
AND STILL KEEP THE PEACE.
THE BEST PLACE TO BE
IS INSIDE OF MY CAR.
WITH A/C AND MUSIC
AND ENOUGH GAS TO GO FAR.

Never Turn the Lights Out

C-oal clouds turn white,
I-t's because of God's love;
A-llow the cold chill to end,
R-aindrops fade from
A-bove.

M-arch eighteenth Saturday
A-ims to warm your heart;
R-ugged wind turns calm,
C-reating a brand new start.
E-arly morning beacon
L-ets you leave the doubt;
I-ntensify your hope and faith,
N-ever turn the lights
O-ut.

Likely the busiest damn street in all of Canada
Traffic lights are kaput... causing much havoc it's gonna
One end to the other
Frustration I smother
If not working soon they'll be dealing with Papa
