Weaving in and out
Pushing and shoving my way about
Everyone screams and shouts
When my puck knocks his lights out.

Lights Out
By Nathan Hannen
Shadows creep and time ticks
Babies weep and clockwork clicks
Night turns to day, Onward marching
The End.
Form:
We begin the play
I know what to say
Lights out
Music leads the way
Out of sight I pray
Lights out
Lines are oh so gay.
On to stage I stray
Lights out
The Ball drops,
sparkling lights
Clock strikes twelve,
lips pressed together
Dick Clark is rockin,
Confetti's flying
party's over,
Clean up crew
Lights out
Form:
When I was five, bedtime was pretty cool
At nine O clock I would go brush my teeth
I got some goodnight hugs and kisses too
Then it was "lights out little man, sweet dreams"
Tryst
befriends
a hodgepodge
of too much pangs
leading to unsuspected circumstance
despite light at the end of the tunnel
count on lights out
as miss match
no friend
twist
Lights out
No one about
Alone we stand
Object in hand
Silently we move
Ready to remove
Items of wealth
With stealth
Window breaks
Glass in flakes
In we now go
Time for the show
Darkness dares us to dance to a different beat
Some faster, some slower, just watch their feet
One thing for certain, the dancing will end
Last dance, lights out, it's daylight again
the lights are out. you feel alone, you feel scared you feel like you would like to rest
for a while.. you know that in the dark THINKS HAPPEN THAT YOU CAN'T IMAGINE..
THE LIGHTS ARE OUT
Form:
I have a pimple on my nose
It's amazing how huge pimples grow
It has got so big and red
It lights up my room when I read in bed
I can't give my nose a blow
I'll be delighted when this goes
Our first night together, bedside lights out
Tomorrows our new day, our worlds to restart
Union of two is what our lives are all about
Happiness with kids, with love in our hearts
When the lights go dim
And we no longer visualize
But a shadow in the distance
We look hard
Only to a blur
Through a glimmer of light
Slowly vanishing
Til one
Can no longer see
.
Deer young wild free runs
Open meadow grass flowers..
Road impact lights out
Dark Treat
So Sweet
They Kiss
Much Bliss

Likely the busiest damn street in all of Canada
Traffic lights are kaput... causing much havoc it's gonna
One end to the other
Frustration I smother
If not working soon they'll be dealing with Papa
Lights Out
Rudolph the Red
had but one dread
that the light in his snout
would someday go out.

Lights out
flicker and fade
Sunshine soaking up shade
never-ending road
destination unknown
Coal-burning train
hauling a heavy load
Long narrow tunnel
Light at the end
Knowing what's after
We can only pretend

Taps 10PM Lights Out
Drip, drip, drip goes my faucet
a wrench is all that I need
no tools to stop that racket
earphones are more like my speed.

There once was an Internet site
That kept going out like a light
One minute it was there
All the Soupers did stare
C'mon admin, this just ain't right

Memories
of childhood sleepovers;
silly games,
Mom calling, “Lights out!”
flashlights shinning under covers,
then on walls.
Whispers,
“Can you make this shape?”
Impermanent shadows
cohering friendship,
building pleasant
memories.
the lights out
but now not
night but
early
morning i wake
to gnawing
knowing
that
wires and
such don't
taste as
good as
or as much
as peanut
butter
so
wait to
hear the
snap on the
uneatable weight
of what
keeps
me
awake

A hungry ghoul came to my door
Demanding sweet treats, nothing more
When I offered broc'li
The ghoul flashed his “cockney”
(I don’t open doors anymore!)

Stormy weather, lights go out,
Inky blackness all about.
Frightened children scream and shout.
Find the candles, get them out,
Light them quick, place them about.
Candlelight glows putting darkness to rout.

At first the time seem perfect. Everything seem alright when u think it comes to
the best some one has to turn out the lights. Now the tables have turned and
this is what I have learned.
"Something's in life are going to be a disappointment so don't always keep your
hopes up"
Everybody needs to take time out, and so do I.
Put the lights out, it’s day not night.
when you need a break it means timeout.
After working out you take time out,
you go to sleep and wake after time out,
The sun gives way for the moon to take time out,
I'll stop writing now, I need time out.
