Leading a nation is the highest moral responsibility that only wise and temperate men ought to assume.
However, if a fool by trickery or deception succeeds in gaining power, he will soon lead his nation to its doom!

*Dear friends, this poem was inspired by Plato's Republic. From my postgraduate studies in philosophy, I know Plato's thoughts. Seeing what is happening in the world today, I recalled his words. I would love to hear your thoughts.
Leading
Spirit leads us
we follow faithfully
we do not ask for anything
follow
Who needs to be a rider
racing 'round a track
way back in the crowd
I'm going to lead the pack
who needs to be a loser
spinning on their wheels
or yield pole position
I'm going to lead the field
and wear the yellow jersey
the one who wins your heart
no longer in a supporting role
I'll have the starring part
and if you'll be my leading lady
and I'm your leading man
I'll always be upfront
always in the van

Leading life with my broken heart
On your reluctance I am hurt.
Yet my door of heart is not shut.
Cool calm colourful soft serene
Pure holy humble heart of mine,
yearned for your heart to entwine !
With dreamy desire I expect
In future, you'll reciprocate :
May happen soon or may be late.
Yet some day you must show your love
My broken heart, you may observe.
You will admit what I deserve.
What you feel or think about me
I can’t apprehend, I’m sorry.
To accept me or not, you’re free.
Sweetheart, though my heart is broken,
Dear, always my heart is open :
Any time you enter my zone.
My heart is broken, I love you
Heart is aching, I am in rue.
Yet I can’t say ' Adieu '.
Unto God, my soul is His.
To pick me up
when life is amiss.
My hand is His to take
and lead me by still waters
or to walk on the lake.

I took my path, a choice through time,
And time has been my friend,
For years and years, I’ve lightly trod,
On cold and dampened earth.
And earth would lie, whilst I would rise,
My family by my side.
I’ve had the luck, and had the time,
To make my journey worth while.
Blessed is a word, to throw around,
Fortune and luck aswell.
But a choice of path, and choices made,
Have kept me on the ground.
I’ve gambled and won, with opposite paths,
On which I could have taken,
Of course I’m lucky, blessed and all,
But I could have been mistaken.
I’ve lived a stressful, challenging life,
Yet obstacles do not alter,
The path I take, to my final goal,
A goal which won’t be faltered.
To be raised by souls, of a heavenly grade,
To cherish their very existence.
To appreciate everything, which they have done,
For love, for care and forgiveness.
The path I chose, has been so kind,
To enable me to give back.
To the angels who managed to support me through,
The paths of endless dark.
I promise to you, it is my goal,
To care, and prove my love.
I love you all dear, with all my heart,
You were sent to me from above.
there's the sound of your voice in the background
it plays like a guitar strumming the night
and much like a groupie i listen
as if i had never fallen for the illusion
