Leading To Joy

There is a stillness in the yard today
Branches are not moving at all
Shade is empty where pines are tall
Loneliness stirs in a restless way

Sun's warmth grabs areas, it can spread
Hummingbirds find sweet places
With eyes watching and smiling faces
All leading to joy and laughter ahead
