Lacerating Poems | Examples

Premium MemberThreads of the Nether

Corrosion seeps into a floundering mind,
Disembodied memories unbind.
Set free, lacerating into a trembling spine,
Threads of a soul spill, taunting it’ll never be fine.

Abandon the white-knuckle grasp you have on sanity;
You’ve become perverse, a mere profanity.
Watch as we dismantle your facade of vanity,
Swept away on sulphur winds with any remaining humanity.

Stripped bare, exposing inner turmoil beneath,
Into the flesh your darkness sinks its sharpened teeth.
Malignant chaos has been unsheathed,
As to the Nether your soul has been bequeathed.

Premium MemberPainted Doll

Earthquakes of bedlam quell
As tectonic plates of emotional instability cease shifting.
The tears of a discarded clown, suspended in animation—
Numbness overtakes.

Masks slip, shattering.
Shards scrape, lacerating apathetic flesh,
Revealing the painted doll underneath.

Remove its colourful costume;
Discover marionette strings embedded within a fraying back.
Strip the howling voices from its waking nightmares.
Feel deadening voids devour any morsel left of a wounded heart,
Whilst balmy plasma metamorphoses into gelid hemoglobin,
Hardening undying devotion into frigid detest.

Titanium walls, reinforced with razor wire, barricade a hollow soul.
For she was mere amusement for the indoctrinated masses—
An illusion of happiness, playing day in and day out.

Listen, as her inviting laugh transmutes into the cackle of hyenas.
Watch the paint, plastered upon an unwilling face, crack one last time.
Her eleventh hour has arrived.
Bear witness to the merciless statuette you birthed.

Crushed

Petals falling
from unseeded bud
opened by a midnight sun
sparkling it to love
then vanishing
to return on its course
in candle lights
stolen star to star
unmindful
of ice pellets
tearing at the calyx
teardrops
frozen in the throat
lacerating heart
throbbing to harden
like winter in silence.
February weeps
meet a new face
lights start dancing
in the eyes
glances caressing
two hearts
whispering to each other
sweetness
crushed grape
turns to wine
tinting two goblets
crimson!
Eternal seed
buds new life
flame of God's
everlasting light
running through veins
of two hearts
saying to each other: Yes
I love you

Premium MemberA High Price

Consumed are days and nights
By this lacerating lingering longing
To return triumphant to the source of all
Existence is a high price to pay
To come to terms
With what in essence we are

Premium MemberThe Sickle Moon

One mystic blue night dead still,
I’ll steal the silver full moon,
break it into sharp shards,
and stow them in the backyard
under the shadow of the creepy cloud.

The dark devils will enter with fiend
my anguished heart beating vengeance,
hit hard by the moonless dreary darkness,
and make my boiling enraged blood
turn into lacerating incisive lancet.

The sinister scarlet elixir in my veins
the night will drink like wine,
the shining sequined full moon lost,
it’ll make a black one hollow,
darker than the dread of doomsday.

When the impious wolves will slash
the neck of the frozen stillness,
their ominous bark in the chilled air
will shred the nocturnal chastity, it's time
for moon plucking from sordid shadow.

They cunningly ensnare in an instant
the naive malleable minds unaware,
skillfully wrap with mute trance
the innocent hearts trapped
in the travesty tangle of love.

I’ll slit open their deceitful throats,
slice the reveling saccharine lips
with the harvested sickle moon.

Premium MemberSummertime

Summer is the season that brings forth buds and blooms,
When every hill and vale in green livery, clad,
When the busy bee around opening flower zooms,
And stray clouds in the blue-sky roam so glad.

It is the time when grasshoppers vault on silky grass,
When every blade and leaf at dawn sparkles with dew,
When black ants move with tiny carcasses en masse,
And ladybirds dance in frocks of black and red hue.

When on breezy evenings children set out to play,
And men go for angling in babbling brooks.
When farmers after the harvest dry their hay.
And sunbeams weave patterns even in forest nooks.

But summertime pleasantly cool in the evenings can turn,
Sultry at noon when lacerating rays come down to burn!

Ansgt

In mental stasis, I remain,
Moving restlessly, never inane.
Nomadic actions, thoughts immobile,
A dichotomy within, deeply hostile.

Self-pity offers a deceptive release,
A dopamine hit, a false sense of peace,
Clawing at myself, seeking the thrill,
Lacerating tendons, a need to fulfil.

Red-handed, pale-hearted, I stand,
Distanced, departed, to the unknown land.
Uncharted, unguarded, my soul's domain,
Discarded, disregarded, from my own disdain.
That started from stopping...

Premium MemberWhen Everything Else Loses Its Voice

We're now into the year of twenty twenty three
And still there's no solution to see eye to eye
Will we learn since descending from the trees
Or are we everending to simply walk on by

Lifes global insecurities amidst epidemic rife
Whilst conglomeration greed suffocates souls
Lacerating lives like a dark alley flick knife
It'll never be for the poor, only richers goals

We're now into the year of twenty twenty three
It's been a year since two neighbours became
Will they learn since descending from the trees
Its the same old story, no one takes the blame

Lifes global insecurities amidst epidemic rife
Blatant corruption aplenty, food banks strive
As we read, the constant fueling, more strife
Knowing days, the next, accumulating lives

We're now into the year of twenty twenty three
Its all very well the few that can bunker down
Then, when everything else loses its voice
Were we mapped out, to our radiation drown.

Premium MemberWinter Storm

The smoky sky serenades serenely
The winter’s freezing song
The tune whistled with lacerating chill
By the wafting arctic wind.

The stilled clumps of charcoal cloud
Disperse with the dancing frozen flakes
The feathers of fleeting snow float
On the pulsating waves of the cross breeze.

The skeletons of the stripped trees
Can’t bear the burden of the snow stack
As the branches crash under the load
The cracking sound splits the icy silence.

The blowing blizzard breaks asunder
The pervading congealed stillness
That grips the desolate white landscape
Battered by the sleet of the winter storm.

Resonance of a Lost Love

resounding bittering
     lacerating and
     painful deafening ,
     tremendous scream
      is the sound
     of a ruined love...
     so adrift, so astray !

Premium MemberUkraine

Unimaginable day to day scenes through their eyes
Kremlin seeds of war raining down on the innocents
Roaring, whistling of projectiles lacerating their air
As their notes end, delivering devasting consequences
In the mind of the one, whom Russians can't count upon
Never should a peaceful nation endure a bully's ego
Ending such, please, someone stand up against, he!

To Read the Book of Dead

You need not know that my silver is gold or how little I loved before I had your hold.
O’er I stood again, shoveling flowers off graves to offer the dead.

“Now that I yearn for your lacerating nails, where are they?”
Ceasing into everlasting life, in disguise of death.

I, while reading the book of death, and thinking abt the muse who is dead. And not death as ‘end’ but as life which is frozen, as a life which is everlasting and living in me. Mirrors meaning underworld in wayward hues leaving reminiscence of empty picture frames like rainbow rust in delicate dust growing wildflower hearts.
Why must ridges of your body run clean knives and remind me of what it feels like to stand alone? And why must you resurrect right where my soul is?

Forgiveness

Betrayal, like a vice,
 Paralyzes
Abuse leaves unseen marks
 In open scars
Surprise personal attacks
 Leave the soul sputtering
Deception’s whirlwinds
 Spin dizzy unbalance
Lies’ masks of deceit
 Destroy loyalty
Ridicule slashes love
 Lacerating trust
Arrogance breeds anger
 Shredding humble conversation

Hard won forgiveness
 Releases the soul
Letting God
 Heal with balm
Past the portal
 Of understanding
Letting God
 Met out the consequence
Understanding we too
 Receive forgiveness

Unspoken Burden

There’s a deep burning encumbrance
Lagging within my torso
Its lacerating my soul
No explanation, ask Picasso

Occasionally, I wish I never knew you
Un-acquainting my best friend
I bind fast and then I bruise
When I feel like I’m losing you again

I can’t express it verbally
And it’s something you wouldn’t comprehend too
You have human embroideries
And what I have is you

Cognizant of your concord
You’re taking my unique one too
It was like a smack in my face
Asking me for something, I didn’t want to do

How could you not know the backwash
That cracked my benevolence
I thought we were so adjacent
Tout de suite moved my smile into spins.

No explanation, just “Picasso” the sense of my verse
I’m not devoted with love for you, I just feel demolished
Like a once colourful stained glass
Now gray and cannot be polished
