The Arrival

The hidden one moves in silence
with violent footsteps
pounding the pavement
While grounding itself to disengage
from grooves designed to uproot
it found its level
Leveling to find balance between
the liquid & solid only enhanced
its brolic nature
There's no frolicking between
the halves described in nature
for this is a serious
matter of things
This being flows through a world
akin to dreams
but is awake to the
world it is seeing
Its eyes are open to views
above & below
for it knows you need both
on this plane of being
to grow
This is growth from a seed
that was buried in darkness
& rose but not without
being detected
I'm not sure what you're seeing
but what is being projected
is the truth
& nothing but
No rut is deep enough to stop
you from shining
& branching out leaving
the dirt behind
Be blind to the attacks
on your mind
but feel them to internalize
then use it to grind
My mind operates like night
& day
so the sun and moon
are its compass
We're in the middle of it all
winter
spring
summer
& fall
but no season
is a losing one
I have compassion for those
lost in the darkness of night
& don't see that
the sun has come

Premium Member Walk the Walk

We take up our cross as Jesus said.
Following the way that He has led.
	When the call is heard
	Internalize the Word
For hands will follow heart will follow head.

Be just who the Lord wants you to be.
Look to Him and you can’t help but see
	Life can be fulfilled
	When living out God’s will
And yes, you, too, can live eternally!

Trying hard to live the life you should,
Think and say and do only the good.
        Life can be renewed,
	With holy grace imbued
If we stand strong just as our Savior stood.

Blak Ice

You must get back up on your feet after you
slip & take a fall
Much can be learned while on the ground that
helps the soul to evolve
Search for the meaning of the fall to help
avoid another slip
Take stock of the acts along the way & then
proceed to flip the script
Internalize the little things that help you grow as
you can turn pain into power
Eat whatever life serves to you on a platter
even if it's meant to devour
Learn to do better if you can as knowledge is
the way to steady growth
Sometimes we have to fall to see we're slipping
but you can learn from them both

Premium Member Ascent From Misery

It’s a long slow trip into misery
It starts by putting that bad feeling aside

By narrowing your expectations
And removing all of your pride

And as you make you humble
You actually cripple as well

You reach so far to have someone else
That it actually puts you in hell

It’s a long slow trip into misery
From which I must return

And in order to do this
I must internalize the lessons learned

To believe in me
To set me free

To walk into the light
And possibly disappear from sight

Ode To a Fallen Sparrow

Oh, dear Sparrow! Fallen still
Softly feathered where you lay
As of a soldier gently eased
To sleep in dreams away
Whose dying wish was lost, was lost
In wars of yesterday

Your folded wings are nestled close
Your uniform unmarred
There is no stain upon your coat
Nor mark upon your bars
It seems from battle you emerged
Without a battle scar

For there you are composed, serene
Your earthly visage calm
No sign of struggle or of strife
No specter of alarm
Nor outward damage I can see –
Within, then, be the harm

Where broken wounds internalize
Beyond the battlefield
Where kamikaze skirmishes
Could not survive the steel
And solid soundness of the pane
Which from you did not yield

To you then, fallen warrior
In tribute, hear my prayer –
That you may soar unbounded, free
With worry none, nor care
In everlasting flight on wings
As virtual as air –

Premium Member Don'T Quit Your Daydream

Night dreams. From whence do they come?
Night dreams. To where are they going?
Night dreams. Perhaps from daily thoughts;
                     Surface as well as sub-conscience
Ones. They come and they go. We have
                     No say. And sometimes, we interpret them;
Some interested ones may even label them.
But most times, we simply table them.

Daydreams: Retain and don't let go.
Daydreams: They embrace and consume us.
Daydreams: Are they not inhaled, or inspired?
Daydreams: Others may never understand them.
Daydreams: If they point toward your destiny;
                   If your Master gave them to you;
                   Do not allow yourself to be penalized;
                   But internalize your daydreams, giving
Them to your Maker. Through you, He will
Use them for His own glory and purpose.

Premium Member Where Is God Hiding

God dwells in the sanctum sanatorium of my heart,
Even at death of mortal body he does not depart;
Ignorance is not the obstacle that blocks him from me,
Reluctance to see him stops me in his presence to be..!

I know this truth; understand it; and do internalize;
Thirst - unquenchable - for him in me, yet, does not arise;
Human beings, many, search him endlessly, but can't find,
Though known hundred of concepts on him, I'm willingly blind...

Scriptures try to open my eyes; saints and sages show paths.
I am not seeker; will I think of death or aftermath?
This world and things in it are enough; This thought fills my mind,
Even if God comes before me, will I his presence find...?

Desire for him should burn in me like the blazing fire,
Urge to be with him, like child with father, should grow higher;
A heart of flesh not of stone, I must joyously adorn,
With an endless love to live in him, I must be reborn...!

Premium Member A Hidden Message

Some folks tend to awfulize
Others prefer to dramatize,
There are those who fantasize
Many people will improvise.
I know a few who tantalize
Even resort to marginalize
Those who are short in size,
Which will often destabilize
Because they may internalize,
Which is not always wise!
Three times a week, I advise,
It’s a good thing to exercise!

Rotten Games and Gotten Strange

12/27/21

Did poorly or was doing just fine
The outcome was negative or had a plus sign
Always not just sometimes
Being one of a kind
Under the moonlight and sunshine
When it took a turn for the worse or was sublime

No longer getting brushed aside
Seeking what it is that I must find
On the frontlines

Can't force it
Or forfeit
Held true or was horse

Bought it or couldn't afford it
Crystal clear or distorted
Unavoidable or able to be thwarted

Saw it coming from the crows nest
Meanwhile, most think they know best
As they struggle to clean up their own mess
Very quick to protest
In their ways they are so set

For the greater good or due to greed it was commercialized
All of this, I could not internalize
Something still stirs inside
It's tragic that humans and animals got burned alive

Better be something you're sure about
Or it'll have an unsuccessful turnout
Close and far from any birdhouse

So many rotten games
It has gotten strange
All about the profit gains
Not any pocket change

Premium Member Frolic Is the Word

Frolic is one of my ultimate favorite words; it feels like skipping
Leading me to fancy, fabulous, fabulific, funny, favorable flipping
It has a jazziness to it that is dazzling and delightful
It makes my childlike self-internalize and be more insightful.
Frolic is a word that brings me quickly into a mood for playful dance.
A word that uplifts my heart and makes me want to neigh and prance.
I try to not use it in every lighthearted, joyful poem that I write.
But this is not easy, for it comes quickly makes missives feel right.

Stoicism

Why busy yourself with trivial matters

Or waste your thoughts on climbing social ladders

Fitting in line and always doing what you’re told

Then forced to feel that regret when you’re wrinkly and old

My path is different, not paved, yet seldom walked

It requires great effort to be seen and unlocked

The way of the stoic, many have heard of the word

And is quickly discarded; perhaps viewed as absurd

Not for the virtue, the ideals or contemplations

But for the fact that it challenges rigid, lazy foundations

It teaches you to internalize that life is love and pain

Endure the bad and the good and try not to complain

The premise is balance, wisdom, and acceptance

To love working all your life for understanding and transcendence

So love fiercely my friend and fight all of your battles

Fill your mind with wisdom and unbind your needless shackles

Premium Member A Poets Song

A song to express myself arose
To help me grow my heart and mind I chose
To internalize, feed and bloom
A bit of salt and pepper sprinkle
on my hungry soul
And so I wrote a poem.

A quiet place, filled with calm and silence
The song of birds, the whisper of a breeze
through the rustling of the leaves
Awakening my silent heart
And so I wrote a poem

With eyes open wide I look up at the sky
A piece of amazing blue or
a strangely shaped cloud
A sunrise or a sunset or a big grey expanse
Or the stars and the moon
And so I wrote a poem.

For the people in my life
A parent or a child, a neighbour or a friend
The chance to send some sweet thoughts
for the love in our hearts to flow
And so I wrote a poem.

Premium Member Let Them Go

"It's healthy to let your feelings out, then let them go."
So many times the above I have been told.
When I let my feelings out I have a tendency to explode,
because I internalize everything with no outlet to unload,
so my feelings get out there, but I can't seem to let them go,
they just internalize again until I again explode.
How does one let their feelings out, and then let them go?
If anyone is familiar with that process, I would sure like to know.

For Healing Inside

"Start from something simple", he said,
Something simple could mean many things
A cell-phone, a broach, a little note book
Some scribbles, some jotted down notes
But above all, it was a start, a true one, indeed.

Think through the tough time. It will be mended anyhow
Just with the floating clouds, just with the scorching heat
Leaving whatever was true, whatever was a true bonding
I wanted to internalize , I wanted to elaborate, in my self
But above all, it was something to understand, a deep one, indeed.

Now, I will let you go, for you are obviously tired and wounded, you seem so.
May be I can tap my cell phone to send the message almost worldwide.
For you. For me. For all. For healing inside.
After all, offense or defense are not good strategies to uphold memories.
