A Hidden Message

Some folks tend to awfulize Others prefer to dramatize, There are those who fantasize Many people will improvise. I know a few who tantalize Even resort to marginalize Those who are short in size, Which will often destabilize Because they may internalize, Which is not always wise! Three times a week, I advise, It’s a good thing to exercise!

Did you find a secret message????

Sorry about your blog. It did turn out to be an interesting conversation. So many crawled out of the wood work that love to stir soup. Blessings my friend.

It was a topic some newer soupers had written to me about, and a topic which I had some thoughts about, as well. I should've figured that would happen, as it has so many times before, but I think it was a good conversation...and we did, finally get Admin's attention. Thanks, Eve, for your participation and your concerns.

I really liked this poem. I think the hidden message I found is something that scandalizes.

I must be dense. I am searching for maybe a hidden message inside the text. haha. Of all these lines, I think the one i'm best at is improvising! oh, and the exercise too! Loved the monorhyming, MIlt.

Well, there are several messages, but I had in mind not picking on short people. Others zero in on the importance of exercise, as you did. No, you are NOT dense, Andrea. I was being a bit obtuse! Also, there's a hint about bullying, too.

I certainly agree with your message Milton, our old neighbour had a party and she was up dancing and said "use it or lose it" she was 90. Gone now, God rest her soul. Tom

God rest her soul. She was absolutely right, and I'll bet she's teaching dancing up there!

You've nailed it once again, Milton, with this masterpiece of poetic excellence. Every word is meaningfully placed and the last line sadly, makes me feel guilty for not meeting that expectation. But don't worry, I won't hold you personally responsible:)

I wouldn't presume to minimalize this delightful piece, L M. And I love "awfulize"...Ogden Nash couldn't have done better.

Thanks so much, Jim. When I would come home for a doctor's visit, my wife would often accuse me of "awfulizing" what he would tell me. I think it means thinking the worst, right? Oh, I think we all do that from time to time. I remember when my grandfather thought he was at death's door, then, they removed his ulcer and he lived a long, long life! Oh, I'm sure Ogden Nash could have done better, my friend.
