Premium MemberOde To Summer's End

The swallow has gone,
Flown away, so has its mellow song
And so forth we go,
into bluer skies—indigo
Tempts drift further till tepid
Southern shades should not bid
Amid its alibi is incidence,
sun shrinks in appearance
Grayest shadows deepen
The first cool breezeway creeps in
Much warmth shall be ebbing,
heralding winter's woolen webbing
I count my blessings
of summer’s endings:
Abundance of sunshine so bright
Zephyrs on a tender August night
Book clubbing with best of friends,
Labor Day weekend marks summer’s end
As Summer ends Fall shall begin,
and what joyful gifts a winding wind
against glistening skin
Autumns kiss of this kind,
an earthly bliss entwined
And when the swallow returns,
no longer summer yearns
no longer summer yearns

Premium Memberrough draft of the I don't care

When I was a boy,
I was snarky and coy,
I learnt the lessons,
when the bullies
beat the heck out of me
and too right as this
was my personality
and this little prick
was being such a dick.

Living so vividly
being taught a lesson,
I still smoked in the boy's
of the toilets
and got caught.
The teacher waited,
until I inhaled the last
as I knew it made no difference.
I was going to cop a suspension
again.....anyway.

My mother's claws were a hawk's
when she got home,
and I tried so gently,
to break down the truth
but its no incidence
She delivered deliverance....

I had already locked the back door,
but she still scratched the
hell out of my face,
like an involuntary impatient,
I hate the fact,
as she was healthy
I was still the death
of her.......
before her illnesses.

I don't know of why my anarchy
I never obey rules of monastery
Its just that I always lived,
and I am now drowning
as I'm trying to breathe,

I remember the starfishes
upon collection of beaches,
My Auntie's a pianist
but my memorial
Especially my Uncle,
pulled coins from my ears.
2 dollar coins
worth 10 dollars
today.

Let the decision stand

The sphere of influence is as big as the globe
"To stand by things decided"
We're obligated to follow precedents
What happened before the cold war,
Influences the decisions made in today's courts
Questions and arguments rise for this principle
Yet echoes of the dead say "let justice be served"

"Stare decisis"
Is it up to scratch?
It ensures uniform application of the law
Not like any random inconsistent policy,
The law is as consistent as waves kissing the shore
To let the decision stand is to be class
And class is permanent
It does not consider the environment
Though there is a little space for improvement

Law deals with precedents
Just a different time of incidence
Our lives are guided by how our ancestors were judged
Case law, went through criticism and survived
No one is above the law!
We shall live by it
Stare decisis!!

The Wide Devastation

Long after the lively spring came quite early...
every narrow hill's path laid in solemn tranquility,
faint footprints on solid ground under black booths
smeared with stains by damaged, leaking roofs.

It took longer to reach the hilltop being forced to halt
before a fallen tree toppled down by the hurricane Milton:
can Nature be as violent as man's mad temperament?
A barren land without trees cries out in utter desperation!

Going further up, slouching on blunders over huge vallies below,
climbing takes a big effort to get to a planned destination too slow;
strong legs are needed to climb sharp peaks, looking forward and advance:
a little mishap can cost your life: return to safer ground without incidence!

One can see clearer the wide devastation from the highest peak,
watch that pelican in distress aimlessly searching for her hatchling
ravaged by the force of that howling wind over the dogwood creek;
don't hesitate to come down quickly and help out the hopeless living!

Brave your own battle, O Draupadi - 3

Take to arms, who will come ye to save?
What hope from face-less faces ye have?
Never plead, nor for them ever rave,
From shameless what succour can ye crave?
Take to arms, none will come ye to save.

Poet’s note: This is third in the three-piece series on the theme. The incidence is taken from Mahabharata during Draupadi’s vastra-haran, disrobing. All the elderly so-called keepers of dharma keep quiet in the name of righteous action under the circumstances. The original in Gujarati as transliterated (in PS-acceptable way) is as under:

Suno Daraupadi, shastra uthaalo, ab naa Givind aayenge,
Kab tak aas lagaaohi tum bike hue akhabaaro se,
Kaisee rakshaa maang rahi ho Duhshaasaan darbaaro se?
Svayam jo lajjaa heen pade hai vo kyaa laaj bachaayenge!
Suno Daraupadi, shastra uthaalo, ab naa Givind aayenge.

Seasons come and go --
How ends the fillings?

Recycled we know:

rain back to the sky,
leaves to soil,
sandy runoff, particle
debris, for oysters to make
pearly luxuries --

snow on mountains
for short spell may stay
or a billion days may lay –

a store of time
in the icy clime
of glaciers,

and the earth
changes rotation;

sun, its incidence~
cooling and warming
inclination --

oceans where land,
land replacing sea --

doubtless, somehow
we will all meet again

when life
comes round
to eternity….

English Hill

Come with me to St Matthews cemetery
a flock of culpability
What are red faces for ?
The incidence of pious Rosetta
At the graves edge
he was returned
An avalanche of prayers
omits forgiveness
A life unworthily lived
unmatching the reverend

The bats resume their business
The uneasiness of the pews
Feathers are the sinews of hope
Their curved plumage
thinks well of an English Hill

Happenstance

Was it just a co-incidence?
How on earth did 'we' gained confidence?
Are you the wish that I've been waiting to come true?
Or the stardust in the form of you?

I fall a little more for you as each day passes by.
It doesn't matter what I go through if you're my ally.

You're my firefly; even in then hopeless night you keep on reminding me that there's still light.
I promise we'll go on holding hands throughout the days and the nights.
We're still young and free.
There are still many dazzling times we got to see.
The fate will have to surender infront of us.
'Cause we are a syzygy due to trust.

Premium MemberWe Are Friends

Like coincidence,
We are a wonderful incidence.
We are friends who always meet again.

With a treasury of memories
We always were friends with ease.
Always remember you and me, please.

Like eminence,
We are of significance.
We are friends in resonance.

Through this book of time
We always are friends with prime.
Always look back at our good times.

Like prominence,
We are to each other of relevance.
We are friends by providence.

Alongside this road of endeavour
We always will be friends forever.
Always think of one another.

Like diligence,
We always together advance.
We always star in life's dance.

This I promise you,
We are friends thick and through.
We are friends so true.

Premium MemberExceptional Times, Exceptional Measures

Exceptional times require exceptional measures
In our everyday lives we experience this truth
Times of stress, or, in rare incidence for pleasures
A challenge from our peers sparking curiosity,
Provoking us to engage in the most insane ruse
Wisdom shows itself in most annoying paucity
Comes the time when we eschew such rashness
But, in youth, almost every adventure is novel,
So, we entertain ourselves in unabating brashness
And exceptional times are replaced by maturity
Having experienced almost everything before
Comes the time when exceptional measures bore.

Premium MemberThe Mysterious World

The mysterious third eye
On your forehead
Invisible
A perception beyond ordinary sight Through deep meditation
The sixth sense
A feeling of incidence
Beyond understanding
And before its occurance
An inspiration
An invoke of a thought or an interest
An astral vision
To see the world of ghosts
What are all these mysteries
Beyond our wisdom and perception
In this unfair world
We'll just like to interprete that
Secrets or sin will be known
Sooner or later
You'll not be free from judgements
If any

Premium MemberTranscendence Divine

Wondrously divine in its transcendence
God’s love* affirms kindness of providence
Radiating tender mercy’s resplendence
Defying any counter evidence….
My heart does claim with grateful confidence.

Marked by compassionate condescendence
Christ’s love is offered with heaven’s credence
Midst His sacrifice against impudence
Asserting biblical jurisprudence…
My faith accepts along praise-filled prudence.

Wrought with sovereign superintendence
The Lord’s love marches through grace-incidence
Redeeming those in sin-guilt despondence
Pardoning them from confessed decadence…
My soul receives midst earnest dependence.

Blest to grant everlasting residence
Saviour’s love gives hope of trust’s precedence
From hell’s eternal evil dissidence
Imputing righteousness with peace cadence…
My life owns against selfish diffidence.

*1John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

The New Concept of Romance

One can fall in love madly
if he accepts it and believes it;
someone else might choose to be free
and regret his decision when he'll be lonely:
what will you pick and stick to it?
It might be unwise to disagree!

If he chooses to love, it's much better for him,
but if he chooses freedom,
he can't escape boredom;
loneliness can put on hold his precious dream!

The new concept of romance
confuses people and enrages them;
the new concept of romance
without any strict rules to follow:
brings darkness in their tomorrow...
living a worthless life without esteem!

Today lovers are so selfish
and they're unwilling to make the sacrifice;
today lovers have only one wish:
to hurt others refusing don't pay the price!

The concept of romance
has changed meaning, it's only an incidence;
the concept of romance
is stripped of the passion that was so intense!

Premium MemberBoulder Colorado Shootings

A tragic mass shooing has occurred once more.
This time, in a Boulder, Colorado grocery store.
Today, it seems there is no safe place to go.
Incidence of gun violence seems to grow.
The number of murdered victims amounted to ten.
It looks like we cannot keep this from happening again.

The Night She Was Raped

A joyful day after she was called upon
By one of her friends in the name of party.
She never hesitated, but went as she was Called in the name of trust.
They did all they could do, flexing & relaxing.

On her way home, she was captured by Unknown men.
They harmed her body for their pleasures.
For them, she was a body wrapped in flesh & Blood.

They were curde; they were brutal.
She cried, she shouted.
Her voice was shut down in the dark.
My country, my justice, but they were all
Fallen to sleep.

Cinderella lost her slipper at night, but
She was not raped, but why her?
They harm her body not her spirit.
She might die, but her spirit will fight.

People will stand for the justice of her life.
As day will pass, her voice will disappear
In the crowd.
Everyone will remember her as the incidence.
She suffer, she doesn't want other to suffer
Stand strong, be loud.
