True Story

I had a vision,a waking dream.I drove someone,a female to a beautiful secluded spot in nature. It may have been the trail of tears state park.We sat in the car and talked for a while till I asked her would she like for me to take a stroll allowing her some privacy for the storm that was brewing. She said no ,she wanted my presence .Almost inaudibly a sound began as if from the soles of her feet building in volume and intensity .As each resistant cell released what it had long held the volume continued to escalate as it sought a point of egress.Arriving at her wild eyed contorted face she looked at me questiongly.I responded with a look of calm reassurance that she would endure this . it ripped its way up her throat pulling her head back with the force of the long contained explosion of pain releasing a scream that both frightened and awed . A ferral non human wale of a banshee that made the hair stand stiffly at the nape of my neck .
Then she collapsed into an outpouring ,no flood gate
Could have contained removing the last vestiges of the unbearable weight she had exhaustively carried. And then she was well.

Premium MemberThe Buddha Smiles

He sits smiling
Almost smirking
Inaudibly chanting
OOOOOOOOOO…my
OOOOOOOOOO…my

A gathering
Of gatherers
Seizing moments of glee
Lost in animated wrapping paper

Children lost in a moment
Bathing in the innocence of now
Sharing their unfettered joy

The Buddha smiles
Knowing
They will spend a lifetime
In search of
such moments

Red Telephone Booth

An old gaunt lady
With feeble steps
Walked to the red telephone booth
On the roadside pavement
Every day she dialed a number
And spoke inaudibly into the receiver
As tears streamed down her crinkly face
This continued for an hour
Until she resigned for the day
Hoping for another heartfelt conversation
A baffling mystery unsettled us
Spectators to this daily drama.

Captain Picard enters his quarters
after a hard day on the bridge, the
Enterprise had left Klingon space

    Tea, Earl Grey, hot

The replicator whirred inaudibly

    Damn it!
    Cup!
    CUP!

    Water, soapy, hot

The replicator responded again

    Damn it!
    Red alert!

Premium MemberMy Mental Moshpit

Sudden snakes in my brain
what a waste are my inaudible cries
mental welts I give myself
because I made you leave
now you hate me
screw my life
it's all just too hard to believe

Inaudibly I crumble and fall into the dirt
don't bury me, just leave me here
dead inside, inert
I died the day you left me
I'd never felt so hurt

Hope in the shape of Zoloft
just doesn't do the trick
I read our chats over and over
and the flogging bud of failure
knowing how much I lost
leaves me feeling sick

you said I was toxic maybe that's true
I only know
I've never loved anyone the way I love you
my mental mosh pit, my hodgepodge mind
I feel so much, but I'll never say
and the snakes in my brain
will probably never go away

Premium MemberYou'Re Pretty

I love you sweetheart
These words are true
In plain old English
I'm telling you
I've never loved
This way before
You stole my heart
Your troubador
Has a nest for you
Inside his heart
Come live there my bluebird
Inside's a guitar
That plays for you
Constantly
Folk and acoustic
Inaudibly

Premium MemberThe Consoling Language of Trees

I am from the clan of trees
we speak in the language of nature’s hidden tongue
for our souls talk under the ground
in the roots where we are bound
we are held together with the promise of living
we cling in the dirt to hear our language found
from the years of age and circles growing within our core
without a sound we reach the impasse of great distance
to articulate our prophecy to the arbor family
the ash to the maple, the pine to the oak
by gently, ever so gently flowing
through the depths of rock and rim
in waves of whispers that reaffirm
our slivers and branch’s cloak
captured in the shedding of light and elements of soil
climbing and spreading to heaven’s design
our common perfection to refine
we hold one to the other to protect and evoke
our tangle of trials of cold and smoke
through droughts and strife
we speak with quiet magnificence
for the cluster of forests that inaudibly touch
in times of trouble and toil

Wait, Be Still

A few more pieces
fell out from under you today.
Did you feel it ?
I'm sure you didn't see it,
and you probably didn't hear.
Some chips and pebbles
fell almost inaudibly
on the quietly waiting rocks,
and some dropped into the water,
you'd have liked that.
Wait. Just wait right there,
right here.
I cannot let you go.
Some day, but not today.
Be still a while,
you do it so well.
They won't let you go,
they won't let me let you go.
Some day surely,
but I can't let you go today.

First Thing

The morning is quiet.
I have not yet gone outside.
I yawn inaudibly.

What will the day be like?
Will things be okay?
What should I do about?
What will happen if?

It all floods back at me.
A never ending onslaught of…
So many things I think about.
Only moments before,
peace.
Now?
Not!

I want to roll over.
I want to go back to bed.
I want to pull the covers over my head.
I want permission to stay where I am.
No one is going to give me that.
Not even me…

Work is calling.
One kind or another,
“it” knows the word or words,
used to bring me from my stupor.
Yet, I linger.

Do I have time to pray?

The Tree That Never Was

Its leave fall on the garden that was never planted,
Its branches tickle the roof that was never painted.

It gives shade to the sandpit that was never christened,
Its roots encroach on the lawn that was never mowed.

It blocks the drains that were never laid.
It bears fruit that has never been tasted.
This tree that was never planted,
That inaudibly sighed,
As the people waited by the river that no longer flowed,
By a dying tree that no longer shaded,
Hoping for the rains that will never come, unaided,
Having passed them by for lands, that with trees have been upgraded,
Planted by people who were like minded,
In seeing the need for trees to be planted,
So, the rains can be taken for granted.
And Mankind not supplanted.

The Soil Cry

Earth was peaceful
In the time of remembering
Where the pasture looks so flourish
Childreen roam around the green-field
And they Cheers in an urban glory
Every where looks so beautiful in winter
Pitter-patter falls on you in the summer
There were zestfulness and lovely cool breezy
Comes the jealousy and greedy
The one that turn a blind eye
The one that eat from the pains of others
I mean the one that satisfy the Godfathers
A war range on the world
Not between continent nor race
Not even racism, a damnation on earth
There is a lot of rubbles
That comes from the oppressor
As we have seen with Palestine and Burma
As we have seen with Syria, Libya and northern Nigeria
Horrible death and some sold into slavery
Horrendous hating and severely killings
Blood splatter, metallurgy shard
Holocaust and ungodly blockades
Children famished and suffocate in a cubicle
A brimstone on the soil
Set by the powerful oppressors
Severely damages and
With brokens and burnt doors
No love again only hatred full the world
Killing in extreme colossal in the name of devil-god
The Earth sough, heaven looks so weary
The soil cry inaudibly.

Oneirodynia

As I lay sleeping, I dreamed of a caravan
Chased by a hydra and a ten foot bogeyman
As I slumbered, I saw a desert moon descending
Monster lumbered as my arms were extending

In my quiescent state, I murmured inaudibly
Then I defended the procession most laudably
In my night fantasy, my strikes had no strength
My fists had no speed and my reach had no length

My nocturnal imagination had surely run amok
I lay awe struck like a sitting duck with bad luck
Was it something I ate? The residue of the day?
Was it guilt of past mistakes or something I didn't say?

As my nightmare unraveled and I awoke
I ruminated on all the feelings it evoked
As I shook loose the cobwebs and gathered my wits
I raised a middle finger to my internal abyss

Arrivals

Unblouse your breast
Where to nuzzle and warm
Areola to moisten and mouth
Urgency need, I scarce was born
Unclothe me in all unrighteousness
Sing for me no lullabye
Fetus reflection in alabaster eyes

Yours will forgive me, so softly they plead
The call in my eyes , so loving beguiled
Answers my whisper
Inaudibly you whimper
Reaching for the hearth of your home
Furthermost far, the call of the grave
But if I should die, please bury me here

We slipped passed the guards, their caution neglect
Our passion en-garde, the phallus erect
Discover a pebble in fissurely crag
Rolling in wonders and nacred in pearl

Both of us crying exhortations of love
Loving ungainly like giraffe on the run
Speaking in gibberish, talking in tongues
Becoming immortal banging the drum
Surpassing the portal the bloodhounds unleash
I Mount Vesuvius, youre so within reach

Im falling for you in tubular bells
Demolition crawls
Pots and pans all over the place
Flaming torpedos pock-mark the Earth
Harpooning the squid in ink fibrillation
Ecclectic joy in sense celebration
Two souls arriving from deep within
In baptismal breath I was born once again

The Slain Sun Dissolves

bleeding purple scents of storms ignite imagined nations of magi
dressed as scholars wearing blank faces feeding the furnace cash
scrawled in ink infused with tones of blood inaudibly whistling
dirges of delirious breath invoking the name of struggles flexing
dense cords of flesh swelling screams hiding in a temple’s glow
blasting the essence of western fantasies bellowing conceptions
inside dead vehicles sunsets drizzle hints of pain releasing life
throughout leveled highways perched owls project earth’s key
